I always buy secondhand folding bikes wherever possible, however if you are looking for a good value strong & compact folding bike to tour consider Zizzo forte they come highly recommended amzn.to/3tLE3wq
Thanks for showing me what Heaven on earth looks like. The Netherlands got it right when they designed their cities. It's so sad that the United States set up their cities and towns for the automobile instead of their citizens. Great video, hope to see more of Amsterdam. 👍
Love your channel and content. I recall one of your older videos wherein you demonstrated that you don't have to spend a ton of money on a folding bike to have a solid, functioning bike for commuting and touring, which I think is great and helps get more people into cycling on folding bikes.
I love Amsterdam. We went in November last year. I want to go by bike next time. Great videos. I recently bought a second hand folder too, but not as cheaply as yours. Awesomeness.
Thanks for sharing your trip. By visting many places in the netherlands Last Time i recommend also Utrecht, Arnhem or Groningen with less Stress and money you have to keep for your essentials.
Hello! Great video, aaaand Camping Zeeburg! This is my favorite camping in Europe, I was four time in the last ten year. The best thing: goats middle of camping place :) Greeting from Hungary!
Good stuff! Great to see. I've been touring on "normal" sized bikes in various countries for over three decades now, but have just invested in a Dahon foldup. I'm about to "test" tour the bike here in Victoria (out of Melbourne) in April along one of the rail routes. Either along the Murray River, or through Gippsland to Bairnsdale. Here's hoping it goes well! Cheers! 🤠
It's been a while without watching your channel, your quality has improved dramatically my friend!! cheers! Great way to show your expirience, keep it up! (And maybe try to be a bit more healthy with your food haha) Send you good vibes from Uruguay
Cheers mate! Don’t forget to watch the whole playlist here: ru-vid.com/group/PLt2S1vTl1Ergo9xdOVv2zDB5a6IQ187qW&si=vum9XKnheszKQNFf I travel all around the Netherlands + more!
I'm sorry! But as a Dane I may add, that also we have a wonderful place for using bikes in Copenhagen, with special Bike Speedways through town and special bridges for walkers and bikes across our harbor and - canals. And most major roads in Denmark have bikepasses to one or each side. And I also use a Brompton. Finn. Denmark
Cheers Finn! I have been in Copenhagen 10 years ago, a very fine city with lots of bikes. One day I hope to return and ride in Denmark! All the best for your adventures!! 🚲⛺️😎🌴
I find the Dutch bikes interesting, there are the high handlebar city bikes, then the higher ones which really make people sit up straight, then the ones so high it looks like their hands are at chest level! 😄
They are great huh! some of the bikes have huge frames, big wheels, classic cruiser handlebar and luggage racks. Bikes for Dutch is like pick up trucks to Americans!
why do you bring 1 bike to the Netherlands when you can rent a good bike at the campsite for € 13.50 per day Prices bike rental 24 hours - €13.50 48 hours - € 24.00 72 hours - €36.00 96 hours - €46.50 Best regards Frits
In my opinion a Brompton is overrated. The shock absorption is low with is small, narrow tires. And the price is high. Sure you get quality in return. And the gearing system of 3 gear Sturmey Archer hub with 2 derailer gear is not optimal. I prefer a 7 gear Shimano hub or a 14 gear Rohloff. The Shimano I had installed on my Dahon D7 for 450 Euros.
