The reason it's harder to powerslide is because it has a lot more traction... Since when is that bad? It''s a different technique to riding, and it means once that way of riding is mastered, it's a shit load faster than most quads out there.
@rblbsktbll I have a 700XX with barker big 3 and there is no way i can get the thing much above 80mph. I'm 220 lbs. What have you done to the quad to get these claimed speeds???
@rblbsktbll i'd like to see your paper work and proof of these speeds. I have exhaust, intake, and fuel programmer and my quad would never go that fast. You engines rev limiter would kick in before reaching those speeds unless you changed gear ratios to run taller.
So, I still won races on my 700xx in the open class without using power slide! In the Baja 500 & 1000 the 700xx already won the Baja first year it came out.
@@blam7 You still young enough to ride the masters division. The sport need you in the field. Mx is coming back better than ever before. You're the Sweet M aka Sweet Mx
You guys need to look at where this vid is coming from...$12,000 AUSTRALIAN dollars, not US DOLLARS. LMAO As another posted, these MSRP for $8699 in the US, can be bought right now for $4500 all across the US...clearance priced. I'm itching to buy one for that amount...great bike for a used price.
the trx700 is a beast on the trails. It's much harder to slide around turns than a straight axle. I have had mine for 6 years now and still rides like new. I'm not sure where they come up with this 9 second quarter mile. My Hayabusa won't even do that at the drag strip.
I raced a Ninja 600 stret bike and blew it away. I passed a XP 900 on sand hiway hiway over 80 according to his speedo. L8ton swaybar makes a ton of difference.
Not in Ga they have them on sale for 6,940 just telling you what they told me in the email they aren't selling at these hard times so they are on sale I guess
@rblbsktbll Well i know for a fact that your trx will not run a quater mile in 6 seconds. Maybe mid 15's if your lucky, mainly because of your top speed. I can guarantee that your atv will not break 100mph. probably not even 90mph. It may get to 60mph pretty quickly but after that its all down hill.
Yea, right. A Hayabusa doesn't even run that low of a 1/4 mi. time. It runs in like 9.89 and there's no way that heavy s.o.b. can do it in nine seconds.maybe an 1/8 of a mile.
The straight-axle is easier to pitch-around and slide and it tends to track straighter through whoops and it's lighter in weight...BUT the clearance, independent suspension and overall travel gives back in other areas. It's not a track quad, get a 450R if you want that. Should it come as any surprise that you give-up some things to get others? This is an open-class desert screamer or trail bike, not a lightweight zippy motocross tracker. That last thing it is, is a piece of sh!t
the 700xx raptor honda in my country it was transported from US. and the price is fucked up ,cause for that $ i can buy a new one :) ,but i really don't understand why yamaha 450 gytr have 55hp with sport double exhaust and everything else stock and they say 700xx have 54hp or raptor 700 SE have 60hp ,but i don't think so :)
Well seems like alot of you idiots think the 700xx is a POS because its not the fastest.............well lets see, its not a 450r DUH! The 700xx was built for the purpose of long, harsh, nonstop riding in rough area's like dessert and wood. Its engine design is built for torque....not speed. Do a little research on the quad and what its design purpose was intended for. Put a soild axle quad against a 700xx in a gncc harescramble event and we'll see who dogs it then.
Too bad a basic and simple 400EX is simpler, more reliable, far lighter, and is better and faster through trails. About the only plus is the fuel injection on the 700.
