Belichick lights up whenever he gets to talk about football history, especially when he's around other football lifers. It's always a pleasure to watch.
Bill would be a legendary commentator. All his stories and background and has seen everything football has ever done. 40 mill a year wouldn't be enough
I would love nothing more than to here him in the booth would be a HUGE upgrade over guys like Gary danielson or cris collinsworth would actually provide analysis that fans haven’t heard before
There's some people who think they'll try to get him in the booth with Tom, which is wild to even think about. You see a bunch of people calling the idea of him in broadcasting crazy. Interviews like this show why it's not.
so many people didn't watch that NFL 100 special they were doing in 2019, he was similar to what you see here. when you ask him about the history of the game, he opens up so much it's really cool. the man truly loves the game of football.
I love how everyone is shocked Bill can be so conversational. Us Pats fans know because we've seen him for 20+ years, but it makes me chuckle how non Pats fans think he talks like he does at press conferences all the time. It's just an act folks, he does it to protect the team.
He doesn't give his opponents anything they can use, he doesn't talk to his team via press. Bill doesn't do drama. If you ask him about football that doesn't involve the Patriots game prep you cannot shut him up. He’ll talk your ear off.
Exactly, you know he is a good smart guy when, in all these years, I’ve never seen a major personal attack about him by a former teammate or coach. As Sean McDermott rescinds a 9/11 communication example
Belicheck is the best example of “He doesn’t say a lot, but when he does, people listen”. Every word he speaks the crowd goes silent. Truly an example silent respect
So happy the Army-Navy game is finally being played in NE. I heard the tickets were harder to get than any Pats playoff game. As a Navy veteran I’m rooting for the Middies! 🇺🇸👍
Because he doesn’t like how sensational most journalists are and how they try to spin everything being said. Here, Pat and crew are just wanting to hear about something he loves.
I’ll never get over him spending 15 minutes at a press conference going into the history of long snappers and naming every guy that changed special teams 😂
Belichick is normally close mouthed to the media he doesn’t want to talk about his team and the medias always trying to spin things so they get extra clicks/views. But when you ask Bill honest questions about the game he’ll give you a genuine and passionate response
It's cool to see how he adores the older men in his life. And respects them when they speak to him. We're just used to his press conference face. Or his game face.
If they do I am 100p on board with Vikings snagging him I like our coach I’m happy to keep him but I wouldn’t pass on a goat like Belicheck Immense respect for that man
As Patriot fans,we have grown very accustomed to both the very friendly tone and timber of coach belichick's voice during this convo after every game the past few years. He is a joy to listen to,as is root canal surgery.
New England loves you! Everything came together perfectly, all at the same time. Tom Brady picked in the 6th round, Coach Belichick, and Bob Kraft. There will never be anything like that again. Six Super Bowl wins! Then you have the New England Fans! Best sports fans in the country 🇺🇸
No we did not, I think his time as a GM should be over, but if we land a talent like Jayden Daniels or Caleb we absolutely need Bill to be there to coach them. Our defense is still a a nightmare just don’t give us an offensive threat.
Even before I joined the Army my family and I always watched the Army vs Navy game. We had no service obligation (Uncle served in the Air Force), but we always cheered for Army. The 4th Quarter is always where the action is in this game, one turnover, 3rd down stop can swing momentum in either direction. Yesterday was another testament to that, what a great game between both Academies. GO ARMY BEAT NAVY!!!!!!!!
It’s clear Bill is great at scouting people (the human being) and having great appreciation for what they’re good at, or their good qualities. It reminds me of Phil Jackson, Jackson was much more liberal but he understood people better than any coach.
Bill is a class act, the respect he showed to Coach Corso was so wonderful to watch. Bill will break Schula's record in New England next year when the Pats go 12 and 5 and he will break the record in the playoffs. It's going to be amazing to watch. All you haters keep on hating, it's pathetic.
What a great show with the meeting of the minds of two of the greatest coaches ever. Sadden me that now ESPN spends time making fun of Lee Corso but in his prime nobody could out coach him. Also Bill Belichick 71 year old football brain is amazing to recall every detail of the play of Army/Navy game At least for one moment the ESPN circus show was humbled by one of the great games of college football
This game is very important. With the PAC 12 getting cancelled, probably more important than ever. I don’t care if both of these teams were 0-12, I support it. We shouldn’t let some rich dudes that couldn’t give two shites about us control the outcomes of our favorites sports.
As a foreigner who just happens to be a football fan and comes from a military family this game is very special for one reasons. These young men will go onto that field and "kill" each other to win. Off that field and several years from now they may need to die for each other and they will make that sacrifice. That is what makes this particular college game so special.
There is obviously 2 Belichicks. Bill the coach and Bill the fan. Bill the coach is a steel trap who you couldn't pry an answer from even if the question is "how are you?". The other is clearly in love with the sport and happy to gush about his passion
He’d probably never do it, but I think Coach Belichick should write an expansive history of football. He’s the most knowledgeable football person I’ve ever heard.
@@m-u-hub so why did you bring up general manager if you think he’s not good at it? But you think he’s a good coach lol what was his record before Tom Brady? What is it now after Tom Brady? He’s garbage
As a Jets fan I hate Bill Belichick, but outside of football he seems a like a respectable man. I wish Bill Parcells wouldn’t have pissed him off which made resign as the Jets HC & head to NE…. What could have been
When Bill spoke to Navy he mentioned how they shouldn’t be too upset losing to Army. Hmmm. Wonder who I served with. 😁All the best to everyone and thanks to everyone for their service. Enjoy the game.
Had no one caught on yet? This man is gruff at pressers because HE KNOWS you expect this. Even with his recent struggles with his team, NE will keep him as long as he wants. SIX trophies in 10 seasons good luck accomplishing that with a replacement. Also, all this talk of Belichik going to Carolina?? He would punch Tepper in the face for even making the phone call.
