@@smithworx1091 the weather man forecasted 50% or more rain everyday for the next 15 days. I'm glad he's lies went in your favor this time. Hope you got to get on the Dozer without there being mud everywhere
@@smithworx1091 I'm going to hopefully be coming to Holly Springs this summer for a few days. My buddy bought 5 acres and a house with a shop there. Don't know what he's going to do in the shop. He can't change oil in a lawnmower with instructions.🤣
@Jim Tew Jr I got to play on the dozer past couple days. It's been really nice here. Let me know if you come this way. I'll try to meet you and shake your hang
@@smithworx1091 I'm glad you got to use the Dozer hope you get a job where you can push some dirt. I'll definitely let you know if I get up that way. Supposed to have surgery but not sure if or when. Be Safe
U will have a beautiful place for your clients new house,do u have an old bit of 3inc metal pipe u can add to your leaf blower, that way your leaf blower will be further away and the steal can be closer to the fire, people say there is no smoke without fire and a good fire doesn’t smoke much, take care
Nice Job. Keep us updated with part 2. Try to get more time lapse into your videos. Makes good entertainment watching. Maybe in the next video. Try to stack all your stuff as close to the burn site. Heat from fire helps to dry out the green stuff quicker.
Like i always say dont worry about what people say, your on the job site not us. Again my opinion is your doing a great job. That is going to be a huge fire and thats what you wanted. The hay bails helped a lot with every thing else. Great job and looking forward to it being all burnt so you can go forward my friend. God bless you and your family.
I sometimes use a 20 foot piece of 2 inch pipe, duct taped to my blower tube to get the blower away from the heat, great job on the clearing and the fire.
That’s a massive fire. I half expected you to pick that blower up with the 313 at the beginning of the video. You made a lot of headway in a day. Great video man!! Keep up the good work!
@@smithworx1091 I swear a blower, a pole saw, and a weed eater just seem to wanna be on its side or upside down. You would think manufacturers would have it figured out by now. My stihl pole saw wants to be anything but upright.
@@smithworx1091 not sure but that’s kinda what I was building. A squirrel cage fan with Briggs and Stratton and a belt. Was just gonna weld up a base and put a kind of cage around it with a top I could grab with a thumb. But I don’t necessarily need one at the moment so I kinda lost interest.
Real men don’t need hay to make a fire. I’m glad I showed you how to do this you are getting better. Thankful you bought your own leaf blower and stoped tearing up mine. And complaining about the old one I gave you.
That got going fast!!!! Every time I’ve tried the hay bales it ended up being more of a fight to the straw burning. It was always in the rain and green wet wood. We usually use diesel waste oil mix and blowers . The last couple of burns I did were in a pit with trenches going to the pit. The trenches narrowed just before the pit, like a Venturi. I only did it twice but it did seem to help. Both of those burns were smaller ones but the hottest I’ve ever done.
I use a little diesel sometimes on the hay bale. I prefer used motor oil but I can't keep any burning so much lol. Try busting the hay bale up a little next time. I've noticed that will help get it going better. And I prefer burning in a pit and cutting the trenches like you said. Burns way hotter!
@@smithworx1091 Thanks! I noticed you broke it up a little. We were thinking it would be better to leave it bailed and soak up the fuel like a sponge. I wasn’t sure if the trenches did anything or not but I guess they do.
@@smithworx1091 Thinking about it, it’s like putting holes in the bottom of a burn barrel. Without the trenches fresh air has to be drawn down into the pit from above the pit. Trenches allow air to be drawn in directly at the base of the fire where the reaction is taking place. That would also be cooler denser air with a higher oxygen level. Never really thought about it before but it makes total sense.
