Bill Burr has a wife and two children, a successful career, he's made an animated show for Netflix, starred in Chappelle's Show, Breaking Bad and Star Wars, he plays the drums, bakes and knows how to fly a helicopter. He thinks for himself and never changed who he is to be more successful or make more money. He's a role model.
He just knows when and what not to say when and what to say. I've seen his stand up when the cameras are off. He's definitely matured but oh my was he so good.
I absolutely love how fascinated Bill is with Bobby haha. He loves that he's a weirdo, but also shows mad respect to him and his craft. Great interview.
Bobby Lee is probably the best one to interview Bill Burr! Everyone else never knows how to handle him. Bill likes being slightly disrespected if its in good taste because he will, for sure, do the same to the host
Bill's advice at 1:12:40 really helped me re-frame my perspective on my own life. I'm turning 25 in June and found myself relating to the unhelpful advice. "Go after what you wanna do" so simple, but so helpful
Perhaps it's just me, but Bill Burr seems much more kind and patient towards Bobby than other people. Looks like he has a lot of affection for the guy.
You can tell these 2 are good friends just how Bill is laughing and totally comfortable around Bobby. The most comfortable and having just letting loose I've ever seen.
I remember when bobby was telling a story of bill having an honest conversation with him for hours about kids and marriage and then when bobby gave his opinion and bill said " I gotta go home now" and left as bobby started talking lol
@@aig9672 Yeah it's just burr... People always assume it's personal, like when burr did that at the end of theo von or Ethan Kleins podcast or so.. Burr has kids and a wife. If he needs to go he needs to go
You know Bobby is nervous about Bill when Bill asks “are we going,” and Bobby says “there are no rules.” No rules?! Apparently Bill gets a pass on the “no taking until you’re introduced” rule. Haha
I think it's like that with most people. If other comedians saw personalities like Bobby's on the street they wouldn't make eye contact and they'd walk away like any other sane person. there's alot of people like bobby where I'm from, they're just on crack. dude takes his uniqueness as an individual and molds it into comedy. he has a fucked up side that he's learned to manipulate into his act and his career as a whole. dudes a legend
He sure didn’t seem to appreciate Theo Von’s personality….or anything he said. It was kind of hard for me to watch their podcast interview, bc I felt like I was watching Theo the floppy eared innocent little puppy get bullied by a (normally welll-behaved)pit bull who was feeling grumpy that day anyway….& then he found himself babysitting the same damn puppy who is now a toddler who has no clue that yanking on the pit’s tail & ears is “annoying” to most any dog-& I just kept hoping Bill wouldn’t lose it & “snap”. Meaning snap Theo’s puppy/baby neck in the most brutal way Bill could destroy such a relatively inexperienced/unsophisticated & much-“newer “ comic as Theo:……. VERBALLY.😟😥🤭😬☹️
@@campbelldr Burr has commented about that. He said he has no clue what fans are talking about and that he thinks they're reading a lot into it that just isn't there. He said he likes Theo and didn't think there was anything weird about that episode. He said he didn't even realize people were talking about it because there was nothing abnormal about filming it. According to him they got along and had a great time, then for some reason he doesn't get everyone decided he was pissed off and didn't like Theo.
@@tysopodcastsubreddit5648 It’s not even like that, he’s just has an all round masculine personality. No bullshit and nothing’s to heart. Just taken & given how it is.
@@sebastianGunnarson71 night and day. Bill talked about it and said he just didn’t get Theo as a person but now he does. He never really interacted with Theo.
One thing i love about bobby and bill, they are themselves 100% Take away the fame and money and success, I don't think they'd be much different. Bobby being damn near 50 but acting 9, and bill burr looking like hes been 45 for the last 20 years. my favorite comics
Seriously when his first baby was still a lil baby, hearing him do a Bill Burr version of baby talk and the amount of adoration I could hear in his voice was so fucking wholesome. He's really a one of a kind guy and comedian, a seriously rare occurrence as far as people go.
My friends and I took a chance and saw Bobby live in Irvine. I almost died of secondhand embarrassment. It was the most awkward and funny thing I’ve every seen. Bill is my favorite comedian and have yet to see him but hopefully someday.
Been listening to ol Billy for more then a decade on his podcast. Hese a big great softie with a great heart, his stand up isn't him by a long shot, just a big portion
@@m.willems7030 I agree he comes off way nicer in his own podcast, but you must have not seen his notoriously habit of him being a guest on a podcast and not being the the nicest person
It's a woman, of course she gonna wait until someone else bring the subject to the table and do the first punch, so she can kick him in the floor. Don't get me wrong, i think she is one of the handful of woman that can keep up with comedians without being annoying or make all thing about her. And that's fucking refreshing. But, that move is a classic woman move i tell ya.
Yea there was so much conflicting information at the start it was ridiculous. Its like instead of figuring out the best answer and moving forward with it, everyone was trying to argue that they were right and knocking down calling people stupid for disagreeing
Lol to be honest I’ve been turned off of Joe Rogan since. He speaks as though he is a medical expert and kept mocking the precautions for COVID. Still find him interesting but I just want him to be aware of how many people sponge up what he says as factual.
@@FirstnameLastname-ys1up Tennessee Flag with alternate colors. I did it back when CM Punk was still in WWE and was wearing his white t-shirt with the Chicago flag.
14:13 The way Bill's face changes as he looks at Bobby being a goofball... It's a little but like he thinks Bobby is adorable, like a silly child is adorable.
Why would anyone be afraid of him? He's not a saint, he's no spiritual leader, he's not a professional on any subject, except stand up comedy. There's absolutely zero reason to fear him. Either you're interested in learning from someone or you're talking shit. There's no room for fear in an hour long + convo. Bill Burr is like 10 kids I grew up with. He'll shoot the shit with his boys and expect some retaliation for being a dick. As long as you don't let him step all over you, you'll probably gain his respect.
@10:00 my own embarrassing story like bobs is when I went for a physical for a job. So I go into the doctor's room and he is doing the usual checking lungs heart etc. So then he says I am going to check you for hernias which is when they grab your testies and cough. Well I heard hemorrhoids so here I go turning around spreading the cheeks only for him to turn me around and say no no no. You can only imagine the drive home thinking the doctor is telling the whole staff. 🤣🤣
bill saying to bobby he doesnt want to sit there and listen to bobby compliment him was so refreshing, usually comics on tigerbelly soak it up.He sees right through bobbys shit
Absolutley!!! Phillipinos are the best. I brought my toddler children over to my Phillipino friends home for a barbecue and they treated my children like royalty. Friends and family told my wife and I to enjoy ourselves and they passed my children around giving them all the love and attention they were craving. I felt completely safe knowing that my children were receiving that love. My wife and I were supported and it felt great! Awesome people!!! Christ like. It was amazing!
You can tell when Bill gets bothered by Bobby, like when Bobby's self-deprecation goes overboard. All that honest insecurity just pouring out can make any situation uncomfortable. But at the same time, I believe that Bill admires Bobby for that. It's a really interesting dynamic.
These kind of thoughts are literally the only thoughts that get me down and depressed. I would give my right have to have Patrice around today. I need to see him destroy EVERYONE. Patrice would have had number one podcast in competition with Joe rogan I do believe. But I would have preferred him and Ant cumia and called it the two racists lol
1:24:32 What a great exchange. Holy shit, that was some gold right at the end there. Funny, but real and touching too. Watching Bill not let someone he cares about off the hook until they're straight with him.
WOW the Tigerbelly Podcast is just getting better and better with each episode! Thank you all so much for creating such an incredible show. Great work.
This podcast was amazing, never thought I’d needed Burr on here but this was the most fun. Feels like it draw something out of Bobby and it was amazing.
Bobby and Bill are an amazing combo. Love the dynamic. Also love how I'm talking about how people's personalities blend as if we're mixing soft drinks.
I think it's also cuz theo went straight to sharing and being friends talking about himself, instead of being professional, kind of letting Bill talk about himself and then start a rapport there.
As a casual fan I haven't seen Burr so comfortable in an interview... even during the praise he maintained attentiveness! Fucking A+ pod one of the best this year overall
2:36 Thats actually not a joke, you have no idea how cold your head can feel until you go bald, you might think nah its probably just chilly, no, its winter is coming level cold.
@@YoungShyne123 exactly. I don't wear hats because I don't won't people to think I hate my shit hairline. I mean I do hate my shit hairline, but I'm more insecure about people thinking I'm insecure, which is a bit fucked in a way
Yea there are people saying "she talks with the authority" or whatever bullshit questioning her background. What really matters is was anything she said true or accurate, and yes it was.
