I saw the title of this video and KNEW the comments section would be a warzone.

Nas is on a spiritual plane of his own. He is the only rapper that has rhymed about every topic from A to Z. Songs like "Fetus", "Rewind", and "I Gave You Power". He is unmatched conceptually. Eminem is a wordsmith (probably the best there is, next to Treach), but conceptually no one comes close to Nas. He is beyond trying to body a track or just trying to say something disgusting for shock value. He is Rap's Da Vinci.

The thing about Eminem's audience is this: His fans overrate him, his non-fans underrate him. Tell me I'm wrong if you feel like lying.

I like Nas because of his voice, delivery and lyrics. His voice is timeless.

Damn, so many black people are mad at the fact that the best rapper alive happens to be white. It's not that people don't like Eminem because he's white, we like him because he has incredible skills and doesn't have to say the word "nigga" 50 times in every song to be cool. Both Em and Nas can take a shit on everyone of those other rappers including Jay Z.

Nas and Eminem are my two favourite rappers I think it's unuseful argue about who's better, it's all about opinions. They are both gods for me and they respect each other and that's enough for me. I think Illmatic and MMLP are two classics which changed the rap game in very different ways. Life is Good was a great album, I personally prefered MMLP2 because I can relate more, but it doesn't mean that it is better. I just can't stand Kanye calling Drake 'the rap god'. For me Pac, Nas, Em, Biggie, Rakim, LL and few others are worthy to be called that, I don't even wanna consider Drake a rapper. Sorry for bad english.

Big Sean is articulate, and he’s fire on point with what he does. Guys like him stick around a long time, and end up sitting in a LOT of chairs. Nas is one of a kind, period. We are still getting the ripples from where he stepped into the game.

There is a difference between a rapper who can spit and place rhyming words together easily and a rapper who can tell a story so vivid you can see it , with barz as poetic and creative as Shakespeare . Eminem can't give you the kind of bars Nas can. He ain't on that level. Eminem is a king in his own right. He is the king of putting words together and spitting a freestyle but don't ever say He and Nas is in the same category. That's Hip Hop Blasphemy. Real students of Hip Hop weigh the content in lyrics : the metaphors and similes, the clever word play and the punchlines. Eminem has barz but his songs don't do him justice. Not much of his songs have impressive lyrical content , they're average but people are blown away because of his ability to spit so quickly and put words together in such a way that it sounds dope. That's great but Nas is not only gifted with the ability to put words together and flow well but he is able to completely express himself in a way that not many artists are creatively capable to. Nas is a true poet , Eminem is not. That's why we hold Nas higher. There can be no comparison. Eminem is one of the greatest rappers but not the best lyricist. Big difference. People mix up a lyricists with someone who can spit. Spitting is wordplay and rhymes , Lyricism is based on being able to express oneself using words in such a way the other person can see and feel what you see .Rapping is respected but lyricism is worshipped. Few have the ability to rhyme flawlessly while blowing our minds with intellectual word play and creative and deep rhymes like Nas can. Tupac is not a good rapper in the sense that he is not the best word smith, he doesn't have the greatest flow and creative punch lines like an eminem or Nas but He has deep lyrical content. There were many greater rappers at the time of tupac but he could make you feel and see things vividly like a poet that is why He was looked at as a God and able to impact the culture so much. Nas is almost as influential as tupac but not in the same sense. He is influential because of his ability to tell a story and express himself in a way that will leave you speechless. Next is Biggie. Eminem is like biggie without the smooth and witty wordplay. Biggie can spit and he can express his words in such a way that leaves you like "Damnn". He wasn't as deep as Tupac or Nas but his flow, his wordplay and his storytelling ability is out of this world. Eminem can spit well but his lyrics are neither as deep and expressive as nas or tupac and his wordplay and storytelling ability is not as flawless as Nas and Biggie. I'll put Eminem above Jay Z , he's better than Jay Z all round in my opinion as a rapper but Hip Hop being from black culture and Jay-Z being a black man who came from the projects would be more appreciated and accepted and his lyrics will be more relatable to the black community because it relates to their culture more than Eminem. Jay-Z's impact , Nas's impact , Pac's impact and Biggie's impact on the culture which again has originated from black people coping with their struggle in America are far greater than Eminem's. Eminem is not worshipped in the black community and is not as influential on the culture. He is praised and he is respected but not worshipped like the rest of these guys I mentioned. All these things come into play when you want to talk about the greatest in the truest sense. But technically and lyrically I think he is better than Jay Z. (Jay-Z is trash and anyone who can tell me otherwise doesn't know real rap)

I don't think you can say nas is the GOAT at this point and time. While I love a few of his albums, and he's a great rapper, he isn't on top of the game (anymore). Illmatic is arguably the best rap album ever, but illmatic is 20 years in the past right now. I don't think there is a goat in the game right now. I love em, old jay z, etc, but I probably wouldn't put any of them as greatest. Also, not only white people think em's great. Some of the biggest people in the game (including nas, jay, game, and obviously dre and 50) have paid their respects to eminem as an artist.

Eminem and nas both come from different cultures and life styles so their stories are always going to be different. They are both world class story tellers and both are two legends of the game. So stop debating and just enjoy their music while their both still in the game
