This is one of those very rare shows (or films) that will grow in popularity and acclaim for the next few decades (at least) as reality catches up to how far ahead of its time BARRY is. BREAKING BAD was nearly canned after the first season failed to attract much of an audience. Only the fact that a few experts admired it gave it a second chance season 2. A decade from now I imagine that many people will not understand how such a masterpiece had such a relatively small audience. But all the opinions that matter are loudly praising this show - and that's better than any viewing figures. See FRIENDS or THE BIG BANG THEORY to get my point.
