Hi All and thanks a bunch for watching todays video camping at the BIG4 Sandstone Point Caravan Park. If you want to check out other Camping video, please check out the Camping Playlist here: ru-vid.com/group/PLtDsuclgH9388ZqDwNJTx6penNKpMLBfE With another camping addition coming soon :) Thanks for your support and don't forget to subscribe
Definitely not your typical video, but fun to watch nonetheless! This place would have been heaven as a kid, and quite fun as an adult too. I'd be goin down the slides and standing under the bucket too. Can't let the kids have ALL the fun!
Your right about that, but like to change things up and do something a little different every now and then. I've stayed here a few times and only just managed to film a video...LOL. Damn straight, why let the kids have all the fun. Us big kids like to play around too haha. Just have to squeeze in through all the kids...LOL. It's definitely a more luxury park, especially compared to my next video...stay tuned for one more camping video, but in the bush
@@AquariusTraveller agreed on needing to switch things up every one in a while. I suppose even camping and hiking could get hold if you did it every day. Looking forward to the next one!
Those safari tents do look pretty cool. Glamping is becoming very popular here in Australia but very expensive...I think those tents go for AUD300 a night. Would have to be around 200 to 250 for you.
Fyi...I staying in a safari tent in a zoo once. They were set across from the African safari enclosure and we woke up with a heaps of giraffes outside our tent....obviously behind a fence. They were 400 per person per night so really expensive...but worth it for the experience and speciality tours going through the park
@@AquariusTraveller yeah, glamping around here is $250+ per night! Even into the $1000’s if you can believe it! There’s a zoo in San Diego that does overnight stays as well. Hoping to do it one of these days.
Looks like a pretty cool resort. I was digging the pedal bikes. I've no issue with tenting, but the fixed accommodations looked like a fantastic option if the weather was poor. Great work showcasing the Resort!
@@AquariusTraveller Haha! Seems awesome because there’s a bit of something for everyone. And by “everyone”, I mean things to keep the kids busy on their own. 😉 The pricing for the tenting spot didn’t seem too bad, but they are really maximizing the space for $$$, not experience. A little too close for my liking. I prefer some bushes and trees between sites. 🤷🏻
@@nategordon your right...something for everyone. And for the facilities you get the price doesn't seem too bad. And yes having bush between you is better. Pretext was wrong above... swagging it in a bush location next video so enough trees...lol. I'm in a national park
Nice stuff Chris. How good are those sun tanning lounge chairs! 👌 A great spot if you have young kids I guess, my penchant for being remote would have me somewhat overwhelmed there 🤣 Very informative and helpful for those who enjoy that kind of holiday and those camp kitchens are impressive. Great share 🙏
Yeah your right...it's a busy spot and must admit...not really the cheapest. More of a luxury style camping spot and somewhere a family would go to keep the kids entertained. We love the pool and having friends close for a catchup weekend away. Been there a few times and funny that my last time was in a cyclone weekend when almost 3 quarters of the park emptied and we had it to ourselves...lol
I'm glad it helped you but consider they have made some changes since I did this video too. I was there on the very first weekend they opened and been there about 6 times since. Oversll i love the park but getting too expensive to visit, so try and book on a deal. 👍👍
@@AquariusTraveller nice, it’s cool and new, I agree about the prices, but people are paying it I guess. Perhaps they will be in their honeymoon period for a while yet. Not many new kid friend places around these days. Certainly investing big coin and achieving the positive reviews. I can’t justify that much for staying around Bribie which has relatively limited activity’s in a 15 min radius
@@ibsn87 it opened in 2018 but seen some big changes since then. Plus the facilities still look pretty new considering. There is even a swim up bali bar too...and I haven't seen that myself yet. You right, it has lots of activities for the kids and keeps them entertained. The friends I travel with have kids and they always have a blast there. I guess thats the Compensation between paying for other accommodation and activities, or just stay here 👍
