@@AmyGlam I hope you get to! The way you talk about her makes me want to see you do a video with her. You’re lovely, so she must be amazing. I feel like Mothers tend get more opinionated as they age lol. I think it would be really entertaining.
I like that you let us know to wait ✋️ for they update on the sent review, not just go for the first impressions. Honesty is everything 💯. You look so beautiful and your make up is always so flawless plus mint colors look amazing on you.
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️ I wouldn’t want someone buying something I get excited for and then when I give it a full wear I don’t Enjoy it 😩🤣 that’s the worst 😩
Enjoyed your declutter 😉 I completely understand, I’m trying to curate my collection to only have fragrances I’m obsessed with. I don’t want to have fragrances I haven’t touched for 2 yrs. So I’ve been using up a lot of fragrances for my year end empties video 😉
Wow, just wanted to hop on and say that this makeup look that you have on in this video is gorgeous on you, your eyes are stunning! Love watching your videos, none of your suggestions have steered me wrong yet😊! Really appreciate how you describe everything so well.
Hey Amy, I totally concur. I feel like I don't see the purpose in keeping frags simply for the sake of having them. I'm constantly going through my collection and weeding out the ones that just no longer deliver that "IT" factor. My daughter has been able to create a complete side hustle just from my decluttering...lol. I recently decluttered EA White Tea, L'imperatrice, and Si Passione Intense(all blind buy fails). Btw, Prada Candy Gloss and Montblac Signature are definitely staying in my collection. To me, they're perfect for bedtime and the dr.'s office...tfs.
Hi Amy 🌹👀 This is one of the biggest declutters I’ve seen so far 👏👌Very inspirational and makes me want to really go through my collection and weed out fragrances I don’t get along with or don’t enjoy as much as I should 😉
I decluttered a bunch of fragrances years back by gifting them to friends and family. I developed allergies so I need to actually wear lighter scents. I also need to have it on my skin for about 20 mins to see how I react. These days I no longer buy unless I am 150% sure I love them. I can't do anything with heavy florals or amber or oud. Those trigger my allergies so badly. And I prefer to do the fragrance dupes from the local flea market in form of perfume oils for more affordable cost. But I do have Coco Mademoiselle in 50ml which I love. It took me 3years to decide.
I’ve paused and come back to this video at least 4 times today. Stuff kept happening so I couldn’t finish it in one sitting but I had to hear which fragrances were on this list.
Enjoying this declutter! I have and love MJ Perfect Intense as well. Why don't you just see if you like it sprayed in your clothes and hair and not on your skin. It lasts forever on my clothes, but the jasmine comes out a bit more on my skin. It's worth a try! ☺️
@@OpinionatedScents I’ve calmed down a lot too, but I don’t know what happened the past two weeks but I was just adding to cart like crazy 🤣 but I need to calm down again lol!
Your mom is right tonic does smell like cucumber 🥒 😊 I have it but don’t reach for it 🥴 letting go is always good! I also get bored with fragrances it’s the moods we go through I even get annoyed seeing the same fragrances over and over lol this was a great Declutter 😉
Funny that you mentioned scents changing. Last year I absolutely loved Christian dior addict, I picked it up almost daily in the warmer months to smell it out of the bottle because I loved it so much. Now that it's cooler I was so excited to wear it but a few minutes after putting it on I regretted it, something about it bothered me. Very disappointing since it was my favorite for the fall and winter. I'm hoping it was just a bad day and I'll love it again next time.
It's not so much, or not *just* scents changing, but that 1. They work differently depending on temperature and 2. Our body chemistry, especially as women, can change. Even from week to week. Our Aunt Flow comes to visit, our hormones change for different reasons (pregnancy, menopause), we take medication, our diet changes, we're in a stress period etc etc. So, all those reasons influence how we experience a fragrance and how it works together with our skin. I just had to declutter about 7 fragrances. Not because I don't like them, but because I started a treatment in February and they suddenly smell disgusting on me 😔. Two or three others have to go to the "temporary out" because their longevity - maybe they're more suited to warm weather - suddenly halved and I usually have max 3-4hrs to begin with. All the reasons above are also why I usually wait a while until I declutter for sure when I know my circumstances will go back to normal again and/or the perfumes might simply not be year-round even when I thought it could be.
So funny to always seeing that our nose and skin didn't react the same about perfumes. What an exiting hobby! So sad these don't bring you joy or didn't work for you. Your friends and family will be well gifted by those.
Yes!! new video and it's a declutter!!! 😁👍😅 I gave some perfumes to my daughter: Britney spears private show, viva la juicy juicy couture, Salvador Dali rubylips..They just didn't last on my skin 😌 and Candy love..I was pretty over that one. Crystal noir edt is one that really need to be in the mood for. Pretty crazy cause I loved that scent before! I think I will still keep it. Loved this video Amy!! 😍
Your makeup is gorgeous and so is the pretty lime sherbert colored shirt! I've never enjoyed any Mugler's that I've tested. :( I'm going to my nieces wedding on Nov. 10th and wanted to make sure I have an autumn scent that I've used and loved in the past...so I just got off Fragrancenet ordering Versace Crystal Noir and Armani Code Cashmere (vial samples are available). Now I have at least two autumn and winter fragrances that actually feel like "me". Ty for the video! I wanted to see what you say about JChoo Fever bc I've been curious about that one for a few years now!
@@AmyGlam Well, I really think we have very similar taste in scents- so if I know you're still reaching for Juicy Gold (one of my all-time FAVES) and NOT reaching for the JChoo Fever...enough said! I trust your nose, my friend! No JChoo Fever for me! Lol
Oh! And I trust was thinking- I mentioned how Crystal Noir is a "autumn" scent- but actually, to me its more of a beautiful gardenia white floral scent. I, and I think MOST women, relate Crystal Noir as being sexy and dark simply because of our influence by the dark purple bottle. If you actually smell it and pretend its the newest "floral freshy", you'd be surprised how your thoughts would change. It actually smells like the MOST LUXURIOUS SOAP, SHAMPOO, LOTION thats a clean white floral heavily based on white gardenia- and would smell PHENOMENAL in a passing scent of a woman on a cool, breezy, spring day.
I too got rid of alien eau extraordinaire but to me it was that pepper Note. Also red kiss, prada gloss and lolita lempicka sweet did not last on me no more then maybe an hour so I got rid of those too. I've been into the spicy vanilla scents lately! Especially dior addict and even lalique le parfum:)
I feel just like you with Marc Jacobs Perfect (original, tho)- it has some STRANGE smell that I just can't do. I have Zara's "Tropical Boost" and its almost identical to the tester of "Perfect" I had. I just don't like that weird scent..maybe its pineapple note? I'm not sure.
I remember I hated sweet diamond pink pepper the first time I ordered it and I took it right back to Sephora 🤣 but I recently ordered the mini to see if I still felt the same and I definitely find it way more wearable now but I still struggle with it. I don’t think the scent profile is for me. 🥴
When a fragrance is too much one way, I look for ways to use it as a layer to tone down that strong fragrance. It usually works. I know my scent sense changes so I don’t like to get rid of fragrances unless I get a headache from it.
Loverdose Red Kiss I totally didn't have issues with (I spray on clothes). The scent actually transferred (old batch sample) from my cardigan to the couch of my boyfriend. He said he smelled it for 2 days straight on the couch. I sprayed like 4 times I think. I didn't get any chocolate in it though, fruity sweet it was, or I'm anosmic to chocolate. Didn't smell it in other fragrances either. Boss the scent private accord for example.
Ugh… I got sucked into feeling I needed 1 Terry Muglier scent… but I hate Alien in every form. I blind bought Nova (rainbow bottle)since people raved about the tropical pineapple note. That dissipates in a second and you’re left with Alien😬
I just discovered your channel and I'm so happy I did! This is only your second video that I'm watching, so sorry if you're already familiar with this perfume, but I've heard good reviews on Lamar by Kajal in regards to the pineapple notes. Okay, gonna keep binging on your videos now 😂 btw you are gorgeous!
I'm glad I don't have any of the perfumes you are decluttering. I also want to mention that JLo seems to come out with a different perfume every week it feels like. I have only one of hers now, called The One.
It’s still a beautiful fragrance and I would totally wear it again, I just wish it didn’t have the citrusy touch it has to it. I would be obsessed if it was exactly the same but without the citrus ☺️🥰
She is me I am her. 😆 I felt this way with the gucci Gardena, maybe I should just where it during September the longevity made me ao sick of the smell. MOOD
Good thing you decluttered 212 ViP, I liked it at first aswell. And wait for it.. Mine turned bad within a year and it started to smell like urine. Now I'm so put off by the scent.
That’s a complaint I have about most Niche brands, is that they’re mostly all labeled unisex, so it’s up to us to figure out if it’s feminine or not , a lot of times, our only option is to blind buy. I just don’t like spending the higher price point on risky fragrances. Now, I do have some mancera fragrances, those are cheap enough to blind buy and I watch a lot of lulu’s channel , she’s a mancera lover, she is very informative on those fragrances and makes it easier for me to choose a feminine fragrance. Most niche fragrances though, you just don’t know what you’re getting, I wish they would make more niche fragrances that have a gender label, just so I can tell better which way they lean.
If you go on websites like twisted lilly it says whether its unisex more male or unisex more female. Also fragrantica has that section as well in the reviews.
@@laurenskubish400 fragrantica has been wrong though, in several cases. My point is, I wish they were more transparent, straight forward, it would be nice for a change. It’s become too repetitive
You can buy perfume oils from Oilperfumery and use them as a tester. Most of them are pretty spot on and they start at about $15. That's a sort of cheap way to test them out before blind buying them.
@@sherlcollins7011 mmmm 😋 I want velvet vanilla, I think I was afraid it would be too sweet is why I haven’t gotten it yet lol I have roses vanille, roses greedy, musky garden and I have wild python on the way 💓velvet vanilla is on my list though 👍🏻
I really don't like cucumber scents either. It tends to become more and more obnoxious as the time goes by forcing me to go wash it off with vinegar or olive oil.
I also struggled with Hermès EDM Bleue. I loved it in store and when I got it too, and my husband liked it also, but wearing it, well I think it was probably an overdose of calone that I didn't enjoy. I sold it. I should have bought the original
I agree on the tonic, don't care for the cucumbery scents. But have you tried Wanted girl night? Omygod.. Blind sniffed it and It's what I've been looking for all my life 😭 If you like sweet 'berry or grape candy' but done in a non childish way 💜💙💜💙 try it
Ive gotten rid of vs bombshell ..michael kors very hollywood..michael kors sexy amber and jlo after dark..i get moody as well and get tired of things😂..
I reeaally liked d&g the only one intense when I first got it, but now I'm not sure if I like it that much anymore for some reason :( I kinda have the same thing with versace crystal noir too but I think I'll still try to use them up.
Hi! When that happens to you with d&g the only One intense.. set it aside and try it again in a couple Of months. The same thing happens to a lot of people with that one, including myself. 😆 I was about to declutter it a few months ago and then I wore it one day and fell in love all over again 😳🤣
I would’ve gladly bought the Angel Nova or Hermes. I hope they’re appreciated by their new owners. Periodic decluttering is always a great idea. I swap with my friends. Love from the spooky Pine Barrens in NJ
I have sweet and I layer it with fragrances that may be too fresh or floral, the sweetness can tone down strong floral notes or amp up weak citrus “fresh” fragrances. I find it useful to keep in my collection for that reason.
It’s only worth it to me if you like layering, not that it’s not good, it is, it’s just it’s almost reminds me of those solo note fragrances that are meant for layering. It just works great and since I have a lot of fragrances and some that could use that extra sweetness, it’s a keeper for me. If you don’t like layering, I would say , pass it up
Hi love, I’m not sure if you are new to fragrances or not but always remember.. no matter who you are watching you always have to remember that perfume is not going to perform the same way on everyone. We all have different skin chemistry and that causes fragrances to smell different, perform different and last different on everyone. This means neither one of us is wrong. She isn’t lying by saying it lasts a long time and I am not lying saying it didn’t perform well on me. We both shared our personal experiences. ☺️🥰 at the end of the day it’s always best To try a sample if possible on your skin to see how the fragrance performs on you. Thanks for watching 🥰
Channels that start doing good and getting subs/views start turning to mostly Niche fragrances that I can’t afford. Seems designer fragrances become no longer unique enough. Have a feeling this channel is going that direction.
🤔🤔 that doesn’t really make sense, in my video before this one I literally spoke on how I’m not fully Into niche fragrances and there are still some I don’t enjoy and I love designer fragrances. I just did a declutter of what I’m not using at the moment but I continue to buy designer fragrances because they are my favorite. ❤
I just wish all perfume RU-vid influencers would keep the name of the perfume up the entire time they are talking about it 😒 Yes I'm retarded and can't remember 🙃 🤪
