Man, it's some beautiful scenery in Montana... would be great to sit on a front porch and just talk about literally anything with a very veteraned local.
Beautiful ride down memory lane. My late husband and I lived just west of Missoula and we took these roads together many, many times. Tom passed and I moved away. It's nice I can open up RU-vid and take these trips again . . . and remember.
Retired from otr driving, all 48 states. I knew that i shouldn't watch this video but i didnt listen to myself and now i miss being on the road even worse. Once you start seeing whats out there while getting paid to do it,you will never get it out of your system. This must be a pretty new rig,its so quiet! The only thing that i dont miss are the chicken coops. I hope that you make more videos like this.
I watched this with the sound off whilst listening to a motivational video by Joe Rogan to encourage myself to cross the ocean to drive that road myself. One day soon, I'll do it.
In nine days this will be five years ago (the video was posted on here). I love watching this video. I do hope this driver revisits some time. It is very interesting. I especially like the small scene where he passes through Paradise Montana. It is such a scenic place and the small town is so interesting. I wish he could stop at that place but there would probably be no room there for his truck! LOL. The people who live there are so lucky!
Mario M It is a nice scenery. I am a German trucker and trucking for more than 30 years all over Europe, have been in more than 25 European countries. I have seen this continent. Europe has overwhelming beautiful places. i You obviously have never seen Norway. 80% of Norway looks nicer than the nicest places of this video. Scenes like after 1:00:00 of this video you can see all over the country there. Half a meter, sometimes less than, the mountains are almost vertical, on the other side is often a river, a lake or even a big Fjord with the mighty whales. Hundreds of tunnels and hairpin serpentiens are a challenge for every trucker. Not to forget the fantastic auroras in winter months. Not Norway alone, Romania, Switzerland, North Italy, South France too, the pyrennes in Spain and France, the canyons in Spain ( not as long as the Grand Canyon, but even as beautiful as ) are fantastic eyecatcher. No, US landscapes are nice, but not way prettier. Think at the heart land states like Kansas. yes, there are as boring places in Europe too like Northern Germany.
I've driven that route a lot and love the peaceful nature of that initial stretch from Flathead Lake to Plains. I live west of Plains about an hour downriver. Just found this video when I was trying to describe the area to a friend. We were on the phone (she is in AZ) and I told her stories about all the places along the route as we watched it together. Thank you so much for posting this video. Awesome! :)
8:32 This is the most beautiful video i've ever seen, it's almost never sunny here in ireland... when i die i want my ashes to be scattered scross the grasslands right here somewhere on a beautiful sunny day to the left there somewhere
Does he even have a load or is he just taking us on a sightseeing drive, my God now I know why they call it Big Sky Montana. I want to move here and buy a ranch
Beautiful country for sure...I thought you was headed north the whole time. Always stop at St. Regis on my way back to Butte. Kids love looking at the fish in the gas station. Thanks for sharing! 🍻
RandyXB9R funny. I’m a ltl driver but I’m in the market for a tractor and trailer to run my own authority. I’m in Southern California and want to run loads to Nevada and Arizona but occasional runs to Montana cause my girlfriend is from their. I’ve been seeing international prostars going for 10,000 with 200,000 miles only or should I get a Freightliner for 30,000 and 600,000 miles on it but I’d have to make payments. I have money in a business account already for backup. But if I bought the international I’d have no payments. Hope you can help me out a little about my decisions. Regards
Montana, owh how much a I would love to visit Montana. No I woulnd't fly from Europe to the states to see NY or Vegas or LA, I would go to montana and enjoy small town america and the americana scenery along the many long road over hills mountains and plains... Owh I wish I could... thank you for giving me sort of an opportunity here.
Would you say right here at 5:15 is the EXACT i mean 10% te same view you would have had if you were driving that road in the 70's? it's the most beautiful view I've ever seen. You're in a proper mountain valley all the way down.... Man it's my dream to live somewhere under bigsky like that.... sun, clear sky.. mountains... desert... ffs i live in southern ireland, nothing but wind and rain all year around, im sick of it... omg 0:34 is that an actual road going up through those hills over there? you see the straight cut? or is that just a grass path? what i wouldn't love to be tere now just strolling around. It's the 9th June here in Waterford in ireland, apparently the hottest time of year, it's 13 degrees celcius outside at 9:18pm, feels like it's about 10 degrees celsius, it's been COMPLETELY overcast and 10mph winds ALL day every day the last week. I havn't seen the sun peep hrough the clouds once for f*cks sake. I'm sick of this. I suffer from TERRIBLe seasonal depression, and te fact it's the middle of summer now and it's been like winter outside the last week... man... even wen the sun is coming through it's only 50% of the time, there has been LITERALLY ZERO clear find days this year. ZERO. There's heavy cloud cover and it's always very windy. I need out. I need out honestly or im gonna put myself out. No joke.
