Thank you arion816! We found almost all of our tanks second hand on FB market! You can get some great deals there. We also worked on putting this together over a long period of time. My sweet niece knows my favorite place is the ocean and the beach and decided to get me a hermit crab for my bday a few weeks ago. I decided to try my best to give Eugene the best life possible and now have a 10 gallon tank (soon to be a 50) and everything he could want. Thank you for all the help

I’m getting a huge tank today, so my crabbies will go from 40 gallons to 150 gallons. My goal is to make it look natural like your amazing tanks. Where did you purchase your plants? Did you use only fish tank plants? What did you use for the water dripping in your tank? I’ve learned so much from your videos...watched every one of them. EEEKKKK!! That is so exciting! What an awesome tank upgrade. You are going to have so much fun! We only have live (aquatic) plants in our pools right now. We do plan on trying live plants at some point in the tank, however there are a lot of parameters involved with that. When we have enough research data collected on that, we will release a video all about it. The water tree drip is made by Thirive from PetsMart. We saw it as we were building the tank and thought we would give it a try. We haven't talked about it though because it isn't holding up and we hate to advise anything to you guys that isn't top notch. It only worked well for about a month, partly well for another month, and now not at all. Ok so I know this is off topic but you guys SAVED my hermet crab. Before I watched the diet video, he had the powder food and pellets and never came out. Now I feed him veggies and fruits and hes so energetic!

Thank you so much, what a sweet comment! I wanted to mimic their natural habitat as closely as possible. In the wild they live along the coast line amongst the trees and travel to the shoreline for food and water. So I decided I wanted the tanks to have a forest side and a beach side that they could literally travel from one end to the other to meet their needs. They seem to love it!
Cant wait for the walk-through tour. Im sure you are probably going to set up the tank for the babies zoes you are going to try and hatch also...? Tie that onto it also and let them just drop them into it on their own. lol.

This is incredible! It’s so fun imagining them climbing on everything. I got my crabs one of those little swings with the colorful plastic chain for their big tank when they move. I’d say that your hermies are the happiest of all. 😉

I've got so many questions I hope you can answer in future videos. I'm super intrigued by your backgrounds and pools specifically. How did you do the backgrounds? And I'm really interested in the water drip water pool and how the water is changed in the pools. I also want to know what lights you used! I noticed the custom tables right away, that's genius to make all the tanks the same height! I hope you took lots of mid-build pics and video. I'd love to see as much as the process as possible. I just bought a 55 gallon tank for my crabs to upgrade to and I also have a small tank they are in now and this gave me a ton of ideas and I’m definitely going to be adding a tank on top of my 55 gallon so they can climb higher.

Wow this is so cool! Job well done I'm sure you guys put alot of work into it. And I'm sure your crabs love it. Only thing I'd worry about is finding them when they do molt or hide.
We check the tanks daily.... every morning and evening, just to make sure everyone is well and the heat/humidity is good. We have a Wayze camera as well to monitor 24/7. When the crabs dig down to molt, there is really nothing we can do for them. We can only do our best to create a good environment and provide all the resources they need to thrive, then we just have to let them be crabs.
Me and my son got our first crab from Florida. Then we went to a local pet store a woman owns near us to get more supply's and the place was the worst pet store I've ever seen. There was many dead crabs and no food or water. I ended up buying one that day because I felt so bad for the crabs... Then the day after I was thinking and I told my bf I want to stop at that pet store again...ñ. and he looked at me and said are you going to go buy the rest of the crabs.. I just smiled!! He had been in there with me and knew how bad she treated not just the crabs but all the animals... Needless to say I have 5 crabs now. I put a camera up also to watch them to make sure they was eating and drinking they literally didn't hide they went straight for the food it was so sad but I was happy I knew they would be taken care of now. We went back to that pet store a few weeks later to see if she changed caring for the crabs she bought more and it was worse...i did report the woman tho!!! Me and my son watch your videos all the time for advice and the right things to buy for them. You guys are amazing keep up the good work!!!

@@CrabCentralStation My hermit crabs are going to town having a night club party right now, the clinking on the galss tanks , i know it is day light right now, but i work at nights and it is dark in my place right now, so my hermit crabs know when i go to bed and then they have a party
Great job! Do the crabs actually move from tank to tank and up into the top climbing tanks? We just upgraded to a 40 gallon and I thought that was a big upgrade. I'm very excited for the in detail video.
Yes!!! They love to climb throughout the whole tank build. We have a forest side (where the fresh water pool is) and a beach side (where the salt water pool is). The crabs spend most of the day up in the toppers, they absolutely love them!
WOW! This is amazing. ❤️ I have 2 hermits for almost 2 years now and I love them so much. I am always looking for ways to upgrade their 40 gallon. I want to get more crabbies. I also want to find a taller tank/cabinet for them so they can climb higher and dig deeper.
