I don't think most people would want to play themselves as such a dick. Some can be good sports about that kinda thing, sure, but I'd think most wouldn't want people to think they're jerks. Not everyone is Randy Travis.
“If I hit him back, it’s a fight. Right now, it’s assault.” Hank’s line was an important life lesson I learned. I actually used it later in life. When I worked retail, I citizens-arrested a frequent trespasser who punched me in the face.
@squirreltactics you cut the most important lesson of the episode... but leave in the "cowboys didn't actually play them that year" segment? Seriously?
@@I_am_a_cat_ Okay, so here's the deal, I have to cut things according to copyright, meaning clips of the show. The more segments I have like the one you mentioned, the more clips of the show I can use. Had I cut that segment, I would have had to cut out more clips of the show.
@@RaptorofRex07 don’t know why they went ahead with that? Considering they could’ve just made her out as somebody that literally wandered away from the nursing home would’ve made much sense. Instead of just having some lady about to die in the same house that’s fucked up beyond belief. I mean what I found. Absolutely irritating was the fact that Hank along with his wife and son tried to tell everybody what her real intentions were yet they just shrugged it off like they were being cruel.
Oh sp true lol apthough maybe if he had forgotten his defenses via his Dementia... matter of fact *I* forget.. so refresh meh memory.. who knows how long he has had it or where he caught it... @@daltonfarris
@@alexandru5369 It did seem like they were almost trolling us with that…like come on we never heard anything about his life and you come up with that as his job?! How did he never bring up his job let alone the guys not asking him about his adventures. You’re right you can’t treat it as canon because it makes the plot to many episodes make no sense
I was under the impression that Willy was trying to get the ring *off* but couldn't because of his fat fingers. Kind of a 'no, I don't have that ring, officer, they stole it' kinda play.
I've had this experience but with a truck. It was a 2021 Tacoma TRD 4x4 with a real manual transmission. I got to drive one that was at a dealership and the thing just felt like a generic grocery getter like something a male Karen in their 50's would drive. It was slow and felt like it couldn't get out of its own weight.
I needed this today. My dog had suddenly gotten sick on Saturday, so Mom took her to the ER on Sunday while I was at work. They told her that her kidneys were failing, and it was probably cancer. We took her home, medicated her to keep her comfortable. She passed away in her bed later that night. It was so sudden. I've been grieving a lot and for the first time in 29 years, we have no pets in the house. We're gonna wait till the end of summer till we get another dog. I was also having a bad day at work today, so thank you, Squirrel Tactics, for another video.
I'm so sorry. Hopefully you have a lot of really great memories with her. I wish there was something I could say to help, but please know I understand your pain 😢
☺️Thank you for your words of kindness. I feel lost and confused not having a pet here with me. I may be slow at times, but I realized that grief of a loved one, be it human or animal, does not go away; it's not something you ever get over. Sure, grieving may get easier after a while, but it will always be there. Time does not heal all wounds, especially during traumatic experiences. The sudden death of an animal may not seem traumatic for most, but for those of us with social disabilities, it's especially difficult. Everyone grieves differently; some cannot talk about loss without breaking into tears every time. I slept on a cushion next to my dog that night and read to her before going to bed at 8:55 pm. I woke up just after 10 pm to find that she was gone. I've been sleeping on the floor and reading out since. Normally, I read before bed to help me sleep better, but reading aloud brought some comfort for me and my dog. As I said before, it will be a few months before we're ready to open our home, and our hearts, to another rescue dog.
If I were a cop here in Texas, Willie wouldn't be able to use his charisma on me since I've never cared for football. I'm more of a Texas history enthusiast than a Texas football enthusiast.
I suspect they'd find some "totally legitimate" reason to remove you from the force when it's secretly because they're upset you don't like football. Like how the Booster Club undermined Peggy when she tried to teach David Kalaiki-Ali'i.
Would just like to point out that Willie wasn't just 'fidgeting' with his ring, he was attempting to remove it. He mentioned to the officer that the last time it was off was '500 beers ago.' If he were actually able to get it off, then there's at least a layer of plausible deniability on his end with him able to claim he wasn't wearing it.
@@BM-wh5qk Or Buck hires him as a propane sales man and he becomes one of those new guys that think they know more than and just causes too many problems until Buck finally steps his foot down.
There's an ESPN 30 for 30 special that actually covers Willie Lane types. They become multi millionaires who play a few seasons of nationals then end up broke because they didn't get any financial planning. I don't know if they all go on to terrorize their neighborhood but they do end up as washed up as him.
@@grimtea1715 That's a good one. Fun fact: Goodfellas technically has a sequel that's about Henry Hill's time in witness protection called My Blue Heaven, and it came out right before Goodfellas.
I don't care at all about sports, especially American sports, but I love hearing someone talk so much about various players and their histories! It's quite fascinating.
Nowadays? It's been going on since the show started. If they didn't say anything about it in their final seasons then my assumption is like alot of Texans they just accept the failure and like willie lane cling on to the glory days. I always like to make this joke that they'll sooner find the one piece before the cowboys win another super bowl
@@pheunithpsychic-watertype9881 I call it The King Of The Hill curse because ever since King Of The Hill premiered in 1997, the cowboys haven't made the NFC Championship since the show premiered.
Why did it take me 36 years on this planet to realize that Guinness beer and world records are the same company?! I would have just guessed they were different companies that used the same name, if i ever gave it a first or second thought. Which I did not.
Another surprising to some people one, Michelin of the Michelin star restaurant guide and Michelin of Michelin tires are the same Michelin. Was started as a way to increase demand for travel by car, and therefore car tires, when there were only a couple thousand cars in all of France, their home country
If only former Dallas Cowboy Golden Richards had moved to Arlen instead of Willie Lane, Hank could have just gotten Gilbert to sort him out. Gilbert knew him... briefly...
OK, squirrel at some point. You gotta talk about just how tough Hank really is. - He kicked in a race track safety fence with one kick -Ate a punch from a man twice his weight class - held his grip long enough to survive a (I believe it was a category 4) tornado passing through -Held his breath long enough to swim under a boat and remove its spark plug immediately after being struck (by an air tank believe) - Yeah, he played football in high school, but that's not enough to account for some of the things he's done in show
There is a RU-vid channel where he power scales the rainy street 3 with hilarious commentary and all demonstrating all the incredible acts of power each character displays
Let alone when he does get physically hurt, he only grunts or makes his signature bwah(well it's more like questionable, than conclusive when it comes to the psychology of people that developed/have a high pain tolerance/threshold)
Big Willie Lane reminds of a few High School football player whose only claim to fame is High School Football. One in particular. This guy was a Blocker at 240lbs. But a bully too. Today he is about 100 plus pounds overweight, needs a motorized wheelchair and in debt for years of unpaid child support.
I think when Willie was fiddling with his ring, he was trying to remove it. He planned to play it off like he wasn't wearing it, but thanks to always having the ring on, it was more or less stuck on his finger.
When I first watched the episode the first time and after watching it a few times like all other episodes of King of the Hill. I literally came to the conclusion that his figure is so fat. It’s impossible to take the ring off.🤣🤣🤣
I worked at Walmart in 2015 And there was a few months when Bluebell ice cream was not on the shelf in the freezer section. The people in Texas got furious.
Khan can fight and he's pretty fast, but speed doesn't matter If you can't damage your opponent, would have loved to see Hank take a crack at him though.
22:34 - Even though I know that this scene came first and was the source of your name, after watching so many of your videos, this now just feels like the writers giving your channel a shout-out. Like some sort of time traveled Easter egg. I love it!
Tbh this is like one of my favorite khan moments because he’s human nice and really a victim and trying to use the rules and the correct way and was right to be angry
this episode did a good job of showing who willy was early on, but masking it behind hank's unquestioning love of the cowboys. i don't blame him. if a middling bengals player who had one huge game winning play moved in to my neighborhood, i'd definitely mark out about it.
I've always hated bullies both in real life & in the animation, especially that 1 episode where those jerk surfers force Bobby 2 ride that water slide at the Waterpark in that 1 episode. I actually fight back against bullies in my school days.
16:50- 17:11 But you got to admit. The part where Bobby punches Joesph in the nose and says “NOW WHO’S YOUR DADDY!?!? BIG WILLIE LANE!!!!!” Was funny as hell.
I'm a little disappointed that you left out Khan Jr. taking the block charter to school and getting an A on her report on hypocrisy. That always got me.
Besides injuries to the body, brain injuries are extremely common for football players. Helmets protect your skull from outside impact, but theres no way to protect your brain from sloshing around when you're tackled. A shift in personality and becoming more violent/aggressive is very typical for football players and I'm sure willy lane is no different
I had to set up tiers on there and the first thing that popped in my head was Like It, Love It, and Don't Come Any Closer, I'm Insane For Propane but the last one was too long so I had to shorten it.
Block Charters are often part of a deed restriction for certain neighborhoods. They’re set up as a way for communities to self regulate without having to go to court or to the police. They’re not supposed to levy fines such as Hank did on Peggy’s poker night, that’s more of an HOA. Block Charter rules are universally agreed upon by all residents and the Block Captain doesn’t have the authority to fine anyone, he just makes sure the rules are being followed and handles disputes between neighbors regarding rule breaking. Willie hitting Hank and Hank having proof via the photograph of the Super Bowl Ring indentation was solved through the Block Charter rules. Willie technically didn’t have to leave, but the only other solution would be for Hank to show the photograph to the police as proof of assault, or even sue Willie in court. Willie didn’t want that, so the only other solution was for him to move off the block in two weeks, though he could still own the house and sell or rent it out, but he wouldn’t be allowed to live in it anymore. He most likely sold it, then Jim and Lila with their bratty son Caleb moved in (I suggest you do a video on him if you haven’t already).
I remember falling asleep and dreaming about the ending of the series and what the final episode could be, and the episode included a big brawl in the alley with Big Willie Lame. XD
~22:50 I always interpreted him messing with his ring there as trying to get it off. Like, if he's able to slip it off he could probably say one of the guys stole the ring to frame him or something, then claim he got it back. But you know, "last time that ring was off was 500 beers ago"
finally you uploaded this episode ive waited my whole life for, now for other thing and come back to this channel once you review the one were they take down a house or one of the other xmas episodes
Bro, I LOVE the football stats you give in this episode. You really combed through the inaccuracies while spitting some really specific facts. 😂 And concerning Willie's 'dream', it's one thing for him to feel bad about not playing but holy crap, there were never 'good days' with him because he always came off as a jerk even before he retired. The things he does are straight up wild and I don't doubt he did the same things while he played and got away with it.
The guys wearing suits and bill in his military uniform just to watch a football game while willies dressed like, that, is so awkward it becomes hilarious.
Already love both of your channels, love ‘em even more now that I know you’re also a fan of “The Monster Squad”! That wolfman’s got ‘nards I tell you what.
