Congrats Matt! Such a nice locomotive! I've always liked the PS2 version with the red top on the tender, as you said. The only thing is, we wish this one had a big smoke stack. - Ryan
Congratulations on your new Western Maryland Shay! I got into the hobby in 2017 and my layout is modeled after the Cass Scenic Railroad. I in the winter of 2018 I got an MTH PS2 Western Maryland Shay which was beautiful but was not meant to be as it fried right away out of the box. The dealer made it right and substituted a 2017 Lionel Legacy Shay for me. I enjoyed the Lionel Shay, but really missed the MTH one. Seeing this recent release, it is basically the same as the 2006 version, but with all of the great upgrades. I am going to try and see if I can unload my Lionel Legacy Shay and pick up the MTH WM Shay. Thank you for the video.
Nice looking shay, I got a w.v.p&p.shay a couple of yrs ago. Mine is a QS1 I think, but still has great detail. It's dangerous going to frequently to the Toy Exchange in Mt Airy as it has a way of thinning the wallet
I was disappointed to they went a little cheap on that and wanted more $ then the last shay model but its still a very nice model i do enjoy having it in the collection!
Very Nice. Waiting on my CASS 3 Truck Shay. This will give us 8 Shays. You need to get you some CASS Excursion Cars. My good buddy Jorge is making them and he is making the CASS Station also. Check him out at FLrailroaddog on his RU-vid Channel.
@Attictrains You're Welcome. He has the CASS Cars already done and the CASS Station should be done probably sometime next. He also done the Handicap Car which is neat.
STILL horrible sound! Come on-people recorded our Shays back in the ‘90s, and they still make it sound like a rod engine?! Unless one can adjust the chuff rate somehow, a waste of money.
