With Chase winning the Nationwide championship and breaking the record for being the youngest to ever do so, I think he's well on his way to doing big things in this sport. Plus next season is gonna be great seeing him also run part time in Sprint.
Restrictor plates were invented so that other drivers would have a chance against Bill Elliott, and if we're honest, NASCAR screwed him for being fast. Dale Earnhardt, who I also liked, is known for restrictor plate races (among many other things). Just makes me wonder how things would have and should have turned out.
That's not entirely true, according to NASCAR they were concerned that the cars would get air born, but in 1985 knowing these cars could take off at those speeds they raised the front of Elliotte's car 1/2 inch ( as they did with all the fords, but let's be honest, Elliotte is the one that scared them) . Anyone who understands aerodynamics knows this hugely increases the chances that a car could become air born. (This comment was hugely influenced by the consumption of alcohol, but I think I did pretty damn good)
