Bloody cool CATS!! Both the old style ,Jazz and Rock 'n' Roll cats have fun when playing . Too sad the young cats don't understand this . Break a leg CATS 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yes Saskabush, but I also detect Frankie "Frannie" Beecher on guitar (he died a few months ago at 93) and Johnny Grande on piano, along with Marshall Lyttle on upright bass and vocals. A nice clip. I love both, Comets and Jodimars. Greetings from Spain.
Yeah ok it swings great. But I can`t help but thinking that Marshall Lyttle(Bass) Joey Ambrosia (Sax) and Dick Richards (Drums) all left Bill as early as 1955. But Franny Beecher(Guitar) and Johnny Grande (Piano) stayed with him untill 1962. Johnny as long as from 1949 to 1962,so the other guys are cashing in on a dead man,I think. Bill was only 55 when he died in 1981. It`s hard to run a Band, especially if the members keeps asking for more money. Bill was fantastic.
The group was put back together for a charity event and then stayed together because the guys had a blast playing together again. It wasn't really about the money. Although Johnny and Franny were the two that played on ALL the hits. Also in terms of reunion, Bill didn't hold any grudges against his former bandmates later in his career. Founding member Billy Williamson tried to arrange a reunion, but plans were scrapped when Bill died. When the actual reunion did occur, Billy didn't join for unknown reasons.
