As well 90% of recycled materials just end up in a dump right after being recycled because it's cheaper to produce virgin plastics. We would try to mandate this but Republicans keep stalling and stalling to please their base who don't understand that they are causing hundreds of trillions in damage and killing literal billions over the next 50 or so years. In conclusion, people suck and we're all gonna die. Goodnight.

Also barely anything you put into your recycling bin actually gets recycled. Corporations basically came up with recycling so that they could blame the consumer for not recycling plastic bottles instead of consumers blaming them for manufacturing plastic bottles.

I don't think older folks don't care at all, it's just that after experiencing the great attraction of human life for a while, you're prone to becoming more cynical and uncaring. I can’t believe people died because of the sudden loss of power that could have been prevented. People went and sat in their cars in their garages, which is a terrible idea because the fumes can build up and kill you, just to get some warmth. And yet it all faded into the background and I haven’t heard about it since. Guess it got replaced in the news by more bad events.

I think the scariest thing about this is that the people who care aren’t the people who can make a massive change. Riding a bike instead of a car and recycling can’t do much. This wasn't removed because it was a kids movie, it was removed because it hit too close to home. How Bad Can I Be depicted the Once-ler as an ignorant fool who was blinded by greed and pushed on by his followers to keep going, unaware of the destruction he was causing. This is how companies want you to see them. Biggering shows that the Once-ler is perfectly aware of what he is doing, and will keep going anyway, uncaring of the consequences. This is typically how corporations actually behave.

@@mahlawn2808 I'm pretty sure it was both. Like you said, the big shots at Illumination studios felt called out and didn't want the public to see a movie that exposes them for what they really are. They're just dreamers who made it big, they would never knowingly or willingly let people or the enviroment come to harm. At the same time, they also knew that depicting these things accurately would make the movie darker, which in return would most certainly require a higher age rating. Children are the most profitable age group after all. But how are they supposed to milk the movie dry by selling action figures and adorable plush toys if all the children leave the theater crying? Nah, we can't have that in our next big family friendly animation movie. Better strip the entire movie of any meaning and powerful messages to make it more appealing to the general audiences. So yeah. No matter what angle you look at it from. This song being removed from the movie is the pure definition of irony.

Yep, honestly it’s one of the main reasons I prefer “Biggering” over “How Bad Can I be” Biggering speaks more about what companies/corporate are actually causing and the fact that they don’t even care, there’s also parts that to me foreshadow a “it’s not only the company’s and corporations, it’s also the government and even us” meanwhile “How bad can I be” tries to justify those actions and make it seem all unicorns dancing on rainbows in candy land.

This didn't scare me as much as It should've because I already saw all this coming. But I tend to feel better because at least the world is aware and I can see people trying to fix it. I think I remember looking at something that said most of the country is using clean energy. in my view that's a step forward to something greater but I could be wrong.

this year the walnuts arent growing on our trees or anywhere in the area, and the blackberries havent even turned red yet, they were supposed to be black at the beginning of august, along with the near constant heat wave this summer that is in no way normal, add in that it snowed in late spring and flooded worse than the second biggest flood in the area and things are getting bad in the pacific northwest its even worse because for years its been beautiful in my town, with tons of evergreens, but more and more they keep chopping them, now on the way to school you see dead brown hills everywhere, it's horrible, and they just keep going for the money

The story is mostly about environmental impacts, but this song perfectly encapsulates all the harm from corporate greed. The "survival of the fittest" speech in the song basically describes the idea of social Darwinism, and how corporations/billionaires have long justified harming the environment and "second class" people for personal gain.

climate change is a massive danger especially towards island countries (I’m from New Zealand) Island countries are often over looked and barely anyone knows about them due to people often not caring and viewing island countries as if they don’t exist. We should all still do our part to recycle and conserve and save the planet as much as we can, but I'll be honest... I've lost pretty much all hope. Within the span of a single year, when I really learned just how bad this situation really is, I've come to accept, albeit unhappily, that this world is probably going to reach that point of no return and that I'm going to die _much_ sooner than I probably would have had everything happened naturally. Even just watching this video and typing this comment has my fingers shaking so bad that I keep misspelling things. This is _terrifying_ and it's not okay, and every time someone tells me that I'm going to live a long time and live a happy life, I just want to cry because there's just no guaranteeing such a thing anymore. Like I said, everyone _has_ to keep up the good work on doing their part... but I don't know if it's all in vain or not anymore.

When you've caused hundreds of thousands of plant and animal species that dominated the planet for millions of years to go extinct, destroyed countless carefully balanced and essential ecosystems, constantly endanger millions of your own species, and even indirectly harm your own business due to corrupt practices but if you try to actually try to fix your problems you'll temporarily have a lower annual profit. Hey Commentator. I hope you're okay. I'm in a similar position myself, I'm early Twenties right now but I remember arguing with my parents about climate change and pollution back in the 2010's. It feels alot like nothing will change, and that makes you feel hopeless, and while we should all be cautiously cynical, we should never give up on hope. For every corrupt company that's destroying the world for it's own greed, there's hundreds of thousands of people trying their best, dredging trash out of the ocean and replanting the Amazon. It's a terrible situation, but the planet is strong, and even if it doesn't survive the present, it will always come back in the future. If you ever want to talk, let me know. This stresses the hell out of me too and believe me when I say I know what it feels like.

The problem is Corporations don't have the incentive nor the humility to do so, as of now they have a stranglehold or could have a stranglehold on anything they want they have corrupted politics so much so they can bend them over their will with money so not even governments have the power to restrain them because of corruption, if change is to happen I doubt it will be at the hands of corporations.

WALL-E and the Lorax tried to warn people about the future of Earth, but now i think its too late. I didn't know how dark both movies were until i got older, the original Lorax movie was completely dark and the world was doomed to starvation, no trees & fruit/veggies, leaving the viewers to assume what happened at the end of the movie and i really don't consider the euagh...2012 remake a sequel by any means, WALL-E tried to warn people about recycling which most people don't do these days and it causes a problem for animals, i fear for the future of Earth.
