Bill Mumy is one of the coolest guys that ever lived. I can't even begin to imagine my childhood without him.

I love how honest he is about everything. He's seems like a good guy. Down to earth (no pun intended).

From the title of the video, I thought he was going to talk about how the show went from being a serious sci fi, to a corn ball campy show. I didn't think it would be about how the show went from an ensemble show to the Will and Dr. Smith show. I am actually more fascinated with how the show became so cheesy, more than I am about which characters they focused on. The tone of the pilot episode is very serious, dark even... a world of difference compared to what the show ended up being.

Met Bill in 1987. Had a few beers with him and Miguel Ferrer at a Con in Atlanta, GA!

I agree with Billy, I think we would all love to go back to the favorite parts of our lives and relive the experience over again and appreciate it for what it was or is.

Every Friday afternoon I would race home from School to catch Lost In Space back in 1969/70 on UK TV.

The other comments say it all. Man, it would be so great to meet Bill one day. When I was a kid I wanted to be Will Robinson but I now know millions had the same thought.

I'm glad the show wasn't hardcore science fiction. I wouldn't have understood it at my age. When I got older I turned to Star Trek. But LIS has a charm to it that very few other shows had. I'm 58 now, and it is one of my all time favorites. I didn't care for Jonathan Harris when I was a kid, but after I grew up I realized what a great actor he was. I also have no favorite actors on LIS. The only thing I really disliked is I feel they really messed it up the third season. It changed completely. That "family" environment disappeared. I think they even dropped that wonderful John Williams music.

I love to hear what he has to say about the Movie that was made - with Matt LaBlanc, I liked it over-all..but they didnt use the original ship design....

I think the show "The Space Croppers" (#25) was the first episode that was fairly low in quality (though there was a cute woman on it and also a 'love interest' of Dr. Smith's, which invariably proved that he wasn't gay)..I mean the story line wasn't very good, it was absent of pretty much any special effects, etc. But each episode had something about it - some action, some special effect, some concept, some dialog - that I liked.
