That entrance to the cabin is ridiculous. All they have to do is extend that into the top of the cabin. That extended windshield area is a total waste of utility as well. Great prototype, but a long, long way to go to maximize utilization of available space.
The claustrophobia comment is hilarious with NO WINDOWS! Couldn't they have added a couple of portholes for a hint of daylight?? Also, "less maintenance compared to a sportfish" is pretty funny with 4 engines and a generator, when a proper sportfish has only 2 engines and a generator, yet offers proper luxurious interior spaces, 2 or 3 real staterooms, and many of them will still do close to 50 instead of 60. Which one would you want to be on when the weather gets nasty offshore??
@@dylantello124 Many reasons. Better fishing boat, smooth ride, more economical, faster, looks better… That HCB is a dog. I think it tops out just over 50
Question for @yellowfin... On the big fish box that is in the rear with 2 openings on each end, why wouldn't you have a lid that spans the entire length???? It looks like it would be very hard to get a monster fish to both slide in and also to get out once in.
How bout the new Merc 600hp V12? Also the new V10 for your smaller boats. You can put 5 V12s on a 15 foot beam that's 3000hp or one more for 3600hp. 2speed transmission w/duoprop drive for stronger holeshot and the gearcase doesn't move. V12 price is around $75-80k.
Sounds like they are part of Volvo Penta now but haven’t seen many boats with them in Alfreds videos guess mercury and yamaha are making a good enough outboard to complete in that market $$$
@@slange455 they've been part of volvo, volvo just announced that they are trying to be emission free by 2050 so they are discontinuing 7 marine. Reason most boats don't have them is that it is a very high end buyer niche market for them at 100k an engine. Also you can go anywhere in the world and find a yamaha certified mechanic, but one thats trained with 7 marine is hard to find anywhere and usually are flown in to do work
If your gonna buy a boat like this, youd be better off getting the Viking Valhalla 55. Its a much better boat than this one is. The cabin on the Valhalla is especially better. Just fyi.
Such a great review. Awesome video bro. Does anyone know of a good review video of the Scout 355 LXF? My wife and I are interested in buying one, but good videos on the boat are hard to find honestly.
