Just purchased 2 of the Bigfoot Gun Belts. One for me and one for my grandson. We got the western style 18 gauge with steel insert and absolutely love them. I am making my video on them now. Great video and you hit every point very well .
I've been using my Bigfoot 18oz steel core belt for about two years now with a full size gun, double mag pouch and knife sheath. My belt still won't sag or bow even if I add my backup gun with mags to it. For the money, can't be beat. My wife's 14oz steel core is holding up just as well with solid steel revolvers.
Have used my Bigfoot for two years now. Does not scream "tactical". Looks great. Holds holster very solid. Does set off metal detectors. Worth every penny. Best belt of any nature I have owned.
I saw many RU-vid Kore belt reviews including your comments and they convinced me this could be THE belt to hold up more than my trousers. I opted for the tactical reinforced belt model as my EDC (gun/spare mag/flashlight) belt. Lots of weight and I didn't want things falling down as with other brands/material. The Kore tactical model is a very stiff ridged belt. The hook/loop belt loop provided is needed to capture the end of belt otherwise it sticks out. I found that OWB and paddle holsters affect the amount of belt needed differently. An IWB holsters probably even more length would be needed. If you are a first time buyer of any Kore products be sure to use the discount code. If you don't have it contact Kore product support. Unless you are in desperate need use the lowest cost shipping and save $$$. I ordered mine on Monday afternoon and was delivered in TX by Friday noon. Thumbs up again.
Just got the Big Foot with steel. Works great for me, too. The gun and extra mag get nuzzled against my body for a controllable rig. One bonus: It is easier to pull when seated on this type of platform.
Good review. Simple and to the point. No babbling on and on like some on RU-vid. I have been considering a Bigfoot belt and now I am definitely going to order one.
You should check out Hanks Belts, their made to last 100 years. Thick leather and very tough. I carry a Springfield XD .45 with a thirteen round magazine and barely notice that it is on the belt.
Good comparison video, my EDC is a Walther PPQ M2 and I have a double stitched Crossover belt and I have zero bend/bow in it and I’ve owned this belt for a hot second. The price point of the Bigfoot is very appealing, when my Crossover belt wears out I’ll definitely consider Bigfoot gun belts.
I bought a Kore belt to replace a Big Foot gun belt as I've been losing a few pounds and was on the innermost hole while carrying IWB. The release lever for the Kore belt took some getting used to, but otherwise I am quite pleased. My main carry gun is a 3" S&W 686 Plus and the Kore belt handles it just fine and lets me adjust more precisely.
I just got the bigfoot belt in brown. It’s way lighter than what I thought it would be, so now I’m considering sending it back for black, but I’ve never worn or been a fan of black belts.
almost 20 years ago I bought a Don Hume leather belt. This was before anyone was making the steel core. It has lasted my with no problems other than fading. And a great gun belt, Bigfoot does offer a thick leather gun belt. But I got a steel core belt. It is awesome. I wear it every day with or without a gun. Looks great feels great and comfortable. A gun belt should last you a lifetime and be able to pass on.
Glad I caught your review! I was just about to order a belt without the steel core. I thought the 1/4” thick leather would be strong enough by itself to hold up my gun. It seems totally worth the extra 10 bucks or so for the additional reinforcement. Thanks!
$41.04 for a Magpul Tejas El Original v2.0 at 1.5"? Deal? I happened to snag 1( of 4 in stock) other day Any chance you try any magpul belts? 40 bucks and I needed a new one so why not I figured?
What about CB Executive or Classic with the liner and double stitching? The CB you have does Not have the liner. That said in the future I might try the Bigfoot belt too.
I would like to see you do a review on the Kore Essentials tactical ratchet belt. This is a really good video, but neither belt does it for me. Thank you for the review.
If you’ve never worn a belt with a core of any kind, beware...not especially comfortable. It does not give when sitting. The beauty of a leather belt is it conforms to your body. I have one from Yoder Leather and they are excellent. Bigfoot without a core are great too. Warping is insignificant unless you are carrying a full size gun. What matters is you don’t want it tilt away from your waist and quality leather belt will not.
Good comment. I did another video on kore belts which though having a core I would say are a little more comfortable than the Bigfoot. Both belts are great. The Bigfoot belt is definitely tougher though.
👍Thank ya sir. I’m having trouble finding a good belt myself & getting frustrated. OWB for leather 1791 Holster’s. (carry polymer, PPQ (sc) &-or Shield) I want very “stiff” & all the ads say this but when they arrive at the house, I’ve been pretty disappointed. I’ll check BigFoot. Thx again. (SUBd) ✌️
Great video. Strange, my bigfoot gun belts steel core does NOT travel through the hole where the buckle attaches to. Still sags because of it. Still searching for the best belt for my full size 1911. Any suggestions?
Why not try a Kore belt it cost me 60.00 bucks and have had it for 2 years with out any issues I carry a SW SD9. Try it I’ll be waiting for the reviews
Where do you get the CROSSBREED CROSSOVER BELT BUCKLE to switch out onto the Bigfoot Gun Belt................ Great review and I have the same sag with my belts........ do you have any links to the Bigfoot gun belt. Thanks
CaptainNemo49 this is the link to Bigfoot gun belts gunbelts.com and here's a link to crossbreeds crossover buckles www.crossbreedholsters.com/belts/accessories/crossover-gun-belt-additional-buckle.html
I bought a bigfoot gun belt when I first started carrying and it is a great belt, but after a while it seemed like it was getting more flimsy. Long story short, I found that the Kore Essentials belts worked really well when I'm dressed professionally, and the nylon "riggers" belts seem to hold the weight very well overall, without the extra thickness needed in something like the bigfoot gun belts. Edit: The main issue I had with the bigfoot gun belt was that the thickness of the belt would deform the clips on my knife sheath (for the CRKT bear claw)
I've said this in other posts but I often opt for the Kore as well. I have both that you mentioned and I wear them equally. I even made a video about Kore belts awhile back. Thanks for watching.
@@PaulPeckham does that affect draw weather panicked or training? More so under pressure will the belt unlatch on a draw when pressure is on the buckel?
@@PaulPeckham probably not their best, probably their most expensive . The belt I have , I chose the double thickness leather with double stitching . Before this belt I would wear a belt out in a year. I'm a pipefitters, crawl around in some tight spots . This belt still looks relatively new and doesnt sag . I went with the nylon instead of the steel in the bigfoot because I do a lot of work in the prisons and didnt want to have to take my belt off everytime I went thru the metal detectors
WOW after watching this video I would never buy the Crossbreed. I like the BigFoot but like you say they just need to offer a bigger and beefier buckle.
I've been carrying a glock 19 with a Walmart belt for about 3 years now unfortunately. I didnt know these existed until I recently broke my everyday belt! But, I do wear alot of dickies pants, and even my Walmart belt at a width of about 1.25 inches, has a really hard time fitting through my belt loops. With this belt being so damn thick, has anyone else tried to fit these belts through the loops on a pair of dickies? Not the denim dickies either. The workpant style.
I can say this about Bigfoot Gun Belts. Looks like a good belt if it fits, mine didn't. Their return policy sucks. Just so people beware. You have to pay to have it returned even though they helped me with sizing. Then if the next one doesn't fit you'll have to pay return shipping on it also. So you could wind up with a lot of money and a belt you don't even have.
Good review! I appreciate it when reviewers do some comparing like you did. Do you have a promo code or anything so I can give you credit for sending me their way?
if so the snaps would have a visable 'dot' or a 'dimple' along one edge. being there... the snap cannot open if attempted at any other point along the circumference... only where the single dot degree is. if there is no dot then the snap can become released from anywhere along the 360degree.
I like Kore gun belts better because I can really dial in my size with and you can leave room to grow or shrink in size. With these other belts if you get bigger or smaller. You're just buying another expensive belt . And dont waste money with 5.11 belts they will last a year.
Good belts but check out 30dollargunbelt.com for excellent gun belt. Also has 9 holes + steel core, if you want one. Most all belts will curve to a body after enough wear. I've never seen one that won't. Kore looks to be good too + Nexbelt. I'm sure there are more but ....
Seriously looked at Kore but found out that while they are headquartered in San Diego the actual belts are made in China. Will not buy anything made in China if I can possibly avoid it.
Thanks for the review. Also, come on man! You want your belt to hold your gun easily?? Then ditch that brick of a gun and get a Glock 19 or 26 already! I know, I know, you just don't know what you would do with all that extra capacity. I mean what's not to love about having only 7 shots. LOL.
I apologize for the level of disrespect... I cannot however, unsee it lol How has the bigfoot belt held up? I ran Kore for my entire carry time and I ended up giving my first one away. Bought another one recently and honestly the quality took a shit big time. I thought maybe I just got a bad one, benefit of the doubt, so I ordered another and it was even worse. Looking for another brand to replace it. Tragic, Kore used to be so good.
Out of every gun belt I have the Bigfoot gun belt has held up the best.I just wish it wasn't so bulky. It's way thicker than any other belt I have. And believe it or not you're not the first person to make that comment on one of my videos. 🤣
Oof. But what belt is that one specifically? If you remember. I'm eyeing the 18oz cus I carry fullsize and compacts, figure one and done. They have a multitude of variants. But just to compare it to something other than website photos.
