Bill Nack: 'Saratoga Racing History' 

Award-winning author of 'Secretariat' William Nack spoke at the Saratoga Springs History Museum August 21, 2013 about some of the greatest races of all time at Saratoga including Secretariat's victory in the Hopeful Stakes in 1972, and the immortal Ruffian's victory in the Spinaway Stakes in 1974. The 1962 Travers Stakes, in which Jaipur and Ridan went head and head, nose and nose, from the start to the finish in what many consider the greatest horse race of all time. Nack will tell these stories and more that gave Saratoga Race Course the nickname the Graveyard of Favorites.
