Queen Maxima seems to have the largest choise of tiaras from the Dutch Royal collection. Being somewhat biased, she is the most beautiful of all the ladies rivaled only by Queen Letizia.
Thornback... For me and while I do love it... The Brazilian Aquamarine is not my top choice... I long to see The Duchess of Cambridge ...Catherine... wear the Queen Alexandra's Kokoshnik Tiara, which is certain one of two favorites of The Queen. This is most unlikely... to happen for many years...
@@hotoneinspai I think the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara would look amazing on Catherine. It is one of Her Majesty's favorites so Catherine may not want to use it often when she and William have the top job. Perhaps Charles will loan it to her once she is Princess of Wales. It is too delicate looking to suit Camilla. She looks better in the larger, taller tiaras like the Greville Honeycomb. Unfortunately, tiaras are only worn on state occasions, usually only banquets, these days so we don't get to see them often. It's a shame really.
You can adjust the speed of the video (slow it down or speed it up) by going into the Settings feature at the upper right hand corner of the video box. I set it at 50% speed for this video.
I guess this is limited to tiaras that are still worn, bec the Alexandra, the last Tsarina , of Russia had one that was bigger than these. Of course, there is no longer royal family in that country and the tiara 👑 I’m thinking of, probably no longer exists, but there are pictures of the empress wearing that ginormous thing.
OMG Yes Queen Silvia certainly did... the same with Queen Maxima BUT there hair is almost too much...The Queen with the perfect amount and thickness of hair is Queen Sonja from Norway...Sonja has ...Perfect real Tiara Hair... The President and people of Brazil gave the Queen a necklace and earrings of aquamarines and diamonds for her coronation in 1953. In 1958, they added to the set by giving her a bracelet and large brooch to match. HM The Queen has also added to the set, commissioning her tiara from Garrard in 1957 This design was substantially changed again by Garrard in 1971. Also The Delhi Durbar Tiara, which actually is a complete circlet...making it technically a Royal Diadem ...was topped with the large Cabochon Emeralds and was fitted with both the Cullinan III and IV making it...of huge value...almost priceless. This is the largest Tiara in the British Collection, and it is huge... It was made especially "big" by Garrard... to be seen... Because it was made to be showcased at the Delhi Durbar in 1911. The Durbar was showcasing the new King ... George V and new Queen, Mary as Emperor and Empress of India. His Majesty The King also had to have a "new" Crown as the British Royal Crown Jewels can not leave Britain.
Everything went by too fast to either read the captions or get a really good look at the tiaras. There is a lot to look at in them; anyone making videos with important visuals like this needs to give the viewer time to take them in.
Exactly! Which is why I went into the "Settings" feature and turned the speed down to 50%. It is found in the upper right corner of the video box. You can adjust the speed, slower or faster. (Of course it also slows down the audio/music, but in this case I didn't care.)

And the events to which they are worn usually happen at and indoors. Except for a few events like weddings. Even then they are only seen outside for a short time as they come and go .

I like the Dutch Sapphire the best. Beautiful shape and lovely stones. And the Greville the least. Camilla wears it and it looks like a length of barbed wire on her.
No, they are not "crowns." No queen is crowned with any of them. For all but one, they do not circle the entire head but only the front of the head and therefore are tiaras. The one that does circle the entire head is a diadem.
The emerald necklace and other pieces to that set were a gift given to Queen Elizabeth upon her coronation. That is hardly stolen. Quite a few were also sold on the international market. How does that constitute theft? The money from the sales probably did not benefit the citizens, except for the rich landowners or the corrupt politicians. However that is still not theft by those who legitimately bought them.
