So very very sad. I’m from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 and I lost my dear father to a drunk driver 33 years ago. I was 17 when he died. Myself and my 5 sisters lost a great family man. Sadly my youngest sister was only 4 yo & has no real memory of Dad. Please never ever drink and drive or take drugs & drive because it wrecks so many lives. This young lady is so strong & powerful. May her siblings rip.
Omg I lost my dad at 19. I was pregnant with his 1st grandchild. I have 6 siblings all boys I'm the only girl. My youngest brother ended up on heroin to numb the pain and died at 22. It was 33 yrs ago we lost dad. The pain is never ending. My mom has never recovered. Me either .
My heart literally breaks for your lovely family. No words will ever ease the pain and sense of loss all of you are experiencing. Nothing will ever be the same. You are so strong. My baby brother died in a car accident 10/9/2017 along with his teammate while they were on their way back to college. It was was rough, its still rough. I had to plan the funeral and I was the only sibling strong enough to speak at the funeral. You and your family are in my prayers
My family suffered a similar tragedy nearly 56 years ago. My uncle's family was hit head on by a drunk driver behind the wheel of a charter bus. It killed my aunt and three of my cousins. I was only three years old at the time and it is my oldest memory. Fortunately, my memory as a three year old does not reflect the tragedy that occurred. What a blessing you are to me today. I lost my dad on 2/2/22 from COVID complications. What a nightmare he was only 64 about to retire from a life of hard work he wasn't a sick man. Seeing him on life support then my brother and I having to make the choice of weather or not to remove it. My Dad raised my brother and I in church he was a single Dad. He taught us about God's love and showed us by being a loving Father. You have truly touched my heart God led me to first see your story when you told your Mother of your siblings death then the story of how a drunk driver changed your lives to this eulogy. You are an amazing person I don't expect any recognition for my comment. Just know that you're a beautiful person our loved ones will live on through us. God Bless

It's still hurts like it was yesterday but I know in my heart she's in a much better place just waiting on me as your siblings are waiting on all of you. Katie, I have watched many videos about your family and while your mom and father are truly amazing I must put you in that category as well because you beared the Brunt of all of this while it was happening and you comforted your brothers and sisters your mother and father and put together three funerals during Christmas and New Year's, a feat I'm sure many could have not been able to do but you have a great Inner Strength In You thanks to the Lord and your sweet mother and father, you learned from your greatest mother on how to be a great mother I'm sure deep in her heart she is so honored to have you as a daughter❤❤❤❤
Sweetheart, your eulogy is exceptional and I adore your Cajun accent. I could listen to you speak for hours. My heart breaks for you. I lost someone I loved very much in a car accident. He had been my husband and true love. He had just turned 24. I understand the shock, the grief, all the feelings that comes after a horrific loss. My dear sweet momma passed away from old age about the time of your loss, December 13, 2021. She was my best friend. I miss her but honestly, wouldn’t have her back in this evil selfish world we are living in. Remember, our loved ones have found peace and live on in us. This touches my heart. My best friend from high school wrote a poem. Somehow it touched many and is mentioned among mother's against drunk driving. It touches me because I have seen the pain.

I admire your strength, and even though I don’t know you personally,I feel you pain I also lost 2 siblings my brother at 21 to the hand of his so called best friend over a girl my sister at age 31 and even though I was the oldest she trued to be a mother figure… I miss both so much but me and my sister had a special bond that could never be replaced Then a year and a half later I lost my mom to cancer on June 4 and by December my dad had passed from grieving the loss of my mom … people would tell me for years it will get easier and finally I realize it doesn’t get easier we just learn how to continue life without our loved one we miss so much .. If ever you need a ear to listen a shoulder to cry on I am here ….Again my heart is so broken for you and your family and I will continue to pray for y’all…
Although hearing you talk is because you are sharing the saddest story you lived thru. I absolutely love your voice!! I cry everytime i hear it and see you and your family. But this was so beautiful. Knowing you had to go identify these 3 babies and how close you were is so horrible, but this eulogy this story of their lives is so beautifully done! Well done big sister!

ohhhh girl for someone who didn't want to you sure did do a beautifully detailed and gracious speech for your siblings. I cannot fathom what your family went through and continue to go through. I have to be very honest I am 40 today but in my youth I was lost, confused and didn't see a path for myself and I turned to drinking. There were to many times I got behind that wheel and drove or woke up in bed the next morning not remembering how I got home, but knew I drove. I got myself 2 DWI's and remember one of those times waking up in jail scared and confused. That was the last time I drove until about 5 years ago. And not because I wasn't allowed to but because waking up in jail and not knowing why, how or what I did to get there scared the crap out of me. What stuck out the most was thinking " what if I killed someone" there is no going back from that. And so after I was able to get my license back I did but just never drove again until I finally got myself sober 5 years ago. When I knew there was no way I would be impaired and getting behind the wheel ever again is when I finally trusted myself enough to give myself the privilege to drive again. Because I think that is something that many people forget... Driving is a privilege it is not any one of our rights and you do not have to drive at all. So unless you want to risk destroying your own life but most of all someone else's please do not drink and drive. Do whatever you need to, give your keys to someone, Uber or Lyft, have a friend drive something, anything - PLEASE.... Thank you for sharing some the hardest moments with us I really hope this reaches all that need to see it.. AICTWC which means (alone i cant together WE can) and something I stand by. There isn't much in this world worth doing if you gotta do it alone and there is always someone who will help you, be there for you, and you never have to go it alone...✌💜🙃🙏 #simmons3

I was hit last year and lost the most important man of my life. He was my soulmate, my everything. I had to watch him die. I also coded but was told i have to stay for the kids. 😢 im broken shattered and hopefully will see him again.

I’ve been following this story and I am beyond heartbroken for this family. I know loss I’ve lost my parents, brothers and my husband. I can’t imagine it all happening on one day. It takes years to heal but, your life never the same. May they Rest in Peace and my God surrounded this family with healing.

This just makes me heart sad for you all. This drunk driving has to stop. My God. My close friend was killed by an impaired driver when he passed out and ran his truck into her living room. It was devastating to her family. I was heartsick. Her momma eventually passed away 6 years after I believe from sorrow. Her body wore out and after the trial for the offender she gave up physically.
