Looks awesome! The river and bridge where you were at 6:40-8:10 is right next to the camping I went to almost my whole youth! Did a lot of swimming there. Great place to camp I imagine!
As good a story told, if not better than many of your dad's exploits that I used to follow in the cycling press years ago! I can't wait to see if you share some more riding in the region, bravo!
Amazing! Quick question: do you find the hammock or the bivy more versatile? I'm prepping for some backpacking of my own and would like to get your 2 cents on the matter
The hammock is great but does require 2 trees so is less versatile. I also find that the hammock can be pretty cold without an under blanket which adds a lot to the overall weight you have to carry. A bivvy means you can pitch up pretty much anywhere
Hi!, in the end did you guys actually end up doing the Ardèche-Cevennes bike packing route or was it too rugged for gravel bikes. Thinking of doing it end of Feb on a MTB
How have you found the condensation when using your bivy please Josh? Also which type of Outdoor Research Bivy do you have? Is it the helium? Really enjoying your videos :)
With the bivvy I have been using unless you keep your head out you’re going to get condensation. It’s a pretty old model and not sure it’s purchasable anymore. The newer models have poles and cope better with condensation. Mine is poleless and has a habit of being very close to my face unless I use a baseball cap. Hope this helps
Hi ya awesome video quick question how come I can only watch the videos u have posted in the last couple off days and not view the back collection to catch up on some of y'all other adventures Cheers mark
@@Josh-Reid ok cool I have had a look and says the is no videos on this Chanel which is what I found strange as I know u have but can't seam to watch them unless it's a mix playlist haha
This was last week. As long as you are double vaccinated it is pretty simple getting out to France. You just need the barcode to prove it that you can get from the nhs app. Getting back to the uk is a little more annoying. You need to take a test out in France before you leave and then book a 2 day one for your return.
@@Josh-Reid Many thanks. How easy was it to take arrange these tests and how much? Can you take test kits with or do you have to arrange them in France? How easy was this? I have heard a lot of conflicting information and am thinking it really isn't worth it yet. Did you fly or go by ferry and train or ferry and drive/ride down? It looked a great trip. The Ardeche is beautiful especially around Vallon Pont d'Arc. Looking forward to watching your assault on the Ventoux.
