Some Trips you have good luck, some trips nothing goes your way, and some trips are both at the same time. The throttle handle went limp as I was slowing down to my first spot. Lucky for me, all I needed was the trolling motor to accomplish the mission of finding some October Hammer Trout. I know you won't be shocked that I had a jerk bait tied on, but as long as they want to eat it, I'll keep feeding it to them. Saw plenty of birds working as well, so I'm guessing a lot of people had a good day. The trout get a little bit bigger every trip I take recently, so (knock on wood) it is looking like it's gonna be a great year. Wouldn't surprise me if a few folks catch their biggest Speckled Trout this year. In case you're curious, I figured out how to reach in the motor and control the throttle with my hand and use my feet to steer back to the marina. Launched at Hopedale Marina, trip on Oct 19.
