Bath is my home town and I enjoyed your video. Just one small point, Bath doesn't have a cathedral, as you rightly said later it is Bath Abbey. Bath lies within the diocese of 'Bath and Wells' and the cathedral is located in England's smallest city Wells which is 20 miles from Bath and well worth a short visit.
Fantastic video guys, great photography good audio and soothing music nicely blended in. I'm so pleased you're enjoyed your stay over here, us Brits are very proud of our heritage. I wish you both well.
What an infectious zest for life you both have. New subscriber from near Cardiff. So glad you enjoyed Wales, even if it is a bit grey this time of year. Great content. Keep it up.
Flapjacks in uk are Oats, Butter and Golden Syrup, there like childhood treats. not the healthiest, but super tasty. i loved when they would make them for school deserts.
I went to Bath 8 years ago and now watching this vlog I think I need to visit it again. 😍 And thanks for the suggestions on the coffee shops and tea houses there.
Just to point out Bath doesn't have a Cathedral, it has an Abbey, it's part of the diocese of Bath and Wells. It's also one of the few cities in the UK that doesn't have a cathedral
If you think those are the biggest buns in the UK, you obviously haven't been to the north east of England and tried a stottie cake. This is a large bread roll which is usually 33 centimetres in diameter and 4 centimetres thick, some people call them a bin lid. You can slice it across the centre and fit an entire full English breakfast inside your stottie cake, now that really is a big bun.
Bath looks really historically amazing--reminds me of Edinburgh which has a similar '' steeped in history vibe '' we ( my wife and I are always looking for places to visit on weekends etc and this has given us the heads up on Bath---thank you--this England trip is fun---maybe see you up in Scotland some day xx
We live near Bath so it was really interesting seeing it from an American viewpoint. If anyone is watching this planning a visit I’d recommend trying Ben’s Cookies and visiting the Roman Baths as it’s really interesting.
Can't believe you went to Bath and didn't visit the Roman baths, after which it was named! Probably the next most famous place in Bath is the Royal Crescent. Which you also missed, lol. ;) Great video though
Just to let you guys know that flapjacks are finger food. Homemade are the best and a staple thing to eat as a kid in schools when the dinner ladies and cooks use to make a fresh batch everyday to eat at lunch break.

It was great to re-live a bit of Bath watching your wonderful video today. Mike and I visited the UK for our honeymoon back in April of 1993. A lot of new and exciting eating places I see, and that spa you visited earlier wasn't there either :-( But we did eat the big buns at Sally Lunn's - loved them!
Most of the vlogs by young Americans this year, have been in the' Fall' , were the weather is ,as you have discovered , can be wet ,windy and cold-ish. Pity because you have missed one of our greatest summer's ( once in a half century) they arrive. But ,I expect touring is cheaper at this time, and you miss the huge crowds.
LOL KingingIt is still busy with the Mongol Rallye. I am glad you mentioned that you were going to see them in Wales (you did before, I recall), that way I know they made it home! Kind of a spoiler, but also good to know. They had some interesting times on the Rallye.
Oh man, that Rally was a once in a lifetime experience! So cool, we saw them just 2 days after they finished the Rally and were amazed they could function
Bath looks great, another place I have to visit! Flapjacks are probably the first thing kids learn to "cook" if they go to Scouts or Girl Guides or any club like that.
I really enjoyed this video of you having fun in my city. A very good choice of coffee and tea shops which are some of my favourites. There is another Society Cafe in a place called Kingsmead Square where you can sit outside if you wish, weather permitting; all their cakes are gluten free if that's relevant. There is so much more to Bath than what you were able to cover in this video but I think you may have covered some of it in other videos. I have retired now and all this is only ten minutes walk away from where I live and there are some lovely parks in the city also, the biggest being Royal Victoria Park. I am very lucky to be able to live here.
Imagine you go to Paris, miss the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triompe, by missing the Roman Baths and the Crescent you sort of did that. Enough with the hipster Cafes, get indigenous!!!
Jodi's setup is the exact same one we use :P really cool like how you made most of the weather, we are starting to realize one month into our travel that we love quaint neighbourhoods just like bath.
Awww I'm late to the party! We're actually on a little trip to Cornwall right now. The video turned out soooo good! 😄 and OMG those sunglasses 😂 I don't even remember you filming that!
Thank you so much, im new. What are the simple steps to move from the USA to the UK? we need Step 1,2,3,4,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 please help us, we are an older couple. Wed like to buy a cheap home even if its a cheap Trailer on our own 2 to 5 acre lot.
Yeah missed so many things about Bath that its famous for but it was a funny video for the wrong reasons lol like eating a flapjack like that (how do you eat a granola bar?) but flapjacks are so much better and tbh i have seen much better. Did you just go to a starbucks? Sally lunns is a good choice, as is the Roman baths or the new spa but its a bit touristy and expensive and it looked like you were on a backpackers budget? Give me a shout next time you visit as my family live there, i live near Oxford another great city worth a visit :)
Flapjacks.. blehhhhh. I've never found a cafe that bakes them properly or uses butter instead of margarine. They always serve it up like half-baked cookie dough. A proper flapjack should be a little bit crispy-crunchy on the edges, chewy on the outside and a little bit soft in the centre. I either make my own (really easy) or buy a tray from the supermarket and put it in the oven for about 15 mins.
`Americans obsessed by youth whilst there and age whilst here. I can make neither head nor tail on it. But its nice to see some people - nomatter where they are from - finding amazing what I find standard. It makes one appreciate ones own country.....
Yay Jodi! I remember her vlog from there a couple weeks back which featured a certain dynamic duo :) That cathedral @3:28..wow. The inside doesn't disappoint either. Stunning. Love those wee waterfalls @8:25 . Indeed more proof that just because a place may be "touristic" isn't necessarily an indication to avoid it! Many cases it's must see!! Spot on with the music once again :) Hmm.."buns" in the title. Last video there was mention of Uranus. LOL
Scott I think we’re best friends! I agree with everything you said here👆🏻 Some touristic locations are my fav like Venice. I think it depends on when you choose to visit. Off season is usually less crowded and just as amazing! -Ash
Worth a day trip cycling alongside the canal from maps.google.com/?q=51.377026,-2.352515 towards Bradford on Avon, best done while it's been dry for a few days (includes Dundas Aquaduct) Theres also the Combe Down tunnel that you could cycle through on the way back? www.visitengland.com/experience/cycle-two-tunnels-circuit-bath
When are you American tourists going to visit 'YOUR OWN ''AMERICAN MUSEUM', high up on a hill , overlooking the beautiful Geogian City of Bath??. The Georgian manor house was bequesthed to America, just after WW2, as a thank-you gift from Britain. It is stuffed with beautiful original Gems, from the early days of American independance, including complete Rooms from the Geogian and early pioneer days ---go see. Check it out online too.
Haha no it’s a pizza crust commercial “what’s on your tombstone?” Linked here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vKspf06XuaQ.html Or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hbvfDG1lHK4.html or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fnlZtAYAOt8.html 🤣 there are so many.
I don't much like Bath. It should be a much nicer, cleaner, safer place but all the investment money has been squandered on pet-projects and the basic infrastructure of the place has been left to rot for decades. It's a dying town.
Looking at view numbers I see no body is Interested in England. 6 of your top 10 videos including Number 1 and 2 are in Turkey. Come to Turkey again. There are many places in Turkey you haven't visited yet.
We do love Turkey but want to spread the love. Thankfully what we do is not just about the numbers.:) It makes us happy you welcome us back though❤️ -Ash
