Our traditional institutions should be separated from politics and power play. Ganduje dethroned an Emir for speaking against him and today a governor has reinstalled Emir Sanusi. It means that nothing is permanent in life and rightfully what belongs to a man belongs to man Governor's should not assume ultimate power because no man is God. Power belongs to God not man. Justice maybe delayed some time but it cannot be denied. Emir Sanusi had waited he did not go to court but today he has prevail against injustice and political meddling in traditional institutions. Thank you Mr. Governor for correcting this wrong. You've honoured your word and that shows leadership on your part
I guess you miss the point. It doesn't matter if it's Military Government, Political Government and or Colonial Administration, the State governor has the constitutional right to appoint a "Traditional" ruler. Lest we forget, the traditional institution have no power whatsoever , they are rather a ceremonial position.
@@abbaahmed8289 the law did not say that when you appoint you fire them like a commissioner for disagreeing with you. Appointment of a traditional ruler supposed to be a life time position not a political office with tenure. So read between the lines before you condemn someone. I'm not from Kano but a concern Nigerian who loves Kano people
They are just demystifying this traditional sit. Emir today tomorrow ousted by the whims and caprices of a governor. If I am Sanusi I will thank the Governor but I will not ascend that throne again.

Nigerians and their elders are so confused with decision making, enacting laws and understanding the separation to power and self centered agendas. Kudos to this governor, but this constant flippancy and lack of accountability is becoming a real joke after joke after….

I Am a biafran but I thank God for what this new governor of kano state did now. because Emre of kano has been there before I was born. even before Nigeria were formed.. empire of kano his been for hundred of years. before that wicked dandollars. Good move and am happy for Emir Sanusi, the issue here is the past government just created problems as these 5 dethrone emirs will not be happy and will always find a way to fight the rightful owner of the throne (Sanusi). They shamelessly took the throne and today they are shamefully removed.

I was very disappointed with his removal as the Emir of Kano.His Excellency is a brilliant man, who wants to elevate the status of girl child and stop early female marriage.I always listen to his podcast.He is simply very brilliant.He never contested the demotion, but rather continued to write and give relevant information to the whole of Nigeria and Africans all over the world. @okasefa563 both incoming and outgoing Emir are entitled to the throne....Incoming Emir Lamido Sanusi Lamido succeed the outgoing father late Ado Bayero who ruled Kano State as Emir for 50 something years and the incoming Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi grand father ruled Kano State for 10 years from 1953 to 1963 before the then premier of Northern Nigeria Sir Ahmadu Bello the Sardauna of Sokoto dethroned him Kano State is 44 local government which controls by one Emir until Ganduje came on board and devolved it, created additional three emirates and given Sanusi Lamido Sanusi 10 local government to be ruled over them out of 44...Allocate the remaining 34 to the newly three emirates he created
This reminds me of the old adage that states: "If everybody sets out to visit their grandparents at the same time, nobody will meet anybody at home." This also means that power except that of God is temporary. In the next eight years, depending on who becomes the governor and the legislative members, can again dethrone Emir Sanusi . I am hoping the governor of Imo state who appointed himself the commissioner for land in Imo state is watching.
