There are 2 forms of freestyling, 1- is 'coming off the top' that just means you rhyming whatever on the spot, rappers like Common and Harry Mack are really good at this. 2- is a pre written verse that isn't attached to any particular song (throw away rhymes) most rappers take this approach when they are freestyling on the radio. All these verses that Big done on this freestyle were never attached to any song, the last verse ended up Being on the Song 'Notorious' with Puffy and Lil Kim but this was after BIG had passed.

It was all one story Dex. He robbed/killed the guy, the guys homies got payback, but he survived, and verse 3 is him celebrating in the hospital. I don' think it was a freestyle. He wrote in his head, memorized it, and then spit it. The 3rd verse was used on his posthumously album.

not writing and freestyle is not the same thing, when he and jay z say they don't write , that means they compose it in their mind over time you create 4 bars recite to yourself then later on add another few bars and u recite it to yourself till its in the memory bank, this definitely wasn't a freestyle
