I love flowers and would have a million at my wedding if I could. Hahaha. But having a lot of flowers can get quite pricey. What do you think of having high quality silk flowers with some real ones mixed in?
Silk can sometimes cost as much as real, although they can be reused in the future. I would avoid them in highly photographed pieces like the bridal bouquet or any pieces that people will be really close to (centerpiece), but for a ceremony arch or aisle arrangements they work quite well!
I have been to weddings where brides DIY their flowers to spend more money in other parts of their weddings. About half of these brides did a terrible job with their flowers. I hope it didn't show in their pictures.
I've had a few weddings with silk flowers. The bouquets are often pretty obvious unless brides are splurging on higher end silk flowers but even then, close up photos...you can tell. Some people might not care, but they should know what to expect.
My wedding isn’t going to be flower heavy and my mom works at the hobby lobby warehouse so she gets a discount. All my flowers will be 65% off. I wanna be able to make them my own and reuse them later in my house.
