@@KenoshaKicker A plain ole sandstorm has absolutely nothing on an Arabian sandstorm. Do you understand the quantity and rate at which sand is dispersed throughout those deserts on a regular day? It's about equivalent to the amount of snow, ice, and rocks that fall during an avalanche on mountains, but that shaping and sculpting happens every day in extreme deserts. Throw 50+mph winds on top of the regular winds, and you have a shitstorm of horrible pain and discomfort. For so many damn miles... Kansas has nothing on Saudi Arabia
You know he is good when the guy that's working on the sound is laughing. That's what makes Bill Burr the best, you just hear him speak and without trying to be funny you lose a rib how hard you laugh.
Much love from Antwerp for the comedy goat of my generation. Never knew you were here. Hope to see you soon, wish I could show you around, that would be a story.
Right but they have to subpoena the cell provider. Jimmy is saying anyone and everyone will be able to collect any text ever sent without having to do anything in a legal sense. Even though it would be a huge invasion of privacy so who knows if it'll ever happen.
Racism is a learned behavior, I don't think I can learn to be schizophrenic. Not liking someone for whatever reason is not comparable having the spontaneous urge to kill.
people care when they've got nothing else to do. It's not because it's there it's because it's there and they have the free time to go and dig around. if you're running work and got your mind and three other things then you could give a shit what's on the news as long as it doesn't involve you. at least that's what used to be the general mindset
Ant is on Sirius's most wanted list. Ari Schaffir and Rogan were doing a show there and tried getting him in and Sirius security actually stopped him from going up. It'd be easier for a terrorist to get in the building before Ant could.
the show is a little torturous though. Not enough relief from the nightmare. It's like when are things going to turn around for one of these characters!?
Tony Manriquez this is a secure paycheck and unless your bill or jre and have that cult following your not going to make alot of money podcasting thats why bill has like 6 ads a podcast
shemar rodney I don't remember hearing an ad and they don't bother me.. I see your point. These guys are comedians 1st though. That sounds like the only job with absolute freedom that I can think of. It comes down to me wanting to hear/ see more of people I'm a fan of without censorship or other influences aside from their own...
Yeah I get that people will someday want to look at texts and phone calls. I don't want to, AND I don't care if some idiot wants to spy on me. I hope they're entertained but I don't really care. I don't do drugs or commit other crimes and my credit is nonexistent so who cares!
Bill is doing so many interviews that they just ALL sound the exact same. I get it, but damn.. I was looking forward to this interview, but it mind as well have been with Katie fucking Couric.
There's still time for that to happen and hopefully it does. Just imagine how awesome his first special will be after the divorce. Also, when he was saying that he was with nia then. The MMP started in like 07 and him and nia have been together since like 04 or 05 or something like that. So its funny that he was saying how he would end up old and alone when he was with nia.
3:40 I love how far fetched Jim's proposal is for retrieving data lost in history, but then I thought about it further as a software engineer, and wondered, if given sufficient technology advancements, could we extract that information if we could travel large distances outwards away from the Earth? Radio and electronic interference waves on Earth propagate into space and move further and further away from our planet, but the signals are still there (albeit very weak now). Just to give some further context to this silly proposal, in 1900, Reginald Fessenden made the first voice transmission over the airwaves, that transmission has so far travelled about 110 light-years away from Earth. The signal is incredibly weak, but it is there and accessible to us if we had sufficient technology advancements.
clearly didnt need a good grade in Physics to be a software engineer did you? :P Those signals are EM waves, meaning that they're going at the speed of light. IF we develop some tech that could make us travel at the speed of light we'd still be a 110 light years behind that signal, oh it gets worse, since according to classical mechanics nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, so we cant catch up to them. Ever. so yeah. No you cant. But on the flip side they do use light from distant stars to gather information about their chemical composition and stuff.
Nahh man he's completely lost his edge since becoming a dad. Not saying being a dad is a bad thing but ya know. He should abandon those kids asap, or at least get a divorce. Imagine how fire his first special would be after the divorce, and hopefully the divorce is coming.
Nice he is talking about our shithole called Antwerp :-) Hope you come back one day because the show in Antwerp wasnt that great , i dont blame him . That show was i think his last show of his grand tour . nevertheless a bigger fan after that show :-) I couldnt keep it up when he was talking about fat shaming while i was sittign next to a fat couple lol
It's fucking great that Burr always tries to think about a question enough to have a good answer, as well as not bullshitting anything. Jim being friends with him helps too since it seems like Burr doesn't need to worry about whether or not Jim will understand what he's saying; it's a natural conversation. He needs to be on weekly.
What was the name of the guy Bill mentions in the very end, who does his podcast? Andrew something? Was woundering, si he by any chance Allen Palin who was doing video montages of Bill riffing? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ipZfLQQGyNs.html
This was a great conversation as opposed to almost everything that's been on JRE the last few weeks. I love Joe's podcast, but it's definitely been in a slump lately.
Saying deleted SMS (text messages) are going to be retrievable because you can intercept TV SIGNALS (WHICH ARE MADE FOR BROADCASTING) is an example of idiocy spreading among the masses
I dont get...the "voices" on cartoons, l didnt recognise a single one....whatever !!! Love Burr tho, and love that Jim Norton went to Europe and sold out, he really is a solid comic and great guy, l think he'll become one of the greatest, he just needs a little more ego, more eagerness to put himself out there...he's hilarious, like CK and Burr and Gaffigan and all dat..
It's hilarious watching people that have no idea how tech works try to talk about technology. I don't even know where to start. *cue the nerd in mom's basement jokes*
Jim is so naive. All your electronic communication ha been recorded and stored for years. From today you should consider the electromagnetic spectrum compromised.
I can't say I'm listening to all of the gang;s entire shows,as much as I'd like too--but I must have blinked--I never hear any more references to Club Soda Kenny.Whats the story?I would have thought there'd be some good stories with him and Jimmy in Europe...
I'm not totally sure about this, but I think the difference is Bill doesn't care about the gossip and drama in the lives of (for example) Professional Sports Players. On his podcast, isn't it EveryDay People, better, his Fans who write in, even ask him for advice, telling of the gossip and drama in Our Lives (EveryDay People) etc....? I could be completely wrong, I've not had the time to listen to many of his podcasts, but what I have, was like that.
Binging is great but I think something is lost with the weekly episodes format. It builds the story up over a much greater period of time which makes it feel more epic overall and adds to your anticipation and overall enjoyment. Delayed gratification and all that. Same reason why books are more epic than TV, because it takes longer to digest and you become more engrossed in the story.
After watching the Ronald Bernard interview I had to come to the harsh realization that no matter how "woke" I am, I am still a dope that is part of the masses.
