Their stuff may be expensive, but it is not overpriced. There is a big difference. Their work is insane. Crazy sculpts and a whole hell of a lot of resin. The price is right.

It is WONDERFUL that they are listening to people like you and the community they are selling to in order to create better products. THAT'S a company with good morals. Their buildings are to die for ; even just as a piece to display in the house.

This is the kind of video I love to see. I've always thought it is upsetting that when a company or product gets any kind of praise on RU-vid the viewers immediately think the reviewer is in bed with the company. This is a great company making great products. That's awesome! Full stop.

I've collected nearly the entire range at this point, and their scatter terrain may be my most favorite bits. Crates and barrels and sacks and produce and on and on - it brings a table to life in a way that is not be be believed until you actually see it. TTW - 11/10 would recommend

Hey Luke! Have you thought about making battle mats from plastic back dropped cloths and acrylic chalk? Just watched the terrain tutor make one and would love to see your spin on it. I also thought it might be a good way for you to build multiple table tops that you can roll up for storage. Thanks for all your vids and tutorials.

UK Marines have FISH & CHIPS in urban warfare: Fighting In Someone's House & Causing Havoc In People's Streets. For D&D I use buildings for CHIPS...for FISH I use a separate layout (every house is a Tardis) so I don't necessarily mind smaller buildings as no size is really quite big enough to play in the interior. Some buildings are so small tho' that they are completely absurd & Tabletop World was on the edge of that. Great to see they're continually improving!

I bought a river and water wheel and bridge from them, but am stumped as to how to best use the river. I am thinking probably to put it permanently on a 2ft by 4 ft piece that I can swap onto the ends or in the middle of a standard "realm of Battle" type setup (4 x 6) I haven't really come across anyone talking about the rivers though, so would love to get your thoughts on the rivers and the attached river buildings like the water wheel, bridge, and fisherman's hut.

1:55 - I appreciate the effort. But as size comparisons go, this isn't great. A massive character, a dwarf and an orc on a huge rock base, all shot at an odd angle, really doesn't help to portray the scale of this. 😅 It would have been nice to see them next to a regular human character. Might be worth getting some Freeguild guys for future scale comparisons - as these are some of the few regular human sized AoS/Warhammer models that haven't been super-charged by a god or power. Freeguild are still 28mm to the eye from the base of the foot, so I am not sure going to 35mm is the best idea, unless it makes it better for fitting models into the houses? Especially as D&D minis are generally smaller, so are Frost Grave. Looking forward to more reviews Luke!

I think it would be interesting to see their "fisherman house" or "Watermill", mostly fisherman house because I'm very much tempted to get it to have a small cottage by a river, especially since the river pieces they have can be opted out from if one would rather make their own or use in in a different placement.

Talking about prices. If you compare 1/35 resin diorama pieces, it's roughly the same price. You don't get interior detail for a complete building and it's usually a building that is low relief so is detailed on two or three sides with the back being blank. Well worth the money.

As someone with a fair amount of the existing TTW buildings and the Mansion still to paint in my painting queue, I am still on the fence about the new models because of the scale change... Their stuff is amazing I just have a hard time justifying the cost to the wife. Personally, the 3 models I have had my eye on are the Wizards Tower, Fisherman's house with river base and because I play a lot of Frostgrave, the Ruined House + Rubble. For the last item, I hate tabletop terrain that has ruined buildings but no rubble and these guys have the best ruined house model I have seen and should I get a chance, that is the first kit that I would purchase. My fear for the Tower and Fisherman's house is that they both look too small to play and would only make good display pieces.

Luke - I have to voice something to do with "scale". If you have visited the old town and other places with medieval buildings in Denmark and Sweden with historical buildings that are preserved and moved as is - you would be surprised by how small they are. Scandinavians are historically and even currently some of the tallest people and those houses were tiny. I am not the tallest amongst my friends at 1.85 and I had to properly duck to go in and out of the doors. It is entirely historically accurate to have doors that don't even fit some minis, and low floors in these types of buildings. How we FEEL about it and what we THINK it should look like has all to do with our expectations and how historical/fantasy is depicted in popular culture and very little to do with reality. I even took lots of picutures with making terrain in mind and was surprised by how small everything felt. Definitely doesn't look right, but is entirely accurate. It's all down to personal taste in the end. Some of the older barns and especially the viking stuff was even worse. I had to stay semi crouched in them all the time. Long houses were fine along the middle. I'll have to mke a vid about this some time as it was extremely interesting from a "terrain" point of view.
@basementdwellR

@@GeekGamingScenics Oh yeah I agree about those. Ye Olde houses aren't proportionally smaller - it's more like they were built for hobbits...

In your reviews you touched on but did not address the real issue. The issue is that there is no scale for the 28 - 36 mm figures. Hence there is no scale for buildings, terrain, and vehicles. The 28 mm + figures have corresponding physical items ranging from 1/64 to 1/43 in scale. So now with figure size creep the buildings and vehicles must creep larger. Life for the gamer an modeler would be so much easier if the gaming industry would adopt scale versus size. Look at how standard scales benefit the entire model railway industry. Sorry for the rant, but if wargames had standards then it would not be necessary for companies to keep adjusting their products.
