Actually the connection between country and Gospel music are very very integrated. Many of the traditional country music artists have recorded one if not more Gospel albums. Reba McIntyre,Connie Smith,Marty Stuart,Bill Anderson,Jan Howard,Charlie Pride,Ferlin Husky, and many other country music stars have recorded Gospel albums and many of them often had very deep church roots. I was introduced to both country and Gospel music simultaneously by my beloved late father.
