Any group of guys hanging out at 4:00 am in the morning on a street corner would make me nervous. Black, white, Asian, Native American - whatever - it doesn't matter. It's suspicious.
Also the same girl who got violent with him and hurt him pretty bad in the bathroom. And also the same one who smacked the head phones off his head. Shes a very violent girl but at least it gives him some stand up bits.
@EroticCakes No it isnt, he literally said it on his podcast and she confirmed it. Nia is the one who hits him and hes brought up how that wasnt the only time either. She literally defended her frequent violence toward bill burr on the podcast by saying she was "passionate". I only pray she doesnt hit poor little lola too.
@@nullakjg767 nah your an idiot. You don't know what goes on so you start talkin out your ass about how you want it to be. I pray you get get a medical check up soon
Harlem is much nicer and safer these days than it was back in the 80-90's. If you want good food, go to Sylvias. Best soul food outside of the South. It's been around forever and the founder grew up in South Carolina, so it's traditional southern soul food.
Soul food tastes like shit. That's not your heritage, it's basically intestines and the garbage from the animals your not supposed to eat. I'd rather see a nigga eat McDonald's than eat "Soul Food".
@@deridivisstar884 I sincerely hope you're not black, because being educated by whitey on soul food is just embarrassing for you. Soul food encompasses a wide range of dishes and ingredients. You're telling me that fried fish, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, black-eye peas, collard greens, mustard greens, sweet potatoes, cornbread, grits, hushpuppies, pie and cobbler, mac and cheese, etc. is all "basically intestines and the garbage from the animals your not supposed to eat?" You don't know shit about soul food if you think that every dish consists of fried unwashed assholes and guts. As an experienced and passionate cook, you are rather ignorant on the subject and should think twice before spreading that ignorance. And for the record, it's "you're" not "your" when you want to say "you are."
In one of the podcast, dedicated to passing of Charlie Murphy, he sad, that "Black friends and clothes" bit came from touring with Charlie and Donnell Rawlings (Ashy Larry, I'm rich, biaaaaatch and others). You can feel Charlie joke vibe when he sad about "5 shirts, first sayng Monday, on the weekend he ain't be wearing no shirt" etc.)) You should find that clip, I checked it not so long ago, there are some very good stories)
Thank you for not just reacting but also talking about the topic afterwards. This is what most reactors are not doing and I really enjoyed listening to you. Because I'm from germany, way whiter than bill burr is and know nothing about what bill was talking. So basically I never know if it's really like that or he is just story telling for the laughs. Greetings from Germany.
LOVE YOUR FRED SANFORD SHIRT! My grandma, bless her memory, used to say back in the '70s while watching Sanford and Son with me, "Oh that good old Fred Sanford!"
What up! I actually attend college in Harlem. It’s called the City College of New York. It’s the one that Marvel spoofs in their comics. They call it “Empire State University”. Anywhom. Most of Harlem on the outside is starting to get gentrified but the inside is, an excuse my language, black af. Me being Latino, I mostly grew up knowing the small Latino side of Harlem. The Dominican and Colombian spots etc. but since I started college, I’ve gotten in touch with the black side. The little clubs where you have new artists debut their seemingly strange and odd genres. The community discussions/poetry slams that are held in the basement buildings of an ugly building no one would think even has electricity. Shit like that is Harlem af to me. One of my favorite memories in Harlem was actually watching Black Panther in Magic Johnson theatre on 125th. The amount of Afros and dreadlocks I saw. The colorful ass shirts everyone was wearing. That shit was great and will always stick in my mind. In terms of food though? Black Harlem takes an L. Us Latinos got that shit on lock. Check those joints out. The Dominicans put my fellow Mexican NYC food to fucking shame ....... The trains fucking suck tho.
I went to city college like 20 yrs ago, even back then walking around at night didn't scared me. There's always loads of cops in that neighborhood. There's plenty of spot in brooklyn, queens and bronx that's lot scarier. Harlem's just the most famous black neighborhood in NYC, but's it's far from the worst.
I’m a white dude and I stayed in Harlem on 120th & Lennox for a week. I loved it. Great food all around the area. I walked all the way from 120th to Wall St. You’ll see every walk of life if you do that. It’s amazing.
It,s just a shame how separated we have become. I grew up on Bolling AFB in SE DC. in the 70s. I would drive up MLK to the liquor store in the middle of the night and never have a problem. I went to Central high school and it was fine. I,m 63 and we are so much more separated now. It,s just so damn sad. Government loves it so we cannot see who the real enemy is.
I used to go to Harlem fairly often in the 70's. My Japanese wife performed there in the 80's. Saw a number of Jazz performances there. One of my favorite food stops was at Momma Mammy Jammy's who made the most amazing soul-subs.
You guys are great; love the reactions. Haha you left the screen door open for the dog to do his/her business and and the mosquitoes come in; so real. Too cute! Thanks guys!!
Dude, my black friends are the chillest dudes that don't care how they look. They care only about how they come across as people. They have been there for me in some really tough times. Only thing I have to keep up with them on is music when we're jamming together.
I enjoy watching these videos. I feel like you guys give honest reactions and you guys seem very genuine. You guys seem fun to hang out with. Bill Burr is one of my favorite comedians so I always enjoy watching these. Keep it up!
I heard Bill say on his podcast that the friends that were trashing him about his clothes were Charlie Murphy and Donnell Rawlings from the Chappelle show. They always gave him shit on the road when they would tour.
I loved how you guys commented yall would have been nervous there too. I lived near there for a year once and it really isn't dangerous at all. I have a good story about different types of black people. I'm Hispanic, grew up in south miami and I went to a predominantly black high school. It wasnt very racist, most people had friends of different races but it felt more segregated than it probably was because you could tell differences between us. But one time we played a big football game against a school in the inner city that was very "black". Our school had a lot of what we thought were serious black kids with gold teeth and dreads but as soon as we got up there it was obvious who was from our school and who was from theirs even if you didn't know the kids. The kids up there were scary looking and even the ghetto kids from our school looked scared. We were all white up there. There was even some gun fire on their side during the game. We later learned it was over a gambling dispute. No one was shot but our whole team ran off the field when they heard the shots and their side barely flinched. Not all black people are the same no matter what people might make you think. To paraphrase Chris Rock there are black people and there are (dangerous people). Only racists can't tell the difference.
Word. This is Bill Burr genius, cuz points out some great social pre_dispositions to shit.PLUS by experience 3am-5am walking is true hours to be out n exposed in NYC, Its alright & allot of folks getting upready for work. But best of luck to all late nighters getting down. * RIP to your cousin Polk!!
I'm white and you married to a beautiful woman, buddy. She got natural beauty. But I'm old. 47 to be honest. Glad to see that you are happy with each other. Be good to each other. Stay peaceful, appreciate your partner, grow and love one another. Good to see.
The 2/3 drops you off at 125th and Lenox. The A train on 125th drops you off on St. Nicolas where the St. Nick projects are which used to be rough and are still no picnic.
