It's the other way around for me. 2 of my little brothers really love Bigbang (GD & TOP fanboys) and they roped me into the fandom. 9 years later still a VIP 😌
My husband who has never touched Kpop in his life got into BIGBANG before I did in 2020 and then he took me with him shortly after. He mostly listens to 90’s early 2000’s rap and hip hop / R&B and was floored by GTOP and YB
I think it's because BB's concept or image doesn't have this seductiveness to them. They just have the cool vibes. So men can easily fawn over them. Completely different to how the rest of the male groups are marketed. BB is like no other. I'll forever be a VIP, through highs and lows.
@@teresanike7181 Bruh, I've been a VIP since 2011 and has been a fan since 2007. I know they are sexy but they are the type of group that attracts male audiences for how cool they are. If I were a guy, it wouldn't feel awkward to like them. They don't have the "flower boy" feel to them.
Even among my male non-kpop fan friends, they usually choose bigbang when I ask them to choose a boygroup. They said its because of their stage presence and natural swag/talent. Plus they don't "feel" gay lol.
This is accurate tbh.. all the guys i know who are into kpop somehow end up having bigbang as their faves.. at some point in our lives all of us fanboys have had our phone wallpaper something related to bigbang or gdragon. At some point in our lives we have sang Taeyang's songs while thinking of childhood crushes.. at some point in our lives our broke asses have sang crooked and dreamt of buying peaceminusone merch. At some point in our lives we have played BIGBANG's ballads and pretended to be the sad emo guy who is heartbroken all the time.. And well at some point in our lives we have tried to imitate bigbang's style coz it looks fking cool.. idk how this happens but there is something special about bigbang that makes guys like them a lot..
I've spent half of my life as a VIP and despite being a fan of other groups over the years, none have ever come close to my feelings for BIGBANG. It's been 14 years and I never once regretted being their fan. It gives me pride to see so many fanboys and how our fandom truly takes after our artists in every aspect. Many of us are adults now, but even so we'll wait for BIGBANG forever. I'm a working adult now but whenever BIGBANG releases something, they can bet that I'll be there along with the rest of VIP. No matter how much time passes, I'll be a VIP and pray for their happiness in life until the day I leave this Earth. They've given me so much growing up and I don't mind giving them a promise of forever.
I had never heard of BigBang or any of the guys in it until a few months ago and now I'm absolutely addicted! I am a 61 year old Canadian woman. I think their music, energy and awesome stage presence just speak to all people regardless of age, gender or nationality. I listen to them all the time now and even though I can't understand most of what they're saying their music still speaks to me. Love them!! And this little video had me smiling the whole way through! I can't wait to see what/if they have more in store for us in future *fingers crossed*!!

Even i don't like k pop industry,I love all of bigbang members.They created their song perfectly by very nice performance,plot,deep lyrics,rap and vocal.They are the only one k-pop boy group i'll support forever.
u don't know how big of a deal if a kpop group had the biggest male fandom, most kpop fans are female and men doesnt really follow kpop stuff that much. Only real Men appreciate good music and vibe.

It probably has something to do with Bigbang's image.Let's be honest they looked so different from other boygroups of their era. Boygroups had to have that "flower boy" image. Before boygroups targeted teenage girls ,their songs, look, fashion and everything was up to young girls taste. In our country boygroups were somewhat "gay" and very 90s thing. Then Bigbang became popular. Every guy tried to look like Taeyoung and they proudly admitted to liking Bigbang or this foreign korean boygroup. It wasn't seen as shameful or cringe because Bigbang's image was manly and cool instead of pretty flower boys. Till now Bigbang was the only kpop that guys listened to in our country. Current 3th and 4th gen boygroups are totally unknown among guys.
Great video. I have two older sister that really love BIGBANG. Now both of them already married and had kids. But the funny thing is, they still up to date news about bigbang. I'm not a vip but these guys music are dope. I listened to their song when i was like 10 years old that is "LIES" because my sisters always repeated that song when doing chores at home. Discovered their song in 2008 when RU-vid was barely a baby. It was a blue white letter Microsoft moviemaker video… Back then there was no way to save the video put open Microsoft word and copy and paste a url. I was heartbroken when it didn’t save the song “lies” it was the first song I ever heard of them and it was in Korean writing so I couldn’t find it easily. Soo much change has happened since then. Thousands of dollars spent on Big Bang since then and I wouldn’t ask for a single penny back. They became the reason I became happy again after being forced to drop out of my dream school when the recession hit the United States. Since then I’ve been a fan and will be one until whenever

Because guys can relate to their songs. Other top idol groups are more famous for their visuals and choreos instead of the songs. Same reason why BIGBANG sells more digital than physical album.

Because it's cool to like them. They don't rely on the pretty cute boys look and super choreographed dance that kpop was heading after 2014 (SJ, EXO, etc) theyre just cool dudes doing cool things.
and mature fans who like them for their music and talents, not for their popularity, like how it is for the majority of "fans" of the later generations nowadays. sadly kpop has become a trend that young and lonely losers follow just for some attention and only care for the idols popularity, but are the same ones who are attacking them the moment a hate train starts.

I became a V.I.P when I was in high school and now I'm already working. I never got a chance to watch the whole group perform live at a concert... it's my dream but I think that won't happen anymore 🥺🥺 I hope they comeback again and have concert as a complete group

I sure do miss Big Bang. I was able to take my daughter and my sister to their World Tour in 2015 and I can definitely say that they r truly the king of pop. Even I didn't want the night to end at all. They give such an amazing show and the fact that they actually do a lot of interacting with their fans during the concert is great!!!! They are such great entertainers and always give the best performance. No one can top them on that for sure. Will always be a fan.

It’s actually true… I remember attending BIGBANG’s 0to10 concert in seoul knowing lots of VIP fangirls who are enjoying but then again I was really suprised of the numbers of VIP fanboys/men who were enjoying the concert as well.

I listened haru-haru from my boy friends (literally friends who are boy 😁) at 2011. They sang it at karaoke. After alive album released, I introduced bigbang to my boyfriend (now my husband). He said that time "oh, i thought every kpop idol was not that manly" while watching love song MV. In the end, my husband was really in to bigbang. He even likes doom dada 😆 Time flies. Now, I introduced kpop to my 8 yo son. I introduced several band to him. But he prefer bigbang. He likes sober and fantastic baby 😅 -note : both my husband and son like RedHotChilliPeper for band. Daesung had several solo tour and even DOME tour in Japan. His stage presence is amazing and you should see his interaction with Japanese vips on his tour it is so funny. 😂
