Thanks for doing this. I’ve been trying to find a tutorial on setting up the dual x motors using the e1 stepper driver and your video was really helpful. Much more than just a review.
Thanks for that , been struggling to find the info for Z-tilt for my SKR 2 in my 5+ , now I will be able to move forward and get it onto the Pad7, thanks
Love your videos, I got my first 3D printer a month ago (Ender 5+) used for cheap in Facebook. Played with it stock for one week because I found your video and now I’m all in Klipper, made the fan modifications and all; it’s been amazing. Thank you so much for all your videos. Any chance you can talk about your print head different print heads what to look for? Direct drive and all that? Have not found much information that’s concise online. Thank you and great work!
Hi, I have just purchased a btt SKR3 EZ to my Ender 5 Plus and found error of ”Unable to read tmc uart 'stepper_y' register IFCNT" during install klipper firmware. I have found that there is no voltage supply to EZ2209 Vio pin and do a 3.3v jumpper for it, the problem is solved for axis x, y and extruder but Z remain the same. Another issue happened as the stepper motor comes out with sound like fan, the home function is not working. The arrangement of the stepper motor wire is remain the same as the previous board. Hope you can give me some clue on what happened to the board. Thank you
Hi, I also have an ender 5+ printer and I would like to convert it to SKR 3+ clipper, my question is what did you replace the touch screen with? I couldn't find a video above about what the display was and what you replaced it with. Thanks for the answer.
I use a TFT35, I go over the installation in this video. That said, you can use the stock 5+ display. The information on that can be found in the second link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T5TGLleu3MA.html github.com/tinyfluffs/Klipper-Ender-5-Plus#touchscreen-display
Hello, I'm trying to follow your configuration of this printer and I cannot seem to get it working properly. I'm a noob at this so I was going at this the easiest way possible. First thing I noticed was there is no "klipper_configuration" folder, instead it uses "printer_configuration" folder. I'm not sure how much of a difference that it makes. I made sure to change the serial port and I still cannot connect. However in the log it says it cannot detect it but in the file the serial is correct.
Klipper had an update since this video was made so the steps may look a little different. Printer_configuration is the right folder. Since you can't connect, did you make sure to flash the klipper.bin file to the skr3 after renaming it to firmware.bin?
@@EB3DPrinting Yes I remembered it changed to .CUR. If I don't drop the configuration files and use the printer.cfg file that's already in there it works fine but there's no info on it really other than the serial port.
@@cyberikan ok that makes sense then. I have a lot of extra stuff in my config that could be throwing flags. It would more than likely be the [mcu rpi] section causing issues. I would take the default config, then work through add add in what I have in mine
It uses the eva 2.4 parts except the faceplate. I modified that to work with the ender 5 www.printables.com/model/172173-ender-5-plus-universal-face-for-eva-v24-system
I have switched over to silicone bed spacers. They work great, I rarely adjust the bed any more. Just make sure for the 5+ you get the set that is all the same height
Hi , I like update my ender 5 plus for print ABS and ASA filament I am near to buy the SKR3 EZ and I want stay with old display DWIN , you have idea to make this with Marlin? if I go to Kliper display is not needed ?
Actually good news for you is there is a way to keep the stock display and make it work with klipper, I'm going to buy setting that up myself to give it a try
@@EB3DPrinting Next a short search i think use a atom laptop and not buy sk3 but i can use old mainboard! Klipper is fantastic !!!The display not need because i can connect from remote http interface!
