I used a greenback by live target and caught a snook. Just a suggestion when you review the lure at the end you should rate it 1-10 so we know how good of a recommendation it is. 💪🏻
I have a Live Target Mullet haven’t had any luck yet but this is crazy man you’re right next to the Wabasso bridge should DM me on Instagram and maybe we can go out one day or something. Love your videos man keep it up
Caught my 43” PB snook (see tiny profile pic, to the extent you can) on a LT pinfish. They look and swim like live bait, more so than any other artificial I’ve used. Definitely worth a try.
@@jslays9049 facts, I can get into spots bigger boats dream they could get into. And the boats so light I honestly feel like I’m flying in it. I recently got some sea dek type stuff I covered the boat in and am working on a casting deck.
Yes sir!! My favorite one is the livetarget sale sardine all of the colors. That's my go to lure. I have tge soft plastic sardine swim bait and it works to.
Justin, great video. What a mixed bag. I'd be curious to hear from you how much of this videos success is the lure and how much is really finding the right time and tide for fishing. Obviously you know when and where to fish. I wonder if you'd do a video explaining how you choose your times and places to fish...also I would like to hear what you think of as your top 5 inshore lures...the ones that are absolutely a "go to".
What’s your review/opinion on that osprey ss reel and your callusa rod combo? How would you rate it and how heavy it is for throwing lures in the 1-2 oz range for a whole day?
Never used the Croaker one. I’ve tried the mullet before, didn’t have much luck with it and ended up losing it. I do use the larger greenback Livetargets, they’re worth the money to me. Snook love them, sometimes it’s all I can get them to hit. When the water is really clear, it’s one of my favorites to throw.
You are in the right spot. I got a 35 inch snook of the end of the 3rd or 4th dock north of the bridge there last saturday. After that I hooked a big jack and he broke my rod. I didnt care though. it was a good day. great video. thanks.
Hey my dude keep up the content. It's sweeeeet. Little advice though if you want to lighten up your load on your gahnoee and get more battery life look at lithium batteries to run your trolling motor they're game changers.
I always watch lure reviews when I pick up a new lure, but thinking now the debate of a lure being good or not all depends on the fish in your area and all other conditions that matter when fishing, weather, time of day-year, and what bait is running in your area. One bait I catch ten snook on could possibly not catch anything on the other coast, or even across town.
@@justin_menendez Thank you, I actually ordered the rod a few days ago and it just came in today. Ill definitely be trying that. Love your videos, keep being awesome.
Try the Rapala Long Cast lure (single or treble hook?) I'd really like to see if that works good around the same price range as this lure you're using.
They have them at a local Ollie’s discount for $7. I bought one for striped bass and modified the croaker to look like a spot with the application of a sharpie dot behind both gill plates. We’ll see how it does.
@@justin_menendez okay cool i do some kayak fishing and the geenoe style fishing definitely interest me especially for going out of flamingo since I’m down in Miami, if your ever trying to do a bass vid lmk I have access to a levee since my grandpa built a cabin in the 60s in the big cypress and there are a lot of under pressured bass out there it can be amazing certain times.
Gill plates on a snook are nasty. They are notorious for cutting the line. Bought the baby mullet and thread fin. Can't wait to try them tomorrow... going 30lb florocarbon leader.
I use the live target mullet in both colors depending on the water quality as I also slap a treble on the bottom eyelet and it slays. Definitely gotta keep it on the surface and work it fast like a fleeing mullet
Another great video. Not a fan of Live Targets tail action. One of these videos you are going to fish my dock. You were pretty close early on in the video. Keep pressing Rec and 🎣🐟🐟🐟
It's funny seeing guys fish light tackle for snook. Where we fish it's 80lb fluorocarbon leader and 50-60lb braid on Accurate 500s paired with XH jigging rods. And we still get beat down by the occasional cubera, slob snook, or Goliath. I didn't believe you had to go that heavy til I started to fish with a friend of mine. That being said on Flairhawks I still throw 40-50 as they rarely choke the lure deep enough to fray you off.
It’s a totally different kind of snook fishing. This is back country fishing. Not jetty or pier snook fishing. 40lb is all you need. I catch 30-35” snook with my 3k no problem.
I really love that song you play when you caught that big snook you play it in other videos can you please tell me how to find that song I just love that beat. Please Please 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
@@justin_menendez It’s kind of awesome you blend it in stars at the 12 minute mark and then it really picks up at 13:48. That beat is so sick I thought I was hearing things!!!!!! I turned my stereo and realize you had it playing underneath the audio
academy has their brand in that lure.7$ for a 2 pk.it doesn't hurt as much when u lose one as opposed to 13$.i use them and the snook smoke the shit out of them
got one of these in a saltwater sub box long time ago and was excited to use it... Looked great !!! We have bluefish all over the place up here and first strike i got the dang thing was bitten in half... decided right there i would not be buying one of these for my self. great looking lure but the cost to benefit of having such a realistic lure not worth it to me.. sticking with a z man paddle tail on a jig head.
I haven't tried any of the other products but the live target shrimp was on of the worst shrimp lures I've ever tried and way over priced for what they are. Some local kids swear by that live target croaker in this video, I'm still not sold. I think you outfished the lure / are a better fisherman and therefore the lure looked better than what it is haha.
@@drc022800 I agree. He calls a 25 inch fish smaller, and a smaller fish for me is between 10-16”. My longest fish was 35” and he calls fish that size a little above average lol
@@noahjohns7954 fish size has a lot to do with what area you're fishing but 35 inch fish for inshore is a big ol fish no matter where you at though! Just keep fishin!
Most of the lures we use (and lose) for mulloway here are 20-50 dollars (15-40ish usd), so hearing you say a 13 dollar lure is expensive had me laughing hahaha
