Its a shame how the law make it so easy for women to use they're bodies as a tool to incarcerate man some women are not victims some are volunteers and the only thing they have to do is scream rape without no proof of anything and the innocent man goes to jail. In a just world he would be in prison for a LONG time, but he also should be free due to the mistakes the prosecution made to try and put a monster behind bars. If we ignore deals prosecutors make then our system breaks. The former attorney should be investigated to see if he made that promise with an ulterior motive or out of pure stupidity. all the comments are true. this county is corrupt and has been corrupt for some time and only the former D.A. had any integrity to know there was no case and no evidence. they basically made up a kangaroo court AFTER the first trial said there was no evidence and that they didn't prove Cosby did ANYTHING. so after presenting the most corrupt case in history, convicted Cosby. And, everyone had a book deal.

I agree yes they cannot sentence somebody and put them in jail without evidence of a crime. That's yes by the law Bill Cosby had to be set free. But morally deep down in my gut I believe he he did do it he raped those women along with Hugh Hefner who should be the one really in prison but he died before anyone find out about him and I'm more angry about that than anything.
Back when those women were sexually assaulted it was a time when that was normal and they would end up being humiliated by society while the man stays free of retribution. It also causes a lot of emotional and physical trauma that people who weren’t sexually assaulted (myself included) don’t understand. You must be a male who has no idea in your tiny brain what it is like for them.

This is what happens when prosecutors break the law. When law enforcement break the law and that violation of the law is proven as in this case, the courts will dismiss the case and drop all charges. By law, police have been promised that all abuse of power, all violations committed by cops cannot be brought in a court of law. The law is called qualified immunity. I say immunity should be illegal period! If immunity was not part of our laws, Cosby would not be given it as a shield and cops wouldn't be shielded from being charged in a court of law, and their records sealed. Don't be simply mad that Cosby is shielded because of immunity laws and yet be silent that cops are shielded because of the same immunity laws. Fight to END IMMUNITY FOR ANYONE!!!!!

yeah but also he was innocent, all the evidence given was just word of mouth and most of those women were paid to target him for the case and several admitted to lying afterwards, he never plead guilty and he was simply found guilty because women said so, there was no evidence of rap, there was evidence at worst of drug distribution at best...
He's the only person who comes out of jail in better shape than he went in. During his trial he used both a walker and wheel chair, seemed like he couldn't see more than a few feet. He comes out of jail able to stand on his own, sees just fine, and walks on his own with assistance for balance... No canes, wheelchairs or walkers.... Funny how that works.
Because its obviously you were not following how he was doing while in jail.They reported he was doing a lot of fitness training and how he had cut down on his favourite foods eating healthy.
He never should have been put in the prison in the first place. Bill didn't do any of that the jealous and attention seeking people of this world just wanted to see somebody who is well to do suffer for no apparent reason. It's okay in the end they're going to answer to God for this
This case legally should have never made it to court due to Cosby's legal Immunity, and there were also several other procedural errors made that could have opened the door for an appeal as well. Cosby was Rail-Roaded, however this result doesn't necessarily indicate whether he was innocent or guilty. In my opinion the evidence against him was flimsy in the first place. Relying on outdated testimony against a rich celeb, potentially for money reasons. Or perhaps the D.A "Publicly Shaming" Cosby while having him serve over 2 yrs in prison while his appeal is still pending. I believe Cosby may be able to seek financial compensation for his illegal imprisonment as well. The truly guilty party in this case is the D.A.'s prosecution who wasted these alleged victims and tax payers time and heartache knowing full well the conviction could be overturned. The D.A. took a huge gamble and got caught cutting corners. Corners they may have not bothered trying to cut had this been just a normal citizen being tried, instead of a world famous celebrity scalp they were trying to hang on their wall. The disgraced prosecution will now do a media tour in an attempt to spin their complete failure. To justify why they violated Mr. Cosby's legal rights and waste the alleged victims and tax payers time and money through their overly optimistic legal pursuits. This reminds me of the corners cut by the prosecution in the OJ Simpson case (another rich black celeb scalp) which resulted in his acquittal.

I would call this justice, but it falls short. Real justice would look more like the disbarment of the prosecutor and judge involved in this fiasco as well as a substantial monetary award to Bill Cosby for the injustice perpetrated against him.
The whole case never sat right with me, if you watch the Bill Cosby documentary, you'll see that there is a lot that doesn't add up and a lot of holes in the case. I am just glad he's free now, he should just rest and enjoy his freedom, with his friends and family.

Back then it wasn’t always that easy to do that. You risked be called a liar or defamed, especially if the person you’re accusing is popular. Plus, sexual assault mentally wrecks you and you’re not in the mental state to be able to speak up.

@@79Bobola It's important because without evidence you can't convict someone as per due process. Innocent until proven guilty, just accusing someone is not enough. Laws are written so that innocent is not punished and culprit is convicted. Justice is important for both innocent and victim. Without due process blackmailing and extortion can be easily done. Like one can accuse their boss if they do not get promotion. How can you prevent blackmailing in such cases. Waiting longer makes the case weak and unnecessarily sets a bad precedence.
