Wise is great. I signed up for it and used it to pay a lawyer in Thailand for a consult on possibly moving there. I also got the Wise card. Saved a lot compared to Xoom (Paypal service), which is cheaper than my bank, which was crazy expensive. It worked great. So I second that advice and I'm not an affiliate either 🙂 Thanks for this video. These are the details I've been looking for. And really appreciate that you referred your realtor and mentioned which bank you use - details other vloggers don't seem to want to share, which we need.

I watched almost all of your videos from the time you came here to the Philippines until you were stranded in Siargao Island due to the covid-19 pandemic. It was a blessing in disguise to you because more Filipinos enjoyed your blogs thus, your subscribers have increased, compared to other countries in Asia, English is our second official language. Filipinos are more hospitable and friendly, almost all the goods you need are cheap, there are many beautiful sights and places to enjoy. In view thereof, you decided to become a permanent residents and bought 2 condominiums for both of you live. Congratulations! I hope you have a better and happier stay in our country. My experience with Megaworld is very bad. Years of delay, ineffective handover process, very rude back office support other then CS, very confusing communications and very often ignoring client's inquiry. The worst I ever experienced in buying properties.

Not being general. We went to 8 different condo complexes in Cebu City, in all areas. All were overpriced shoeboxes, especially the $500k one.

Just came from Philippines a few days ago. I don't know if was just me, but it's like I saw Mike walking the streets of BGC 😆. After watching this video, I'm seriously considering buying a condo in the philippines. I know the inconvenience of not having a place to stay in Manila. Hotels can be costly. This video is very insightful. I'm looking into getting a condo in the BGC area as well since I like how the shops and restos are just walkable. Also BGC has a youthful vibe.

As long as the location is developing and economically getting bigger. It is a good location to invest and buy property. That's just BGC is right now. From just a barren grassland to now a global city. Its not yet at its peak. Still has a lot of potential. So it really is about the location when it comes to investments.

buying a condo is allow to foreigndr as your own property only a room or block but not the lot and the whole condo.

We bought a condo in Davao city,Worst mistake of our lives! We chose the 3rd floor in a 6 floor building we could hear running,walking,things dropping on the floor and doors slamming above us.Our mistake was we thought we could live in a condo here but all they are used for here our noisy renters! Nightmare.We sold it and will never buy a condo again

Condos in cebu are a big ripoff. Overpriced, poorly thought out shoeboxes. You can buy a larger house in the suburbs with 3x times the space of a one bedroom condo at 1/3 the cost of a condo. You can take a taxi into cebu city every day and the monthly fare is well below the cost of a monthly car payment. Buyer beware. Getting a house is a much better option.

Megaworld is not the best developer. Substandard materials were used for their condos, even before turn over the tiles are already chipping off and your electricity and water is overcharged compared to neighboring condos.

Now they are trying to sell the condo and until now no one is buying the property. Selling property in the Philippines are so hard, because Manila is so saturated of condominiums.

There is a 40/60 rule for condos. Foreigners can own up up 40% of a condo building or development.

This couple is smart as they will leverage their nearly 600,000 subscribers and high viewership to showcase their AirBnB. Word of mouth from their subscribers will attract more potential guests. I estimate they'll charge at least $3K pesos per night and won't have problems booking their unit fully throughout the year at a net return of 8.5%. In 12 years they'll get their full return on investment.

And here’s the things that I observed you both, (in my opinion, ) you’re trying looking for a condo specially in Makati side and in BGC (where people are interested which is good 👍🏻 ) and I’m not really sure if you really bought a condo?! Hmmm and First and foremost we didn’t know what was is really true or real or agreement you have between the seller and you guys, ‘Couse the only thing that you showed us is you got the condo key 🔑 ( but we didn’t see the papers works) any client can or buyers can show us a key. That we really don’t know if it is really the of the condo ?! Or whatever And without showing us if you really buy it?! Or you just wanted to be part of a real state through your RU-vid channel and the people who are watching your vlog. You guys are soooo awesome 👏

Honesty is the best policy. If they said they bought it and I believe it. These are credible people. I have a property in California and the value doubled in 6 years and there’s no way in hell that I will publish the deeds and papers in social media. First of all its none of your business. This video is just showing you how to purchase a condominium legally with the help of a realtor.

The best for all of you foreigner, who aren’t sure if you live in a very long year in Philippines 🇵🇭! Don’t buy it any property. To avoid any regrets and it will not be a nice and it’s isn’t be a good reputation for our own country and the people! Renting is a good idea specially you guys who loves to travel around the world.it’s really hard for you to buy a property in a country who aren’t used to stay in one place! hmmm 😭😭😭😭

Yeah buddy i respect your opinion but in terms of mike and nelly they have a permanent residency.. long term rental or short term rental.. Whatever.. Own a condo or not.. Not staying or comeback in the 🇵🇭.. no regrets nothing to lose and it doesn't follow.. Important thing is they have acquired permanent residency in the 🇵🇭.. Period..
