It's funny how when somebody is doing the flower quest, they just go for it and they get hit and they have to do it all over again. I just find a path, kill everything, and then I do the quest.
I have just created the least scary path that I could think of, leave dreamgate near Ze'mer (Or whatever they are called), and did it second try. (Btw not having full map can really make this difficult, even if you go easier route)
As much as blue might have regretted his early routing choices, it was really cool to watch both of you traverse such different paths through the game. I hope you do more bingo lockouts with other streamers!
Honestly, the casual conversations were so relaxing to listen to. The whole thing was so incredibly entertaining the 40 minutes went by in a breeze. For other iterations having more crossing paths and goals with fighting potential would be fun for obvious reasons. The thing is, if both don't have the same goal (for example both needing to kill a boss for something) then there isn't a reason to fight, since the time you spend is also time you can't work on your own goals; which makes me wonder what 3 or even 4 person bingo would look like. Or what if it's a relay race? be it the any% route, through godhome or other goals. Basically both got the exact same goal and compete to who completes it first, they then get a point. Then both try to complete the next goal against each other again.
@@Firefly256 the concern there is it adds in a possibility of the bingo being theoretically incompletable because both kill each other enough that they simply can't complete enough squares. some are repeatable, such as collect 4 rancid eggs, but the majority are one time things like the dreamers that once you do, you can't do again if you lose the square

Hey fireb0rn, I’ve been watching your channel for a while and had a video idea I wanted to share. After watching this video as well as your 2 speedrunner vs 2 speedrunner video from a year ago, it got me thinking: I feel like the races/pvp races with less defined routes are very fun to watch, since it means the speedrunners have to play creatively and take risks. So doing a bingo as speedrunner vs hunter, or even as teams might be really fun. Alternatively, if not bingo, any speedrun with room for a lot of creativity in the route could work. Something less optimized like all charms, or better yet “first to 30 charms” (or any number) to add lots of flexibility and make it a less tedious run overall. I also think player’s getting different charms throughout the run would make pvp interactions more interesting since players would have different strengths and weaknesses at any given time. There would still be coveted locations like sly and salubra that players could guard, but it would be less campy since it’s not 100% required to win. (I’m not sure the best way to contact you, so youtube comment it is lol)

This was a super fun video lol. One thing that would've made it a little crazier is more players--I know too many players sharing one bingo card could make things too chaotic, but I do think a 4-way lockout bingo could be lots of fun, with more competition for squares, since especially by the end, there was a lot of ceding of squares just based on the tools the two of you had available. And I imagine there'd be more PvP, too--you and Blue didn't really run into each other all that much lol
Whenever Hollow Knight speed runners are playing, I can just imagine everyone crying because it's a beautiful game and they want you to enjoy it instead of speed running it
I was SO hoping for you both trying to dodge each other and parry Revek for like half an hour with no success, with 12 goals done each, too bad it didn't happen that way. :D
