#1) This is NOT a "trail", it is a paved roadway. #2) Riding like this on a paved road will likely cause horrible, painful irreversible damage to the horse's hooves and/or legs. If no damage is done, considered yourselves VERY lucky!
After all we have been thru as a race once upon a time we were held down ...just to know that we are free breath taking so many beautiful horses and beautiful black people riding them Awesome👍
Raeburn I am with you there !!! Pi$$ poor riders all over the place and yes I was into horse for 45 years, and gaited horses, and was a certified riding instructor, and trainer and owned a riding facility and damn I did not see anyone there I would brag on !!! !
@@GALLEN-vf7uy NAW !!! We are just people that know horses and how to ride and rode all over our state and have not a reason in the world to be jealous and when you are as good as I am you can be critical !!!!!
Yep, heavy on the rains and killing their spines and i see they don’t know the 20% rule. Some of those people should be the one where the horse is riding them. Way tooooo big for the size of the horse
The funniest thing about seeing such a large group of beautiful gaited horses in a rodeo parade is seeing the people stuck in a trot to gallop and back to trot again on the non-gaited ones, lol. Been there done that a few times. lol
I’m from East TX. Lufkin to be exact. I almost thought this was outside of Tyler,TX. Trail rides with Tennessee Walkers and Saddlebreds (both Gaited) usually goes with the races with Standardbreds (Pacers)Beautiful horses. I’m glad to see my people together having a good time. Love from VA!
I love it!!! Can't wait to get off work so i can ride mine and enjoy the trail rides this fall ❤ 4weeks left and I'm off until March! 😂 wish i was there with you all
Don't you think that's bad on their hooves their feet have got to be in such awful horrible pain let alone their backs and mouths like I have seen some heavy people yanking the poor horses head around with the reins.
Uuumm did anyone tell them to ride not on high speeds on the hard concrete?? If I would do this, my riding teacher would let me pay the vet bill for broken hoofs and joints 🤦🏼♀️ dude!
keep taking your riding lessons and riding however YOU like , but just know that not ONE of these riders is listening to you telling them how YOU think they should ride THEIR horse ! If it hurts your horse to ride in the street, don't do it.
These horses get quite a bit of training before some one has enough faith in them to bring them to one of these rides....There are many , Many more that Never make it this far because they are simply TOO jumpy ! LOL Before they see their first trail ride , they have been exposed to weed eaters , lawn mowers , chain saws , 4 wheelers and barking dogs and a whole lotta' other noises .. Some can handle it and some can't ......thanks for watching
are all these American saddlebred Tenesse walking horses and race? down here in Australia our Trotters and Pacers only get broken to harness then after retirment someone has to break them to saddle, i wish they were more like you guys. ps how many of ya al rode?
No one needs a "Reminder" , quick or otherwise ... please keep that negative crap to yourself....and....if critiques and criticisms are your thing, maybe start with yourself, and spell "ROAD" correctly...good grief
@@GALLEN-vf7uy I'm a young Black Cowboy out of Florida. We don't really get that much shine on us even though we the sunshine state lol 😅 I'll probably have to put on and represent for my OG's that live here
Can't rightly answer THAT one Boss , as it depends on the experience of the trainer and what exactly you want done .... But thanks for commenting and watching ...Preciate You ...
equigflightgaracia... Sending a horse to a trainer does no good IF the owner rider does not know what the hell they are doing, waste of time, I worked with both the horse and the rider !!!
Don't know about the "Oriental" folks , but I'm sure there were quite a few "Caucasian" folks at this ride .... Sorry to disappoint you, as I'm sure you were trying to be a wee bit "messy" LOL
@@the54thfloor47 Thousands of videos on the channel but some folks will watch and watch and watch "UNTIL" they find something , anything , to complain about
I raised, showed and rode Arabians for over 40 years. I agree with others who have said that riding on Blacktop is hard on the Animals, it is! Especially high Stepping Horses. All of you who ride like these people should start thinking about your Horses, not just your fun. Stop abusing your Animals, their Feet, Legs and Backs can’t take ridding on Pavement for long periods of time. All of you who do these things are damaging your Animals. Start thinking about your Animals safety instead of your fun….
I have never seen anything like this before and I thought it was amazing. So many beautiful horses and such happy riders. Looks like everyone was having a great time. Thank you for sharing..
I am sorry, but as a horse person for many years. This so called trail ride up set me. Some riders were too heavy for the horse they were on. It was clear a lot did not know how to properly ride a horse. Females, wear a sports bra before you put an eye our. I can only imagine the pain these horses are going to be in for a few days. Riders, get off the horses mouths. You do not cantor a horse on pavement. I can not give this cruelty video a thumbs up. I would NEVER put my horses threw this. And for the hate comments i will likely get, too frigin bad.
Man I watch all your videos. I love watching Southern people ride horses a day can get along laugh a relax I'm originally from Fayetteville North Carolina. And will love to do this in Fayetteville
Poor Horses. I guarantee there were a bunch of sore Horses after that so called "Trail Ride". I hope for the Horses sake this was just a short part of the "Asphalt Ride". And even if was short, it's still Very Bad on the Horses running them on hard Asphalt. And also it's Very dangerous for the Horses & the Riders when you run a Horse that has steel shoes on Asphalt, it's pretty much like walking on Ice..And another thing I hate seeing is larger people riding a Horse that's to small for their size, ridiculous...
@@kevintaylor458 - I saw many riders that would weigh over 220 lbs in this video. Also, many of the riders showing TWH are HUGE men who intentionally ride so their weight falls mainly on the hind end. Lots of the people in this video need to take some riding lessons. It’s always a bad idea to mix careless drivers and careless riders together. That’s an accident waiting to happen. I’m sure this group was having a good time and meant no harm to any of the horses. I just wish they would be more cautious.
@@GALLEN-vf7uy I just found out it was an awesome video keep up the great work I'll see you got more finish watching this where is this video coming from???? Keep up the great work God bless you and all
XxshellyW1 NOT even a little bit !!! Very hard on feet ankles, knees shoulders, and dangerous as steel on pavement is slick/dangerous !!! But these people all seemed to not care about their horses, just strokin their EGOS as to who had the fastest horse !!! SAD PATHETIC horsemanship !!!
People would like to watch these trail rides, just to see the beautiful horses, would be nice if you guys have a audience, are you guys having anything for Juneteenth, I would like to bring my family ❤️
Wow I didn’t know they got down like that in Texas!! Awesome 👏🏽 I used to ride horses in Compton back in the early eighties and we used have a trail that ran from Compton along the water corridor all the way to Long Beach California and it was super fun the old school cowboy was only ones who knew about if wasn’t past down to the next generation. I believe it’s still there I’m sure because now a lot of Mexicans are in that area now but it still a lot black cowboys still carrying on the old heritage.
Compton has a long history of horses in that hood, going way back at least into the 1950s. The tradition continues in the Black community there! Check out Compton Junior Equestrians and Compton Cowboys!

Beautiful. I know they are gaited horses but what breed are most of them? Gorgeous-moving horses. I'm not sure why this popped up on my page but I'm very glad it did!
@@cathiwim Thank you! Beautiful horses. When I was very young, the only Walkers I was ever around had the built up hooves. So these didn't quite look like Walkers to me. I love these videos. I've been binge-watching the channel.
It's not foolish talk at all. I'm in North Carolina and every year in the southeast rural county I live in, all the black people that keep horses have a big home coming and pig pickin and black riders from all over our state will join up and they ride like this. Here in NC, black riders like to coordinate their clothing and tack. It is stylish! I would have loved to join up with them but I always had to work. One year some riders came down here from Raleigh with their trailers and tack and stopped at a grocery store and I talked to them a while. I asked them where their horses were and they told me that it was too hot to bring them. That is how much they cared about traveling long distance in severe weather. It was indeed humid and hot like crazy that year. The thing is, not many black folk themselves know about horse keeping and they would exclaim the same thing as BOSS! At work I get asked a lot about horses by my co-workers. So, it isn't racist or foolish because most city black folk are unaware about those who love, enjoy, and keep horses. Wow.@@GALLEN-vf7uy
Just a heads up! It can injure the horses on pavement since its not a natural ground the usually stand on, make sure to not gallop them on the pacement since it could injure leg bones temporarily.
I like the sound of horses hooves click clacking. Also it's nice to see black men and women riding horses. Shoutout to all of you. God bless. I love the horses too. They're all beautiful
