As a nurse that's been working in hospitals and nursing facilities what I see is a medical system that is barely functional to begin with being stressed from a very contagious and specifically respiratory illness. The medical system charges people in the US exorbitant prices and that money goes in the wrong pockets. The pharmaceutical and insurance companies take more than half the pie. Then you pay this CEO figure he takes a huge piece, any stock holders and chairs. Finally the smallest slices go to the workers and facilities. Hospitals are always understaffed, underfunded and are barely able to manage. Management in hospitals and care homes is usually the worst and the only time I've ever seen action when I've been there is during times of crisis. So let's hope this is a wake up call. Let's get out of the stone age.

Yes, if you don't stop the disease from spreading in your multifamily household, the shutdown is going to take much longer. But Spain, France and the UK are heading exactly in Italy's trajectory and in Spain and the UK's case, even worse, so i don't think those demographics make that much of a difference. Also, the US is also heading in that trajectory as well, especially in certain states like New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Even California and Illinois aren't out of the woods either. All we can do is prepare for the category 4 and 5 hurricanes heading for direct impact to all of those states...
