Well, I don't know that he is right about almost everything; but I suppose that's a subjective view. He does actually use his brain when analyzing and discussing issues instead of just forming opinions and arguments based off of Facebook memes and partisan soundbites. Need more of that in our culture.
I loved King’s take on Maher’s initial “absolutist” view on the 4th amendment, when later applied to “droning” a citizen for conspiring against America/hurting others. I pretty much agree with Bill’s idea and distinction, but Larry was sharp for catching that and pressing him on to explain his logic. That is the way you interview. I miss Larry, RIP.

Bill is wrong about drone strikes against american citizens. Even if the guy was planning to attack the white house, they could have arrested him. Killing someone without due process is a crime. The guy was planning to break the law, but he hadn't done so yet. That is the difference. The rules that have been changed in order to make this possible should be of serious concern for everyone who cherishes their human rights and freedom.

@@Soapandwater6 i do. There isn't. It makes zero sense that there is anything beyond death, the same way there was nothing before life. It was just something they made up in early times to use to control people. It blows my mind that in 2021, a large portion of the world continue to believe this crap.
The discussion about droning and the 4th amendment was very frustrating to listen to. Bill seems to think the constitution only applies when the results are appealing to his politics. I hope that he has given that issue a bit more thought.

Maher, speaks truth most of the time, but as a white man he still enjoys the privileges of whites. If somebody of a different race or ethnicity said what Maher says for example a Hispanic they'd be called a non-american right away. Eventhough American cities with Spanish names i.e. Los Angeles, San Antonio, San Francisco are all considered American cities, the direct descendants of the people who founded these cities are still considered Mexicans. They have reserved the label " American" to themselves ignoring that they are some of the latest arrivals!
The crazy thing is that, someone watching this from the other side of the planet, we don’t see Obama as anything but a fast paced, forward thinking president. So watching this makes you think. Then again I wonder how badly Obama would be thought on now that Trump has @ucked the world up
Good interview, but I very much disagree on the idea that the ancients 'knew nothing of science'. Science has been involved in human society all along--its just that some of the assumptions, methods and conclusions are debatable. Science has always built on the findings of generations.

Bill is on target with about 70% of what he says. I take issue with his callous attitude towards drone killing.. Yes, there's some super bad people that probably "need killing". But like torture, the United States needs to take the moral high ground here, because at some point, drone technology will be in the hands of the very same folks that we're terrorizing with our drone strikes, and when we start seeing drone assassinations on Americans, here on American soil?? We'll have no moral high ground to say that it's unjust and a crime...
