Hiii ina..God bless u, my story is little confusing, and now I m going in depression. My son was not speaking til he was 2 years old, when we visited his pediatrician for regular checkup and just asked about speech, Dr just give paracitum and refred a tharepist, we visited to that therepist, she told for tharapy but not did proper assessment, at that time my son was speaking mumma, papa, uncle and some first of words, like Pani ka pa, bottle ko bi etc, his response to name was oky as 6 in 10 times, his eye contact was also good that time, we did tharapy for 10 days then my in-laws come and told my son don't have any issues he is just late talker, he masterd in cycle with balancer at age 2, we were giving him paracitum and he was started single word at age 2.5, then I was expected my second child and shifted at home town, where my child was fully involved with plying mud, rain, sand, cycling, he started more talk and combined 2 words, but his understanding was not up to his age, he had repitative behaviour so much, but still he had good eye contact, good social empathy, even he not talked so much till 4 but he enjoyed friend company, but he did not know how to play with him, but always want to be with him, after his 4 year age i came back with my husband place and took admission in school where he love to play and learn, he performed dance on stage, but some behaviour issues in school, but very active, always moving from here or there but speech was still not full sentences,understanding was little less according to his age, when he was 5 we visited neurologist he said no issue right now his eye contact is good, recommend some medicine for his behaviour issues and say come after 1 month of then we think whether have to assement or not, but we did not give my son that medicine, i introduced Bramhi juice, and his speech improved, but his activeness decrease and still he had repitative behaviour, but last 2 year during lock down his speech was almost fully developed, now he asked questions, why, where etc he reply questions, he enjoying to eat in resturant, go to mall and shopping, but during lock down his soclization is decreasing day bye day, now is not interested to talk or play with pearees, after lock down now he don't want to go school, very dull or lathrzy, but still his eye contact is good, but now his repitative behaviour is extremely increase, i don't understand why is happening with him, he don't want to eat, he is not happy in any manner, but when ever he is in happy mood he play with his younger sister very well, pretend play, Lego etc, we go park he slide, swing but his own, when any other kids want to play with him he enjoy company but don't know how to play he just started laughing, but no problem with eye contact with that kid, he is not interested to say hi, hello to any one but when we insist him to say hi to anyone he said that with good eye contact, but we r very much worried about his extreme repitative behaviour, and his unwillingness about his school, plz suggest what should we do, even i don't know he has autism or not

Hi Ina not sure about the medicine wala but sometimes I feel that few DP and therapist do not tell the exact situation of kid to make money... recently i went one DP for assessment i was kept on telling her she started speaking but thoda hyperactive hai but somehow she didn't want to believe and for my suprise she even didn't speak to my daughter to evaluate her so i only spoken to her to make her believe she has started speaking..also my daughter will be 4 in Sep. So she could have interacted with her but she was only speaking to me and didn't do any evaluation with my daughter..i was trying very hard that she sees my daughter so i only started giving cammand and speaking with my daughter in her clinic so that I can get a proper picture about her current condition but it felt like the DP was telling me something which is not there..and finally she told me for OT and whn i enquir about the charges it was quite high..i felt that she wanted me to do therapies that is why she was not believing what I said..after that i showed her some videos of my daughter and told her I want her actual situation thn she told ha we can not say autism but u have to take OT to reduce hyperactivity..i want to ask more that how much hyperactivity considered as normal and at what stage we require oT..but coz of her attitude i didn't even after given good amount as consultation fee

Hi Ina… see medicines is all dependent on how the parents are comfortable to give… i was giving homeopathic medication for almost 3 yrs… saw considerable health improvements in my son…. Now i have started with axcepta and risdone as he is growing with a lockdown effect aggression levels increase… Autism is not a disease but these medicines help the child (depends child to child) to learn and help them … Medicines didn’t have any effect on my older one… so had tapered and stopped them. The dev ped & ped neuro who suggested for my younger one…i had a good discussion told meds along side therapies and physical play then only help…. Ruling out completely doesn’t help…

I would suggest all parents to get their child evaluated by a trusted paediatric neurologist for any medication .And all the parents should just share their experiences rather than prescribe or not recommend any form of treatment.
