I respect tone for being real when it comes to north and south politics. As a business man and to unite we should work together as brown ppl instead of putting each other down. It’ll open doors and will only make our ppl stronger. I would love to see north and south come together.
Even if it’s not about north and south. Mexicans don’t mess with each other. Money separates us. We should and can be the biggest gang in this world. But we can’t get alone with each other. It’s not easy. There are Mexicans that think they are better then other Mexicans. Stupid, but it’s thru.
That water bottle next to all that equipment sheesh 🙄 camera views visible lol 😝 NE MAFi they homies from Missouri or New Mexico 🇲🇽 Future in views Awax Yakima La Raza 🇲🇽🫡💨💯
1904 much love to all my people out in the 619 always show love SouthEast & SouthSide & EastSide & NorthCounty.... I stay at El Cajon now born & raised Watsonville 🇵🇭
If you listen to his music you know he’s intelligent. Him being well spoken but you can’t put out as much timeless music for as long as he has and not be intelligent!
Man, this was a good one. I don't know Lazy Boy personally, but I definitely like the way he carries himself. Respect Homie keep doing your thang. Glad to see the Homies Tone N Wax back to work. Keep'em coming.
Honestly....I love watching Big Tone & A-wax on a podcast. The dynamic, the chemistry it just fits. Another thing (& its prolly because they're older) they have a warm energy to them, especially A-Wax. To me it's beautiful, & their outlook, opinions & perspective are valued, at least to me. Keep it up I'm a fan.
I will be on here one day. I’ve been listening to wax since I was 13 I’m 25 now he’s been my biggest inspiration and role model without ever meeting the homie. I won’t stop until my clothing brand is recognized and I get the chance to collaborate with these boys.
Spreading a strong and positive message through your music and on your podcast is very important. I wish you all the best. I grew up on Northern Exposure, Woodie, Big Tone, A- Wax, G.U.N, etc. and I gotta say it had a big influence. And Lucky, your music is bumping. I slap that blue bird song in my ride. I like some of the new music you put out. I just hope you can find a way to keep the flame lit and spread a positive message for Chicanos, black and brown communities through your music. You're a voice in the community. So I wish you the best and my best advice is to keep conducting yourself in a professional manner homeboy. I send mines 💯
My first time watching this pod cast.. been waiting on tone to get something like this together s/o wax and lazy love from Villas Tacos from the 926 always good to hear from some respectable genuine individuals
And Big Tone is the big brother to all. He’s respected but he’s respectful. Salute to him for him giving this platform. I can listen to these two regardless what they speaking on. Time to go check out Lazy Boy’s music!
This was a dope interview. You can tell Lazy startin to feel more comfortable with these interviews. I know the atmosphere helps to tho. Good interview fellas 💯
Respectfully, many up North Chicano rappers complain that many tell them they act black. I'm glad y'all touched on it. However, the reality is that it is true. Just because we can collaborate up North and be cool doesn't mean we inherently share the culture. It's great that they share it with you guys, but it's not yours. Additionally, the result of having that mentality has caused many (not all) to look at Mexican Paisas different than them. Many also hating on dominant Spanish speakers, labeling them the opposition at times, just for being different. I see many up North Chicanos want to rep being Mexican but never truly wanting to engage in Mexican culture and history, not to be mistaken with Mexican American or Chicano, those are different experiences. All to say, I hope people with platforms like you two keep touching this conversation but hopefully the conversation keeps getting more honest and transparent, rather than talking points on the defense. Respect.
The problem with your point is that youre saying they act black because the south has been so segregated and the Mexican culture, which is really alot of spaniard culture as is just as white as chicanos speaking English, but because race wasnt such a problem up north and English was the universal language used by every culture to communicate, nortenos have ADDED to the hip hop culture since the 90’s theyve been relevant musically and style wise. The black influence is recent, northern rap music has been unique in its own genre for almost 40 years. You guys are discrediting your own people saying its a black thing. Yes nortenos have gotten some game from blacks but it goes both ways. In reality yall put restraints on yourselves for so long and held onto the mexican culture instead of assimilating into american culture like were supposed too, that you feel the need disrespect your own people that did So they can have something in common with all the other races here, because news flash, its not all about us. Yall complain about the n word being used by northerners but its only one word. Theres literally a whole sentence of substance before and after yall cant pay attention too cuz you heard the n word and you’re offended. Things LA is finally starting to do with other races were done up north the last 30 years. Yall really the ones acting black these days when yall cant hide your racism. The fact that you feel the need to point it out on a video that has no black people and the n word wasnt said enough for me to remember, shows that you have some deep down problem with blacks that you need to let go of.
@@xX1ruthless4Xx I see your point. Let me clarify though, I'm a Mexican from up North. I have seen first hand the evolution of northern rap. My problem isn't with the way they act or that they use the N word. It's with the disregard for our shared Mexican culture and people. Yes, many act black and yes, you are correct in your point of assimilating to American culture. However, that not exactly what I'm touching on. People get influenced by other cultures all the time, that's no problem at least not to me. What is a problem is when you start to forget or even unfairly stereotype type your own people because they don't act the way you do. Personally, Ive seen way to many gente who don't act like them be treated unfairly or unjust because they speak more Spanish or they bump banda music. It's all good to show homage to other culturas but don't hate on our own, that goes for any who assimilates to any other cultures.
Southern California moves differently as does Northern California, here we have towns and neighborhoods that are predominantly Mexican American, we are the majority so when I do go visit family up north it used to be a culture shock and vise versa, no disrespect man I got love for raza up there I do understand that it’s a different culture, and kind of in the same boat, when black or white folks grow up in a Mexican neighborhood down here, they speak and act like us, there is an older black man that that loves near me who don’t use the N word but he’s married to a Mexican woman and he talks and acts like we do, even creases his clothes like he did in the 90s
It’s wild how A-WAX hasn’t got the HUGE recognition he deserves. I’ve became a fan recently and the man has been consistent for yeaaaars. Real recognize real. Imma get a COLLAB wit homie ASAP
I felt what big Tone said about our older generation not understanding this younger generation and vice versa but regardless we can’t hate on the new generation salute to the young cats getting money 💯
We need lil los on here just to talk about the old days with woodie and how he brought him into the rap game and stuff, understanding he just a family man now and doing his own thang and staying out the light , but it’ll be cool to hear from that guy!. Keep these interviews up!.
I watched the interview and I wanna tell y’all I’m in Oklahoma from Oklahoma City and I bump all three of y’all regularly and I found all y’all thru waxfase!

@@Sorrybuddy93 nah little homie I know you're a joke. I'm from Southern California! Ain't no north and south beef down here, only upstate or prison but even that's changed. You don't have the history, generation after generation of family members and homeboys going through the struggle. Colorado hoods are still new compared to California
Big Tone solid saludos raza from SoCal. A lot of these youngsters never been or lived long enough to know the game. Easy to go to war but not many of you are willing to partake or have family members lost. Business is the way to go to elevate as a whole bc once your out of the streets it doesn’t matter what they say as long as you ain’t no weirdo or a sapo 🐸
Nah he’s regional on,y he knows is northern music that’s mainstream. Lazy needs to grow up and grow out of this dumb mentality of I only listen to northern music
I been bumping northern rap since I was a kid man I’m 32 now. And I’m from Southern California. It’s never been hate in my end. I’m from way down here what the fuck I look like beefing with a norteño when I never even had problems with one out here. 🚀
