@THEREALZENFORCE a lot of very fancy cars in there. Some of the more normal ones are still around 11.2sec same as a f800r I was hoping the sv650 was around 12.85 sec or 3.9sec 0-60mph

You talked about sports cars and not normal cars : The Porsche Turbo S is a 200k sports car, the Corvette C8 Z06 is a 150k sports car, the Dodge Demon SRT is a 100k muscle car, The Tesla Model S Plaid a 90k family Sedan. The 150k Byd U9 Yangwang is also a sportscar that would win in drag racing

@@THEREALZENFORCEsv is more around 12 secs on the quarter not 14.4 and costs about 6k its beating the likes of golf r’s m140i rs3 etc out the box which isn’t to bad even the fastest stock superbikes don’t touch modern supercars nowadays most bikes struggle to get into the 9s even the high end ducatis BMWs Kawasaki h2 etc

@@joeblow5037 they all run out of puff up top saw a clip on the Suzuki 100-200 kph was about 20 seconds when the mt09 ktm 890r etc are around 5-6 seconds

Same thing with my 1100 Tuono Factory, it "only" has 177hp but the way it handles twisty roads makes it almost unbeatable. Also high speed stability is the best I've ridden on any naked bike so far.

@@SNAPZ46 yeah I only changed because I got an insane deal on a new S1000RR. I mean it has 207hp and is a dream bike, but on the road you need to be a combination of crazy and very skilled to leave that 660 factory behind. Obviously it would be different on a track, but honestly it would be down to power because the Aprilia really does handle well

so street performance difference almost zero...

I thought about buying one of these but ended up with a hornet which was much cheaper. The Aprilia Tuono Factory sort of sits in a middle ground really between the more budget naked and the premium naked like the 890 and street triple where it would likely come last. I'm sure it's a great machine though 👍

@@paulfowler6665 I wanted the premium handling and tech (IMU based TC / ABS and cruise control, etc) but without too much power, and to that end it fits the bill nicely. I do worry about reliability and build quality a little though...

Both bikes are like that, actually. I think if you're riding either one and there's no trophy to win, you'll be happy as.

In dry conditions I think the Hornet might have had a chance to win but with its smaller rear tire it likely would have finished last.

I can't understand... you can drive on comute and stay under 8000RPM and it rides super soft. Everything is adjustable from mapping to throttle response.

@@sk2283 so true, I still hear that excuse for not buying an Aprilia often. Also they like to lie to themselves about the long wait times for parts and high prices for maintenance when in reality both are not a problem and prices are on par with Japanese manufacturers. I guess it's a way of coping with having to settle for the cheaper bike.

Good call. Sadly the italian brands, and to some extent all euro brands have reliability issues. As long as I'm a one bike man, I'll be riding japanese bikes. But I'd love to have a european bike as a second bike. But I'm not about to have my season ruined because of reliability issues!

Having ridden Honda for the past 8 years, I bit the bullet and got a 21 Tuono V4, and I haven't looked back once. I love it to bits! The power, the noise, the way it makes you feel! Reliability has not been an issue so far 🤞

Yes, true, but i wonder if the new 2023+ Duke 790's assembed in China are better. The Cam lobe wear is bad.

Z900, 765rs, 890r, mt09, monster all of them

F800r was 11.2 1/4 mile it's average for the power of these bikes I wouldn't say there particularly good. 70-90hp is reasonable power vs a lot of cars.

its a nice bike for sure .... but not relevant to this test as it was discontinued 23 years ago ... the MT07 is the successor to the TRX

I will never forget the TRX850 . Don't think that bike was ever about speed or price. Did look cool though I think it was yamaha trying to make a Blue Ducati. Did sound fantastic though.

@@MotoGoato my TRX was a '96, I know its discontinued. I was commenting on the history of parallel twins, cb500 etc., not putting a bike from the 90s in this test

We couldn't get a Hornet, and Aprilia won't officially allow their bikes to be drag raced so we have to get what we can.

​@nicksokolis6343 heavier means it won't wheelie as much thus you can put the power down. I have the 2020 z900 and it pulls like crazy

@@joeplem5329 ive owned 21 mt09 base, and currently 23 mt09sp. Before buying 09sp, i did test drove z900, mt09sp, and new 765rs and my butt dyno says 765r is definitely faster in all area. Mt09 slightly behind and z900 was third from my perspective. I didnt get to test ride 890r. I heard it is just as good as other competition.

@@joeplem5329 putting the weight don on straight lines and turning are 2 different things. There is really no performance benefit to weight.

I think Duke 890 beats them all with z900 close second

Well, let me correct you on one matter first, that Aprilia you saw wasn't RS 660, it's Tuono 660. Now, let me cast my opinion on why they did not put the Z 650 against Tuono 660. • hp difference is too mismatched * Z 650 - 67hp * Tuono 660 - 100hp • The firing order of those two bikes are also different * Kawasaki is the only Japanese factory that doesn't employ 270⁰ crank on their parallel twin bikes, they use traditional 180⁰ crank instead * Aprilia on the other hand uses refined cp2 engine which is also found in their RS 660 that yields immense hp. In short, if they do, that drag race will be too biased in favor of Tuono 660.

@@alphajed7700 Yes but I suspect the Ninja will have the jump (gearing and torque bias), and they may be going faster than you expect by the time the 660 passes.

@xorbe2 if you talk about ZX6R, yes, but ordinary Ninja 650, no.
