i remember this. I know its a Nopie show, but during this fight Opie had his worst interjection of all time. Patrice is like winding down talking at one point and Opie just randomly reads a news headline derailing the fight, its douche chilly.
So you wanted the fight to keep going? You do know this fight fucked up their friendship, right? Burr talks about how Patrice and him, weren’t ever the same again. Don’t forget that the fight was so bad, Burr didn’t even want to go to his funeral.
@@harrybobarry What are you talking about? And are you new to this because you're totally wrong. I listened to this live in like 2006-07. Patrice died like 5-6 years later. They had made up relatively soon after this.
I remember that. He says "Bling bling bang bang" out of nowhere like you said. Then Patrice said something like "well alright they're telling me I have to go" Fuck opie
@@MP-dn4cp You sound dumb. Maybe you should try hearing everyone’s piece instead of lying about you hearing this live when you barely found out about RU-vid 7 years ago.
Given Patrice is the king of trashing on people for no reason I don’t see why he needs to feel apologetic. I don’t think Patrice really cared that much.
@@bobby9192 If you hear that "somebody" or a "friend" is talking s*** about you, go ask them!!Just don't believe what other people say. p.s -That's my point!!! I am not hating on bill, it's just facts. black or white doesn't matter....
Look every good duo needs someone to play the straight man like Robin. Unfortunately, Opie didnt have the self awareness to know that he was not naturally funny like Ant and that he was the straight man. He wanted to be equal with Ant rather than complimentary.
Your commenting on something that happened between friends a decade ago they both were in the wrong in my opinion Patrice can dish it can’t take it billy should of went and spoke with Patrice instead of entertaining opie and Anthony they lived for shit like this o the show
This is a good reminder to be aware when your anger is not justified and calming down is a good idea. RIP Patrice O'Neal. Much respect to Bill Burr. Great and hilarious share, Nopie.
Patrice was mad cause billy said he bombed lol Patrice argued that he didn’t even have a chance to bomb. If Billy hadn’t said the word bomb, we wouldn’t have this treasure to listen to. I love it.
I’ve heard most of these bits a few times, and I know everyone says it, but wow, it’s so refreshing to not hear that hole every two seconds, ruining everything.
@@tukos7370 I've heard it dude he's spoke about it multiple times, you sometimes have those fights with people you're close to. I'm saying there's no need to be the feelings police and specify the exact size of the fight lol what a weird thing to feel the need to point out. Where is the bro in you people? Does the g-code no longer exist amongst men?
Unfair for Billy to say that Patrice was bombing. It was a phone call and Mancow muted him like an asshole. Rich Vos is the example for bombing, he tells a joke... And gets no laughs. That's a bomb. Patrice got mad in the call because burr kept saying Patrice had trashed him and threw him under the bus according to fans(PESTS). While saying Patrice was bombing and had nothing else to say to Mancow to defend himself. When realistically, we all know that in person, Patrice was a whole other animal worse than Aries Spears and he can perfectly well speak loud enough to bypass a muted mic to trash some idiots on their own show. Patrice was down to do shit like that and burn bridges. This is why Patrice was telling Burr that he knows him and that he wouldn't just take any shit from anybody. Burr fucked this up.
Every time I hear this it feels like O&A set up bill , at 2:20 you hear Anthony laughing and then Patrice clearing his throat at 3:30, I know it’s radio but dam.
The lived for shit like this on the show and it was pretty uncomfortable for them u can tell instead of laughing and crash sound bites they let the each say there piece and then settle it
how great would it be if Patrice and Bill would have turned on O & A here for stirring shit. They knew what they were doing, between Bill wanting to stand his ground and try and win one, and Patrice's pride, it was not gonna happen. It's hard to be the king of trashing and be good at getting trashed..
This needed to happen. I loved the comedians but the dumb repetitive radio bits were too annoying to listen all the way through to get to burr or Patrice
there's alot more to say then this but I just wanted to say I can't believe YT waited until Patrice died to recommend he's legacy. wish I coulda met homie. also can't believe Bill Burr even knew Patrice. if he was to be alive today he'd reck shit.
The fight was his fault to begin with. He was upset because the pests attacked him in emails. He should know enough that the fans are idiots 90% of the time. Patrice didn't even blame him and Bill was accusing him of it because of some emails. A perfect example is that idiot from Carolina who argued with Jim and Sam about whether or not Jim went on Howard before. He was so confident despite being 100% wrong.
@@CaptanF0reverRemember the caller who tried to correct Anthony about the Enola Gay? He called in and insulted Anthony to tell him that the Enola Gay was a boat.....
I loved patrice's comedy but When he was in one of his moods he burned every chance he had to get to next level. I was to late by the time he knew what he had to do to get to the level as rock & ck & burr.
does anyone know if this was before or after BIll's epic Philly meltdown? I love listening to this but still bummed out that they were never 100% after this little debacle.
I think I can hear that Patrice is bothered by the Interaction between him and Man-Cow,And because he cursed on FM , It was doomed from there. Patrice looked dumb and he didn’t like it. Bill took a swing and accidentally hurt Patrice. At the end of the day We all miss Patrice❤️
Patrice had ZERO ability to take any form of criticism. Even though Bill still regrets letting it get this far, Patrice couldn’t handle the white guy saying “I was trying to help you.” Sucks these two were on the outs when Patrice died.
Exactly this. When you go back and watch tough crowd he's the one laughing the least at jabs directed toward him. He was still one of the best to ever do it though.
You're misunderstanding the relationship dynamic between them. Bill Burr was practically like Patrice's little brother, so when Billy says "I'm trying to help you" it comes across as condescending because whatever methodology that Bill would've used to help Patrice is something that Patrice already taught him. It would be like Kobe Bryant telling Jordan how to shoot a fade away, Jordan would promptly look at Kobe & laugh, then quickly remind him he's the one who taught Kobe how to shoot that shot in the first place.
@@wilhelmvg9978 I didn't say he taught him everything he knows, specifically he taught him how to be a "ball buster" which was the context of what they were arguing about. And how do I know that? Because Bill Burr said it out of his own mouth, that he didn't develop that element of his comedy until he started doing stand up with Patrice. They came up around the same time out of Boston & Burr actually started a few years after Patrice, he said himself that he learned how to break balls from having to be around guys like Patrice & Bob Kelly all the time & he eventually got good at it himself.
@@wilhelmvg9978 " where you get that notion" you either a new bill burr Stan or just a dummy ... it's clear to see and plus burr has admitted it many times
Patrice was so insecure. It’s sad he’s gone. If he just had more confidence in himself in general, his career would’ve done a lot better. I don’t need to hear the whole story to know that Patrice is in the wrong here
@@gingerhermit I don't know about that man. Even thr best of us have their moments. Noone is a good sport 100% of the time except our instances aren't recorded
@@thinkman2467 yeah agreed there's validity to both your opinions. Patrice wasn't the best sport in this case but Bill wasn't the most supportive although I'm sure Bill at the moment thought Patrice would've done the same. Either way I don't get ppls need to jump on Patrice for being human lol. Dude is a goat let him rest.
@@londonmmc my point was Patrice's was wrongly accused by Bill Burr of throwing Patrice under the bus and turning fans of the show against him. Patrice really proved that he never insinuated Bill did or directly said that, it was the fans take. From the jump Bill had anger not just giving Patrice shit he came at Patrice with verbal aggression and Patrice matched that aggression and maybe and surpassed it.
Patrice was in the right… Bill was Wrong and listened to e-mails!! And Patrice is right… he and others taught Billy to trash people… Bill himself will tell you he was a shy quiet bullied boy… he wasnt funny… after trying acting he “tried” stand up… after hanging out with comics he took from what he saw them doing and started to “act” like them because thats what Billy is… an “actor” and he plays a comedian really well…. RIP Patrice 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Anthony is funny as fuck dude. Seriously fucking funny. His Anthony Dice Clay bits, his racial bits with Patrice, all kinds of shit that dude could do. Ant could pull most impressions and movie quotes out of a hat. Guy was too good lol
You realize Patrice took any opportunity to trash anyone. That’s what he did. And he was a legend for it. Bill was just trying to give it back to him a little. Plus he thought Patrice threw him under the bus, so he just came on to bust balls. Patrice got all defensive because he didn’t think he deserved ball-busting and he’s trying to put Bill in his place. That’s what this call is. Saying Bill sounds like an a hole makes me think you don’t understand their relationship at all. The only issue was Bill failed to be funny, so it came off weird.
@@seanmatthewking I agree with parts of what you said, but look at the last thing you said. "The only issue was Bill failed to be funny". That's nearly THE definition of a hole. Allowing your girly tendencies to spoil the funny
@@ricardo950535 I never said he wasn't a giving person. I'm saying he argues and handles things like a girl. For example, he had a problem with something Ant did. Rather than talk it out like proper gentlemen, he banned him from his dead friends benefit. Probably because his ugly wife crawled up his ass Speaking of Nia, her mom and dad forgot the two "G"s when naming her. Tss home run Chippa
I was watching one where he said something funny and it was left in. I'm guessing he is getting the same treatment as Kathleen Roll. Although nobody dislikes Kathleen.
This changed their relationship forever, both of them were wrong, bill was more wrong. Now bill raises $ for his mom every year out of guilt over it partly. Listen to the show, patrice got along much better with ant and jimmy than bill after this.
