Just saying I have had this car until recently when the car caught on fire and I loved this car, but he is right about the reliability of the car. It is probably the best first car but watch for oil leaks. It is safe, fast and comfortable inside but not reliable. If you are getting this car be prepared because unfortunately this was a surprise birthday present and also a mistake. It was sad to see it go in such a rough way. The car might also not have any issues then all sudden bang and the car is on fire.
Hahaha yes this is what happens when you collaborate with BMW. Your car around this year is probably the first release of psa x bmw engine with turbo. Do you know why it caught fire? This is the first I've heard of this.
One thing about peugeot design with this engine is the intake. It runs to the back to the air filter, and then loop back to the front, and then join with the turbo, and then go through the intercooler. You can remove all that and get a mold that will plug the intake straight to the turbo.
@@JosesGarage101 it comes with both. Turbo version uses psa x bmw design ep6 / prince engine 1.6L but only sport version has 6 gears auto trans else it's 4. Manual is the best choice with 5 gears. Added info. the turbo is actually a twin scroll design.
The engine in this car is similar to my 1 series. The Prince family. Thou mines a turbo charged 1.6. I change my oil ever 8-10k km :) I must admit this is a good looking car in this colour. Keep up the cool content. Rooaaaaar,🦁
My first car was also 2010 VTI which I bought 2 months ago for 3000€. Little overpriced but I liked the test drive so much I had to buy it. Now 2 months later I've been forced to repair things for 1600€ already haha.
@@Manpeace im fortunate enough that i only had to repair a torn alternator belt in 10months i had it. Your case sounds like a nightmare, what went wrong?
@@stwopid To be fair small things due to recommendations from my first service at 180000km. But the most expensive part at around 850€ was the thermostat replacement due to engine at lowest temp at all time + no heat in the cabin and I live in Stockholm and the winter is coming in a couple of weeks. ;)

Opel astra? What it is? Do you mean the British Vauxhall Astra? Or is it the Australian Holden Astra? I dont know. Maybe you mean the Buick Excelle. What is Opel?
The Astra is an Opel. They were also assembled in the UK by Vauxhall, and some were shipped to Australia and the US where they got Holden or Saturn badges. Opel of Germany is the original designer and manufacturer though.
I just got a 2012 308 pug automatic for a first car as just passed my test. I got a diesel 1.6 eco automatic how is the diesel version of this car and year?
@@drakensangbg6501 oh okay that’s good to know it’s got 70k mileage on the clock is that an okay mileage you think for a diesel? As no nothing about cars. The car had one owner all its life and has all service history and it’s mechanical all sound hope it stays that way. The car has been well looked after clean in an out. I only aim to have the car for 3 years to get my insurance lower.
@@johndosh6832 french diesel engines are top-notch, usually, they have higher mileage because on long roads they are way more economical than petrol engines. If you take good care of your car in the long run you won't have any problems. Enjoy your french lion :)
