I may not be the biggest fan of insects, but I still enjoy watching you play this game. Even though it bugs me a little bit.

Some ant trivia and stuff- Almost all of the colony in ants, bees, wasp, Hornets, etc. Are female except the drones. (Drones in ants look very wasp like, only queens and drones have wings. Termites are both male and female though.) Weaver ants use the silk from their Larve as glue to hold leaves together and create domes for the colony to live in. Some ant species don't have a desired Queen so they will have a Gamergate as the alpha female for a certain period of time so she and her sisters will fight and contest for the role (they must have drones come by their nest to mate.) Some ant speices can actually accept to have more than one queen. Crazy black ants (and I think some other ant species) don't have nuptial flights (unlike most ants who require these flights for mating) and instead breed within the colony as the main mother queen when producing drones they aren't technically related to her and only get the father's genes so the future queens can mate with their step brothers. This game is unbelievably satisfying in terms of both an RTS as well as a documentary. For people hesitating or unsure of if they should get this game or not (even in early development), it is totally worth it 100%. Your video's of this game got me into it and I am more supportive of this project than most I have seen in years.

When you saw the trap jaw ants flying backwards, their jaws are actually able to fling themselves in the air, which is why they were always doing that when they were attacking.

I know you and most people probably dont care, but a fun fact is that the queen doesnt actually decide anything in the colony. From the moment she has her first workers, her only job is laying eggs. That is also why she is the most important.

Doesn't look like there is some high level tactics. And splash damage seems to be forgotten in this game. :D

Baron, the enemies aren't pushing back the ants its just an ability the trap jaw ants have - when they take a certain amount of damage they zoom backwards so they die slower

Barron just saying a few tips: One, all ants in a group will patrol from the pheromones marker to the queen but they will all meet on it when you first place the marker Two, trap-jaw ants will fling themselves out of combat when at a certain amount of health, healing in the process

And the “traps” are called “Tiger Beetle Larvae”, (baby tiger beetles). And if you fight the giant Whip-spider again, try surrounding it by sending different squads through different tunnels you dug, and then ambush it from there.
