Netflix should be trying to produce the next beautiful mind, gladiator, dune, breaking bad, etc. Their slogan might as well be "want to watch this again?"I mean I'm about 10 titles into this & I saw all these like a decade ago. Hollywood needs new quality content. Period. They're cannibalizing their own industry with shortcuts, no artistic integrity, commercialization. It's like cooking a meal for only taste and ignoring the quality of ingredients. You'll get fed & sick.

Colombiana was written as the sequal to Leon the Professional. Bennson and the studio parted ways so it couldn't be a true sequal with Portman but very little was changed story wise.

I’d really like to know what leaves on November 1st so I can plan my must-see October viewing ahead of time. As far as I can tell, Netflix doesn’t have a section in their app for what’s leaving - and that’s maddening!

IT FOLLOWS is one of my favorite Horror movies of all time. I like horror that sticks in your brain and haunts you LONG after the movie ends. Sometimes when I'm walking down a sidewalk I look around to make sure I'm not being followed.

You're quickly becoming one of my favorite YT channels. I Just did the "sign-up and unsubcribe" thing for 30 days of netflix just to watch the One Piece live action show and one or two other movies. So this is great timing for me.

Thanks for the list as always DVD! I love the original dune and new, excited for the next. I liked American made but couldn’t shake a choppy, pieces missing feeling? I’d like to rewatch it and see if I feel the same. There’s been a few movies I’ve been nah to ahh on a second viewing. When you mentioned "The Firm" being the first movie to show Tom Cruise sprinting, I thought, "Didn't he run in 'Risky Business'?" I think there was a scene where his character was late for school and there was a shot of the front of the school and him running to get in. I have to admit, usually when I watch these I don't think "I'm going to watch that" very emphatically, about the movies you talk about (it's usually more like, "Hm, that looks interesting/that could be good") but "American Made", "Captain Laserhawk", and "Life on Our Planet" are all things I definitely want to watch. I remember seeing trailers for "American Made" around the time it was released and thinking "That might be good". The first clip you showed of it makes the movie look pretty entertaining. I was sold on "Captain Laserhawk" upon seeing the "Assassin's Creed" reference (my Dad said the creature in that outfit reminded him of the trolls from the 80's animated Disney show "The Gummi Bears") because the little creature doing that dive was cute. I'm learning 3D animation and am curious to see what the graphics will be like in "Life on Our Planet". Though I wasn't immediately sold on "The Adventures of Tintin" the clip with the bicycle parkour sort of thing made me think "Okay, now that looks cool".

Thanks for doing the legwork. Midnight Mass was the best of the year...so far. I can't wait to see Mike Flanigan's take on Usher's fall.

Dune is a brilliant movie but it does benefit from being seen on the biggest screen if you do get the chance, going to see the sequel at the IMAX

Left Netflix a year ago and not coming back til actors strike is over.

Except for them stupidly killing their entire DVD service, which had tens of thousands of titles not available on streaming.

BlackKklansman is a small-ish film but is righteous and funny in all the right spots. Adam Driver is impeccable as always and John David Washington was outstanding. Kudos to another sweet Spike Lee joint.

I was looking forward to American made and as of 6:50 PM on 10/1 it does not appear to be available in the US. I do see ghost protocol, however. Also, seasons one and two of Chappelle show still appear to be available.

The streaming services seem more like regular TV stations, switching the same movies around from service to service. Barely anything new on each service.

American Made doesn’t seem to have been added to Netflix in the US.

Recently I dumped Netflix after many, many years of membership, due to the majority of all movies being B Grade foreign, along with stagnant U.S. movies. My question would be that Netflix now introducing new movies and shows, is how long and ho often this would be? Meanwhile I am not missing Netflix, although disappointed with what used to be my Fav.

Almost Certainly in the Minority but I'll Choose Columbiana from that list.. . I'll also be checking out Ballerina.. .
