Beautiful little sedan. I’ve always liked the Model A. My grandparents first car was a 29. There is something about motoring along in a simple machine that makes you think ahead. I have an old Land Rover . No power steering or power brakes. No syncros in 1st and 2nd. Hard to drive and I love it.

My first car (1983) was a 1930 Coupe. Still have it 40 years later. Unfortunately it’s a project at this point. Probably be a retirement project.

I think you drove by Snowshoe Thompsons cabin. Off the cliff of the hairpin turn at 5:50 is an old Cadillac at bottom and has been there for years.

Great video (the music is too loud though). I live a but east of Highway 4 in NV but try to get over that way often. Lots of amazing roads to check out in the Sierra's. When I was 16 in 1972 my dad bought a restored '31 Vicky and we would drive all over the back country roads of New England. I loved that car and hoped my dad would give it to me one day but he sold it after only a couple years. I think he figured I'd build a hot rod out of it and he was correct. 😆 I did eventually get another Model A, a '29 Tudor and did make a hot rod out of it (it was actually already a hot rod but poorly done so I completely rebuilt it) and had a blast with that car. I now have a '34 three window that is also a hot rod but lately I've been wanting to get a stock Model A. They've gone up in price a bit but are still pretty reasonable. You can still find a decent coupe or Tudor for $10K or a bit under. There is just something about exploring these beautiful areas at a slower pace and soaking in the sites, smells, and sounds instead of roaring by them. I think I'd convert to juice brakes though and maybe soup up the banger just a little. Hard to take the hot rodder out of me completely. 😅

Thank you for the feedback, appreciate any critiques. I agree with you about enjoying more at a slower pace. We enjoy live in the slow lane, you see more at 45 mph. Encourage you to get that stock Model A, but leave the hot rod ideas on the shelf! Thank for coming alone for the ride.

One of our favorite camping weekends is to drive Hwy 108 east out of Sonora up to the summit of the Sierras. There you will find a huge bare area next to the road. There we sleep in the camper & next morning contnue east thru Sonore Pass and connect to Hwy4 where we find somehere to camp. We LOVE highland lakes. Sunday we cross Ebbetts pass & return home. !

@@modelajim1930 I've always loved the Model A but never owned one. I spent years in the radio and television industry, and the best practice is to make your dialog louder than the music. The viewer will set the volume to the dialog and never have to dive for the volume control for the rest of the video. Otherwise, the video and content are very enjoyable!
