After nearly 3 YEARS since the release of Black Ops 4 Zombies, many have speculated and wondered what the purpose of strange secret rooms on each map were for. In this video with the help of Serious YT, we have used decompiled game scripts to finally explain how these rooms work, and officially open all of them in actual gameplay for the first time. I really hope you enjoy this video as much as I did finally getting "closure" on these mystery secret rooms in Black Ops 4 Zombies!

Just spitballing here but the secret room on voyage could be the room from the opening cinema that shows the cultist looking over the files of the playable characters. They had to put it somewhere and it's about the right size.

Just no. Unfortunately, there was the issue with Sledgehammer's COD, so they had to cut a lot of plans. Also, DLCs probably did not sell millions of pcs.

I feel a good super Easter egg reward could have been of having the option of enabling Golden PaP for all of the maps depending on which Easter eggs you complete. Since Chaos exist they could have made it so that competing all of the Chaos Easter Eggs give you the ability to enable "Exalted Pack a Punch" (reference to the Exalted God Hands in Ancient Evil since you upgrade them through the PaP) which would act as the Chaos version of Golden Pack a Punch where you upgrade your weapon fully for 5000 points only available in the Chaos maps. Meanwhile completing all of the Aether Easter Eggs would allow you to enable Golden PaP on all Aether maps.

I think Voyage of the Damnned’s room is the room used during the open cinematic for the map. Where it all starts. Hence the name of the room.

Titanic happens, revealing one of the 4 Avengers is possessed by aliens. 3. Avengers do drugs in a cave and dream of getting decapitated. 4. Possessed Avenger murders another and makes him possessed, turns out daddy got kidnapped by Medusa and turned into a fancy statue, daughter is sad. 5. Cancelled

If they had left Chaos for Cold War and didn't try to start a new story before ending the old one, then it would have worked out alright. I know BO4 was missed potential, and had some empty promised, but as a game, for what is it, I enjoy it more than BO3 and it's DLCs if you exclude mod tools and Chronicles because that's not a fair comparison as BO4 wasn't gonna get those

Love the video! I think Baphemet's Entry door was meant to have a portal behind it, because that's what that map was all about... So maybe the room is elsewhere on the map as a seperate entity as meant to be travelled to using a portal?

What if there was an item in each room so let’s say you get all the ones from chaos story (I know it doesn’t make much sense with the no secret door on dotn but maybe they scrapped it by then) and they carried over and if you bring them all to IX you can place them on the podium get a super boss fight and do the same on the aether maps but on tog to put them in

I thought the theory for the secret door was that it was going to hold golden PAP as a super ee reward but it was never finished. This was supported by the fact there wasn't a door on tag, but I didn't know there wasn't one on DOTN. Would have been a great reward though.

I figure the same that a lot of others do Ya open the door and collect an item and then finish the game (like the worms from the last one) and you'd get an icon and when u have all of them you can use them on a specific map related to the story line and get to see something new or maybe it'd just give you a special starting weapon as well as extra written lore

I like to play bo4 (my pfp lul) the only thing that holds me back is whenever im in a game and come across all the content like this, and i get that gut feeling knowing it will never be finished. It had a really strong start, and at the time i never really payed attention till after its life cycle on how much it was frowned upon. Was really one of the few people who enjoyed it.

Same here. I think the main reason it flopped was due to how buggy it was at launch along with all of the balsy gameplay changes. Because of this it was easy for RU-vidrs to hate on the game and it just kinda turned into one giant bandwagon of people despising it w/o giving it a chance. Shame too, because if Bo4 had succeeded like Bo3 did, Activision wouldn’t have pulled the plug on it and we certainly would’ve had more interesting content added to the game.

Maybe each room was supposed to have golden PaP, which would make sense as to why Tag doesn't have a room, because it already has golden PaP on the map

I get the impression that these cut rooms were intended to be something of a collect-a-thon for a hidden bonus cutscene of some kind. The rooms serve no gameplay purpose outside of environmental storytelling without knowing the intent of the devs, so I shall do my utmost to try and figure it out from my own mapmaking experience; Blood of the Dead's cut room looks like it might have contained some form of document or evidence of experimentation on inmates. Classified's looks as though it may have contained a power-themed puzzle of some kind. IX's looks as though it may have been an item-themed puzzle of some kind. Voyage's looks as though it may have served a similar purpose to BotD's, since the layout looks like a very fancy bedroom of some kind. DOTN's looks as though it was planned to contain a small mausoleum of some kind, possibly a miniature scavenger hunt or some similar puzzle. Ancient Evil's looks as though it may have been a single item pickup (or a reconstruct-a-body themed puzzle). Alpha/Omega's isolation cell might have been the end point, probably finding an NPC, going from the lack of detail in the cell aside from just looking like an isolation cell, and assuming you went in order of DLC release.

Maybe in each room there was a piece to grab. Grab from all maps to start zombies with a wonder weapon?

I would have loved Golden Pack a Punch to be in all the maps maybe in those rooms after completing all the Easter Eggs. Doubt it could have fit in all the rooms though
